Politics / Re: Islamists To Yar’adua: We Want Total Islam - PM News by OYBMEND: 8:27pm On Jul 28, 2009 |
Kobojunkie: a typical answer, when you get under her skin she responds by addressing you as Dude (not that I take offence just an observation) your double standards are getting too long there is clear proof on this thread relative to the link I provided. |
Politics / Re: Islamists To Yar’adua: We Want Total Islam - PM News by OYBMEND: 8:14pm On Jul 28, 2009 |
for Kobojunkie members of Boko Haram are people's brothers, fathers and sons and we must treat them with compassion, while MEND are terrorists who should be snuffed out. What I find amazing is while Boko Haram seeks to abolish formal education and impose full blown sharia, MEND claims to be fighting for justice for their people who have been deprived of their God given wealth. This is another example in a long list of Kobo's Litany of double standards. Unfortunately the list is getting worryingly long. Here her talk about MEND in the link below and compare it to her opinion on this issue. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=298262.msg4215280#msg4215280 Here her!!!! (stated by kobojunkie at #17 on: July 19, 2009, 03:50 AM » ) But @Samparian, you argument does not seem to include the fact that an attack on any, and I mean any FEDERAL INSTALLATION as you choose to label it, is an attack on the Nigerian people? She will not condone an attack on Federal Installations but seems to have sympathy for a group of folks who will attack a Nigerian police station all because they want to impose a medieval age ideology on the rest of us |
Politics / Re: Ijaws, Biological Blood Brothers to Yorubas, Did Not Attack Lagos - Was it Easterners or Northerners? by OYBMEND: 8:06pm On Jul 21, 2009 |
Thanks Nairaland is not short of people with common sense suggesting that we have a Justice System people should believe in is like suggesting that we have a credible democracy just because we have scheduled elections every 4 years, an INEC and a president that wears agbada instead of military uniform. It is just ridiculous |
Politics / Re: Ijaws, Biological Blood Brothers to Yorubas, Did Not Attack Lagos - Was it Easterners or Northerners? by OYBMEND: 1:40am On Jul 20, 2009 |
unfortunatly the fact that you are columbus ohio makes everything you say hollow if Nigeria works you have no business being there comeback and enjoy your all rosy Nigeria this is hypocrisy and insensitivity of the highest order I am one of those who believe that Aondoakaa is powerful? not sure how to even react to that sillyness, . . . . .another proof of ignorance |
Politics / Re: Ijaws, Biological Blood Brothers to Yorubas, Did Not Attack Lagos - Was it Easterners or Northerners? by OYBMEND: 1:17am On Jul 20, 2009 |
this is why agree with those who call this girl a tribalist kobo is getting excersized because atlas cove jetty was bombed in lagos and probably 3 people died and she proudly cares less about those who die everyday in naija delta shame on you |
Politics / Re: Ijaws, Biological Blood Brothers to Yorubas, Did Not Attack Lagos - Was it Easterners or Northerners? by OYBMEND: 1:13am On Jul 20, 2009 |
Kobojunkie: the reason columbus ohio is helpful is you can not lecture on what you have no clue about. asking people already making an effort to fight for their right in the way you deem fit. Talking about justice system, who do you know as Nigeria's Attorney General, what do you know about him, and how would you compare him to the US Attorney general in terms of protecting the rights of ordinary people. what do you know about Nigerian courts and how judges come to conclusion on cases. How do you reconcile James Ibori's case being transfered to Delta where his offence was supposedly committed and refusal to transfer Henry Okah's untill the Presidency decided to set him free. In the light of all this what do you understand by a justice system being in place? For your information what makes a justice system is not just having written documents, and people who dress in robes and white gears its a little more than that. Stop sitting behind your computer in columbus ohio and spewing rubbish, come back to Nigeria and experience issues first hand. Most times you make fool of yourself and expose how shallow your understanding of Nigeria is when you type. You simply have no clue. |
Politics / Re: Ijaws, Biological Blood Brothers to Yorubas, Did Not Attack Lagos - Was it Easterners or Northerners? by OYBMEND: 12:58am On Jul 20, 2009 |
please elaborate what you mean by "the strength of the justice system is the strenth of the people" The last time I checked the headquaters of |Nigeria's freedom fighting is not in columbus ohio how does a man fight for his rights when those who are doing just that u just branded terrorists? Ken Sarowiwa went to court and believed in civility, what did he achieve. The Nigerian state does not understand the essence of civility. So mend are intimidating the Nigerian government? go look for some american forum and chat over there. You have no business with Nigerian issues. You simply have no clue, you dont need to go through the torture of even commenting here. |
Politics / Re: Ijaws, Biological Blood Brothers to Yorubas, Did Not Attack Lagos - Was it Easterners or Northerners? by OYBMEND: 12:36am On Jul 20, 2009 |
