Hello All, Please i need Advice. I hope to go to the US to have my baby, i am using an agency(they will be in charge of everything, accomodation, hospital and all) They applied for an emergency date but I wasn't told on time. When i asked for update, i was told to check my mail, i checked and saw approval for an emergency date but it was 3 days after, so the agency re applied for an emergency date for me but this time around i was denied. Education / Re: Pictures of University Of Ghana Beautiful Hostels by pduke: 12:19am On Aug 14, 2015
this pic is meant for the local champions that believe schools in Ghana are not quality. Quality speaks for its self. Am not saying this is all that. But it's standard. And conducive. And to think that it's a government school... smiley [/quote

If Nigerians pay as much as they pay in their schools and same for hostel fees maybe our hostels wnt be so crappy here. I schooled in unilorin and trust me the hostels are not crappy looking.

Fedding pupils is an irrelevant project to u. SMH!

who knows d state u r from and d condition of ur state...

Just saw this... yes its an irrelevant project when there are no chalks to even teach the students. The chairs and tables are nt enough in the classes. No toilets in schools, no light (electricity) in school,no socket for teachers to plug phones,no fans in d staff room. No laboratories, some secondary schools like where i served has just 2 blocks. No chairs for teachers to sit in the staff rooms. Some schools can't even boast of bell. I can continue cos the lists goes on and on. U see there are lots of projects he could have embarked on to improve the standard of aosun Education. Their standard is wack. So the food shit is just not relevant cos when they come to school and eat and learn nuffin at d end of d day. What's d point? Was the school built for feeding or for the kids to learn?

Idiotz do not understand that the purpose of government and governance is to serve the people. The payment of salary is simply a consequence of that.
In other words, civil servants and other public are there to serve the people.
I am not surprised that aregbesola is very popular. Only those on ground will understand.
There may be 60 teachers in a school out of which maybe 50 are not happy because of delayed payments.
However, in that same school, there are 1000 happy parents because their kids are being fed a good meal everyday .

Talkinf thrash as if you live in Osun state. I served in a school there and the meal is nuffin compared to good. and haven't you heard they are planning on scrapping the project becos they cannot go on with it. y embark on irrelevant projects in the first place just to embezzle money. If I have so much time I will say a lot abt d useless aregbesola.

Politics / Re: Workers' Salaries: States And Number Of Months They Owe - Vanguard (snapshot) by pduke: 11:20pm On Jun 15, 2015
adeaks:
Going by the media hoopla, one would think Osun state would be at the top of the list. Yet there are states owing far more than Osun but nobody seems to care about them. If this is true it means even Ogun state that is near Osun is owing 8 months but you hardly hear anything about it. IMO is owing a whole 11 months and no one is bothered. It just shows that there is most likely something else behind the media's relentless fixation on Osun. undecided

Osun is owing all civil servants. Across board. Imo is owing just pry school teachers. Thats why d hype is more on osun.
Family / Re: Men Sleeping With Their House Maids...who's To Blame? by pduke: 11:14pm On Jun 15, 2015
I can clearly see you are immature with the way you are talking. I rarely comment on nairaland bt u just vexed me this nyt. So a woman with 3 kids and also working doesnt deserve a helping hand? she wakes up in the morn get the kids ready for school, give the hubby food and also drop kids off in school. Closes like 5pm daily. will be in traffic for like minimum 1hr could be more at times. On getting home prepares food and takia of the kids also. Will it be too much to have someone to help her look over the kids when dey get back from school while she is still at work, feed and changr their clothes. Give them lunch, help her tidy the house and keep the kids company and probably assist her tired ass when she gets back from work. Even most of our parents didnt have maids bt they had 1 aunt or uncle or niece living with them while we were growing up. Its all in a bid to ease the stress.

---- Before you marry a man, I expect you to know the kind of person he is. If you know him to be a flirt, why bring in a housemaid that's matured ? So therefore I blv you bring in trouble by yourself because if he is doing it outside, it's better than fvcking your house girl in your matrimonial home/bed. shame on you tongue

---- You can't give me excuse why you should need a house help if you are not lazy. some ladies can't wash their cloths not to talk of their husband's own . Since you think housemaid will help you reduce your stress, she will also help you reduce the rounds of sex you will be having with your husband. probably 60/40
Romance / Re: 5 Nonsense Most Guys Have Been Deceived To Believe by pduke: 7:23pm On May 25, 2015
Rapmoney:
I know majority of Nigerians too lazy to read but it pays to most times cheesy

Below are some common fallacies most Nigerian guys have been pressured and deceived over the years to believe cool. You might hold a different opinion from these but emerging 'trends' and 'happenstances' in our society clearly point to the fact that these common beliefs no longer hold weight and logic and therefore, may be seen as nonsense!

1) #You can only find someone who truly loves you when you are still struggling#: Bullcrap! Nonsense! So we were told while we were younger! Now, we know better cheesy. It is as good as saying 'only poor men find real love'. Imagine that!!! It means 2Face Idibia must have married a bad wife; a woman who doesn't have real love for him because he met her after he attained fame! How fallacious this sounds! Whether you like it or not, there are classes in our society and one should strive to attain the class he feels he wants his would-be wife to come from wink. I just feel people who still hold this opinion are suffering from a psychology that promotes inferiority complex! Finding a good wife or a woman that truly loves you has nothing to do with struggling! If you are comfortable and finds a woman that is as comfortable as you and in your class, would you say she's after your wealth?

