The list is 100% correct. 99.9% of those in that list, including me, made it to that list because we did our research abroad. I couldn't conduct my research in my university because we had and still have no research facilities. It's unfortunate!!!

Realistically, 470. Draw hasn't held in a month. Let's keep praying it holds first. We really need a general draw to keep believing as we don't want a repeat of last year's trend as @Igethope earlier pointed out.

It should be lower than 470. Recall that PNP only and CEC only draws were held, thus removing some CRS score heavy weights from the pool.

Please, when using Gift deed, the money must not be in a fixed deposit right? GTBank said their fixed deposit is 0% interest at the moment. Am thinking of just printing one month statement and ditch the fixed deposit stuff.

Actually, most jobs are given on probationary basis, and confirmed after a year or 2. Do you mean that the years spent in probation do not count? Or are you referring to the potential conflicting start dates for both applications?

I understand your concern, but I don't think it's necessary. "Amended" doesn't show you committed a crime. It just means something was changed. If anything, because of the information sharing between countries, they can ask your country of education the reason for the amendment. (Which I still think is far-fetched)

I am thinking of adding a LOE to my application, and here's the reason:

I did a 3 years program abroad, but I finished in 2years + 6months. Since I was ready to return to the country, I sent my passport to the immigration dept to shorten my visa. So, the official expiration date was reviewed.

So, the 3rd year visa page has a stamp tagged "Amended", and on the reverse side of that page, the comment says "the validity of student pass appears on page 5 has been terminated to 29/07/2019. Note: that was the date I left.

So, is the LOE necessary to explain that the amendment was not because I did anything wrong?

The correct thing is that you should type your first name and middle name in the box for first name. Click on the question mark next to the first name and see IRCC's recommendations.

I used it las night and it worked. It didnt work initially because I was short of a few dollars, based on the explanation provided by their support team (on Twitter). I added a few extra dollars and viola!

I'll recommend CBT provided you have good computer skills and can type fast. You get results in 3-5 days compared to 13 days for paper based test.

With paper based test, you loose the flexibility and luxury of copy and paste, deleting errors real quick while typing in the writing module of the test, etc.

So it depends on your computer skills.

Did he get back to them with the completed form and payment receipt?
Did he receive an email stating that his application has been received and now being processed?
If yes, when did he receive that email? Is it up to 28 days?

Nevertheless I summoned courage and reluctantly took the IELTs exam in October and also had my degree verified. My IELTS result was released on October 4th which got me a score of 473. However , I needed the TRF number to enter the pool (British council) which did not come till October 12th. I picked it up from the courier handling unit of my workplace on the 15th...

Quite inspiring. For British Council, is the TRF number displayed along with the results online different from the TRF number in the hard copy that is posted to us?
