n, it is really more than just not seeing a good infrastructure.

It is the stories in the news of happenings such as the Aluu four, you then discover that in a place like Nigeria an accusation can cause you to lose your life by random strangers.

It is when you start to read up on Nigerian news sites and read editorials about how it is ok to treat your kitchen help like a slave and not to be afraid to give a good "slap " when needed !!! What ??


It is finding out that there is a culture in Nigeria that seems somewhat primitive and backwards.

buy garbage bags, wash all clothing in hot water and put them in the bags tying the bag up so bugs cannot reinfect.

if you are able to steam mop the mattress ( killing any live bugs ) you must then put a plastic mattress cover on .

You definately must go to a qualified vetrinarian and purchase the spray that kills larvae....( there are lots of different sprays , but only one that kills the eggs )

dont give up..you can get rid of them !

Go to a vet who sells different types of flee sprays.

There is only one type which will kill the eggs of flees as well as other types of insects.

This is called Vet kem, siphotrol.

Many people here in Canada have found that it kills bedbugs and larvae.


The other advice is to purchase one of the steam mops , you can use them on the mattress and all over the room..( FLOORS, WALLS )

If you watch some of the videos of this killing you will see a well-dressed man .
He comes into the crowd ( who are all yelling at the boys on the ground ) and shakes hands with someone else as if some sort of deal or transaction is taking place.
It looks quite strange and I wonder if this man is actually the Head guy who ordered the crowd to take care of it ?

I hope the court has this video which shows it.

I found Nairaland after reading the horrible news of the Aluu Four.

I live in Canada and when I come home from work I go on the net to read all the news from the west as well as other countries.
I found the story on a BBC site and then I started researching other sites as I found it hard to believe that something like this could happen in this day and age.

I check Nairaland as well as other Nigerian news sources to read about the culture and try to get a better understanding of how others live. ( since i heard the story )

I am still waiting to see when the court case starts regarding the Aluu Four and I hoping that justice will be done