2) #Even if there's no money, when we give birth, children will bring blessings#: Don't allow anyone deceive you, folks. Yeah, blessings come but do not put the life of somebody's daughter at risk and endangering the lives of the tiny legs you would produce because you don't have enough to cater for them!!! Even Jesus Christ, in the Bible(the synoptic gospels), admonished Christians to calculate the cost of something before embarking on it, else the enemies mock the person that he couldn't maintain what he started wink (call me Pastor Rapmoney grin) Truth be told, it would take the grace of God to maintain peace and ensure fidelity in a home that lacks money in these modern times!

3) #Beautiful women have bad attitude#: We can as well say 'ugly women have nice attitude No one is perfect! What you might admire in someone could be different from what the next man would admire in them. Who says a woman cannot be beautiful within and in the outside? It doesn't mean you should place all your bets on big buttocks, pointed boobs and pretty face but I tell you today, marrying a woman who is very presentable doesn't make you a fool or criminal! I love beautiful women cheesy

4)#A man should set a woman up financially#: Another bunkum!!! Marriage involves two people who are emotionally, psychologically, spiritually and financially mature! I strongly believe that ladies should as well be financially ready before they get married. It is not just a man's thing. If he goes out to win the bread, you as the woman, should also go out to win the akara. You would attract more respect by such from the man. Men hardly misbehave when they are aware that their wife is financially strong too cool. It is better to marry a woman that has acquired her degree or into one profession, business, trade or occupation than to get married to a woman who does nothing, sits and folds her hands, waiting for a man to come and marry her in order to take away her burden! Are you getting married to a human being or a burden?

5) #Money is not all; what matters is love#: This is what most girls use to deceive guys on social media, including Nairaland. I always say it that it is only on NL and other social media that girls are quick to say this trash! Most girls can't practise it in real life. They only say this to create what I call 'social media good face' cool. Same girl that says this online will operate in the opposite offline. Don't let them fool ya fellas!!! cheesy. Don't believe this! If you believe this, then you will surely believe anything. It existed in the past...not now. The society has transformed to something else and it is either you follow up or get left behind; simple truth! Make good money and you won't even have time to listen to such trash!!!

A word is enough for the wise!

Good day folks!

U are wrong abt 2face and his wife. She didnt meet him when he attained fame. They have been togeda long before plantashun boys days sef

Odunayo Eweniyi really! We went to pry school together. Go girl! Make money joooor. Am sure u guys aren't forcing anybody to use your platform.

pumpingmachine:
In response to a thread on Nairaland referring to PushCV’s elite programme as a scheme, the startup as explained why it is asking users to pay to have their CVs rewritten by the company.

In an exclusive interview with Innovation Village, Odunayo Eweniyi, Co-Founder of PushCV, said the company is charging its users that are making use of its premium career services.

She said: “PushCV has 3 parties involved: the labor market, employers and PushCV itself. We provide value to job seekers by building them up and preparing them for employment. We charge them for career services. Employers trust PushCV to find the best fit for their vacancies from our pool of qualified and fully tested candidates.”

According to her, providing these services is the way the company is generating revenues.

She said: “We, as a company, make money from providing these services to job seekers. They are never charged for placement. What we charge for are the premium career services that we provide e,g CV rewriting and creation as well as taking some courses on our learning centre.

“Companies are charged for the provision of these candidates quickly and efficiently.

“In conclusion, we are a business. We make money from building employability; and all of our services are optional. Most of our revenue is from the companies that request for theses premium candidates.”

Romance / Re: My Boyfriend's Father Is Flirting With Me. by pduke: 11:38pm On Mar 17, 2015
Well, I have had same experience. Was once in your shoes. Some old men are just shameless trust me. It actually might have nothing to do with the way you are dressed or whatever.
I was dating this man's son for 4yrs+, he is my father's friend and my parents were comfortable sending me ereands to his office. At first I didnt pay attentio to it but later on, I felt it was best to let go of the whole relationship cos trust me if your supposed father inlaw cannot respect you at this early stage, he will never have any respect for you. If he has his eyes on you already, if he is as shameless as you have painted him to be, he can do and undo ooo.
I thank God am happily married now. I let go of the relationship and I got someone better from a more reputable family.
I do not thing your boyfriend will embarrass hos dad just be cos of you! So open ur brains

EroticAngelina:
I don't know what to do... should I tell my boyfriend and destroy the relationship he and his father have or keep quiet and continue putting up with this shameful thing??!?
Its disgusting considering I'm like 40years younger that this old man!! doesn't he have an atom of respect? I'm his son's girlfriend for Pete's sake! embarassed

I've tried talking to him(the father) but I always get scared and end up saying something else.. maybe I misinterpreted his actions.... but if a guy hugs u tight, touches ur asss, looks at u lustfully, makes nasty dirty comments about u... what wud u think of that person?
I'm not exaggerating! I just want this to end.