kobojunkie is so out of touch there is no justice system in Nigeria if there was, people who have oil drilled from their backyard will not be living in abject poverty you are talking about any necessary force because people where killed in lagos. people have been killed cos of oil in the naija delta in the last 50 years, and our government is complicit. the nigerian government have no moral right to attack anyone cos they have stolen more oil and impoverished the people of Naija Delta even more. My dictionary defines terrorism as the use of intimidation to get others to accept your views, going by that definition surely the intimidated can not be the terrorist. |
Politics / Re: Did President Yar'adua Take His Cold War Against The East To International Stage by OYBMEND: 10:41pm On Jul 19, 2009 |
This is what I keep saying Uwazurike should have towed the line of Kosovo by taking Nigeria to ICJ and demanding a referendum for the easterners to determine their future That will be more effective than printing currencies and passports Even we in the South-South are not so keen on one naija anymore like we used to So the Ijaw may break away as a different nation when the East breaks away to form their own Nation. |
Politics / Re: Call For Establishment Of Nigerian Marine Force by OYBMEND: 5:23pm On Jul 16, 2009 |
Jairzinho: If I read the topic right it was never about the existence of the current army. It is starting a new Military establishment when we have been unable to fund the existing ones. If your call for Marine Corps is not because of MEND why are u asking for a new military establishment? and why cant we improve the existing ones? After all we have gracefully handed Bakasi free of charge to Cameroun, so why are we forming Armys here and there? What use are they in 21st Century? are we planning to attack anyone? the only inter-country dispute we have is Bakassi and we chikened out. Why new waste of money forming a new military establishment? I have said it before, our National Security challenges include Poverty, no electricity, no schools, no roads, no hospitals etc. If your establishmment of marine corps will resolves any of these issues, I will join you to encourage President Yar'adua to dump his elusive 7 point agenda and adopt your idea. I also find it amazing that you dont consider these issues ravaging Nigeria as a National Security issue, you want to dismiss them as a social issue in a derogatory form. These issues are both social and National security issues. |
Politics / Re: Call For Establishment Of Nigerian Marine Force by OYBMEND: 2:21am On Jul 16, 2009 |
The greatest threat to national security we have include Hunger, Bad roads, no electricity, no hospitals, no schools wanna shed any light on how a Marine Corps solves any of those? |

MEND should blow up a car close to Abuja National Stadium and warn FIFA to take their world cup to another country. A country where injustice REINS has no business hosting the world cup. |
Politics / Re: Nigeria Changes Defence Minister After Mend Attacked Lagos by OYBMEND: 9:31pm On Jul 15, 2009 |
story story story!!!!!! You can put lipstick on a pig, its still a pig If they like let them announce Henry Okah as defence minister, it wont make any difference the only solution is 100% resource control by each geopolitical zone, every should control their own resources PERIOD!!!! |
Politics / Re: "Igbos Are Not Our Enemies, We Need Their Number" – Asari Dokubo by OYBMEND: 8:58pm On Jul 15, 2009 |
If there is a vote for 100% resource control for South-South by the Senate, Igbo Senators will vote for that 100% If there is a vote in the House of Rep, Igbo Representatives will vote for that 100% If there is a referendum, we can trust the Igbos to give us a block vote on resource control. I learnt the same thing too as Asari to dislike the Igbos, but recent truths and facts show that the Igbos were actually not the problem. Those afraid of resource control and devolution are the problem and have always been. The previous lies and propaganda simply could not last forever, I thank God the truth is begining to come out. We are here to bear withness this time |

Politics / Re: MEND Attacks Lagos by OYBMEND: 1:08am On Jul 14, 2009 |
Those who wanna blame the greed of South South states should consider this The South South contributes to 98% of Nigeria's GDP But takes in 1/6 of 13 % shared amongs states. if my maths is right they in effect take in 2.17% or 0.36% per State. What is the Federal Government doing with the over 70% of GDP it controls |
Politics / Re: Revealed: Obama, Ghana & Oil by OYBMEND: 12:08am On Jul 14, 2009 |
I don't know whether this back2back is one of those who recieved $5 million to rengage in Aso Rock propaganda on the internet But this is what I know, whoever is behind that name is no female You can believe what you like but Ghana's oil reserve is too small to fundamentally shift Obama policy in Africa. Whats the comparison between Ghana's oil and America's oil reserve in Alaska alone, let alone America's oil interest in Saudi, Iraq, Nigeria, Venezuela. Ghana has not even found that much oil to affect West Africa policies let alone World Affairs towards Africa. Obama's policy on the long term is to source alternative energy, effectively before US will finish all the oil in every other part of the world for Ghana's oil to mean much most of the world cars will be electric, most of the world's energy will be Solar and Nuclear, and probably the UN would have agreed ambitious low carbon targets that will make burning of fossil fuels very unattractive. By the way if FOX is where you want to read about Obama policies, I think you are at the wrong place, you can only be missinformed |
Politics / Re: Why Didn't Obama Apologise To Africa? by OYBMEND: 11:55pm On Jul 13, 2009 |
And talking about appologies I think folks still take what Obama says on surface value. What Obama does is state the obvious which often is already in the public domain. Its more of a 21st century approach to dealing with issues than an appology. It creates a feel good mentality which creates the impression that the current President is being extra-ordinarily honest when structural he has not acted so dramatically different from his predecessors. Example. The issue of torture: he released CIA memos stating their were policies for waterboarding and folks started jumping transparency. But the issue is that these memos had already been declassified as his administration had determined that it was no longer Government policy. And the policy now had become public knowledge anyway. But when it came to releasing the same videos which showed terror suspects were actually tortured. He refused. In Iran he addresses the Nation as the Islamic Republic of Iran, invites its diplomats to come share hotdog at US embassies on arround the world on July 4 (before it was rescinded). While structurally his Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner is busy trying to get more economic sanctions against Iran, he Obama is lobbying Russia seriously in other to have Russia and US on the same page against Iran in the event that he may want to use the UN Security council against Iran. If anybody want to refuse to look at these real issues and prefer to feel good that Obama acknoledged the 1959 overthrow of Musadek and the role of the CIA thats up to them. But to call the restatement of a public fact an appology is political naivette in my view. |
Politics / Re: Why Didn't Obama Apologise To Africa? by OYBMEND: 11:33pm On Jul 13, 2009 |
back2back: What you dont seem to get is that America got Independence from the British just like Nigeria did. So why is America appoligising for colonialism? Go read a bit of History. If its Slavery you are talking about about Africans in Africa are as Guilty as the European Slave Owners. (Only decendants of slaves deserve an appology). If its the failure of Africa, our leaders are more guilty compared to the west because its the responsibility of every Nation to protect her people from exploitation, if a country chooses not to do that I doubt its makes sense to blame those who pounce on the opportunity. As we speak majority of Africans are funding European Universities through paying high fees while our educational system is in ruins. WHO WILL APPOLOGISE FOR THAT? |

Politics / Re: Why Didn't Obama Apologise To Africa? by OYBMEND: 8:22am On Jul 13, 2009 |
back2back: This is what I keep saying about Nigerians You want an appology to the wrongs done to Africans centuries ago when you are busy hoping for the piping out of the Niger-Deltans over their struggle for resource control. One value for world issues, a totally different one for Nigerian issues. these MEND are coward. That is your hope for a group of folks questioning how oil is drilled in their backyard while they live in abject poverty. |
Politics / Re: MEND Attacks Lagos by OYBMEND: 8:14am On Jul 13, 2009 |
a 21st century Nigerian misses Abacha even if Abacha is alive he can't hang a Saro Wiwa in a democracy he will be tried in a court of law in which Saro Wiwa would have won. Nigerians are as dishonest as the contraption called Nigeria let everybody control their own resources. MEND should hit Lagos and Abuja more, They should have no known bases and attack the Nation facilities in a Gurrila like fashion. No army has any right to attack any Ijaw community cos of MEND. In fact they should acquire are loose Nuclear bomb, they dont even need the very expensive Misile to launch it. With those everyone will come to the negotiation table. |
Politics / Re: MEND Attacks Lagos by OYBMEND: 7:57am On Jul 13, 2009 |
Okah's release and granting amnesty to people fighting for freedom is no substitute for Justice. MEND has no defined boundaries in Naija, there is no moral right bombing any Ijaw communities because MEND attacked Lagos. Each geopolitical zone should control their own resources 100%. The North is being short-sighted, NUCLEAR energy is the future and Nigeria's Uranium depositis are mostly in the North. Just let Niger-Delta / South-South have 100% resource control, everyother zones has enough resources to be sufficient and compete. |
Politics / Re: Buhari To Float New Party by OYBMEND: 8:54pm On Jul 11, 2009 |
I BELIEVE THEIR IS A SENSE OF ARROGANCE AND SELFISHNESS IF A MAN THINKS THE ONLY WAY A NATION CAN BE DELIVERED IS IF HE IS ELECTED PRESIDENT. BUHARI CAN BE OF HELP TO REBUILDING NIGERIA WITHOUT BEING PRESIDENT HIMSELF, IF HE THINKS OTHERWISE THEN HE IS A VERY DISHONEST MAN WHO SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. IN FACT IN A SERIOUS SOCIETY HE SHOULD BE DOING GOOD TO SOCIETY AND SPEAKING OUT / SUPPORTING DEMOCRATIC VALUES WHEREVER IN THE HOPE THAT HE WILL BE FORGIVEN BY NIGERIANS, HE SHOULD NOT BE SEEKING THE HIGHEST OFFICE IN THE LAND. HE IS A COUPIST WHO OBSTRUCTED DEMOCRACY. |
