A young Nigerian named Ekomobong Finbarr happens to manufacture a tricycle (Keke) which is powered with Solar.

According to his facebook profile, he Studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Federal University of Technology Owerri.

His brother named Aniekeme Finbarr Ukpong took to his facabeok to share some photos of the solar powered tricycle saying:

I am very proud of my younger brother, Ekomobong Finbarr. Over the past few weeks, he has painstakingly produced and defended this solar powered tricycle (Keke) as his first degree project in partial fulfillment for the award of a degree in Electrical Engineering, Federal University of Technology, (FUTO), Owerri. No engine, just battery and the solar system and can go 11km without blinking.
His lecturers were completely stunned that he could pull this through. His Head of Department, Mr. Damian Dike with his colleague Dr. Mrs. Achumba enjoyed the first cruise of the Keke.

Google just made a policy change that is bound to make web publishers happy — they often don’t make announcements about product and policy changes and users are left to their own devices to eventually figure it out.

This is the reason why there are hundreds of web publications dedicated to documenting changes and updates to Google search and ad products. Most of these publications depend on lucky breaks — accidental discoveries, word sent in by insiders, and tips by users

Advertising and other paid promotional material added to your pages should not exceed your content.
Furthermore, the content you provide should add value and be the focal point for users visiting your page.
For this reason, we may limit or disable ad serving on pages with little to no value and/or excessive advertising until changes are made. Examples of unacceptable pages include but are not limited to:

Mirroring, framing, scraping or rewriting of content from other sources without adding value;
Pages with more advertising than publisher-provided content;
Automatically generated content without manual review or curation;
Hosted ad pages or pages without content;
Pages that don’t follow our Webmaster Quality Guidelines.

Summary of Policy Changes

You can now place more than 3 ad units on a web page.
You can now place more than one large (> 300×600) ad unit on a web page.
Policies still only allows one 320×100 ad unit above the fold on mobile. Below the fold, however, there is no limit now.



What This Means for You
Generally speaking, this is a relaxation of policies. If you’ve ever used AdX, you’d know that one of the selling points for its use tends to be about how you can place more than 3 ad units on a page — well, now you can do with AdSense as well.
The new policy seems to be more about subjective evaluation of content dubbed “valuable inventory” and its usefulness to users instead of a having rigid set of rules to abide by.
It’s not hard to speculate why Google would make such a move — publishers have been a hard enough time as it is dealing with ad blockers and falling revenues, and these particular set of policies were at the top of the list of reasons that led to account suspensions.


Our Advice
Just because there are no limits on ad placements now does not mean you should go crazy about it and litter your page with ads.
First, that would in principle violate the “valuable inventory” policy, so you need to use your good judgement.

Second, the most effective way to improve ad revenue still remains experimenting with ad layouts and A/B testing ad units instead of blindly adding more units.

History Of MMM
MMM was established in 1989 by Sergei Mavrodi, his brother Vyacheslav Mavrodi, and Olga Melnikova. The name of the company was taken from the first letters of the three founders' surnames.
Initially, the company imported computers and office equipment. In January 1992, tax police accused MMM of tax evasion, leading to the collapse of MMM-bank, and causing the company to have difficulty obtaining financing to support its operations.

Faced with difficulties in funding its foreign trade, the company switched to the financial sector. It offered American stocks to Russian investors, but met with little success. Later, MMM-Invest was created for the purpose of collecting vouchers during privatisation. This effort was similarly unsuccessful.

MMM created its successful Ponzi scheme in 1994. The company started attracting money from private investors, promising annual returns of up to one thousand percent. It is unclear whether a Ponzi scheme was Mavrodi's initial intention, inasmuch as such extravagant returns might have been possible during the Russian hyperinflation in such commerce as import-export.

MMM grew rapidly. In February 1994, the company reported dividends of 1,000%, and started an aggressive TV ad campaign. Since the shares were not quoted on any stock exchange and the company itself determined the share price, it maintained a steady price growth of thousands of percent annually, leading the public to believe its shares were a safe and profitable investment.

An important factor in the scheme's success was word of mouth, but most of the company's success came from its extremely aggressive ad campaign, which appealed to the general public by using "ordinary" characters that viewers could identify with. The most famous of them, a "folk hero" of early 1994, was Lyonya Golubkov. Another notable marketing effort was a giveaway of free Metro trips to all Moscow citizens on a particular day. MMM also was one of the first well-known companies in Russia with a logotype and slogans ("Flying from shadow to the light" and others).

At its peak the company was taking in more than 100 billion rubles (about 50 million USD) each day from the sale of its shares to the public. Thus, the cashflow turnover at the MMM central office in Moscow was so high that it could not be estimated. The management started to count money in roomfuls (1 roomful of money, 2 roomfuls of money, etc.).

Regular publication in the media of the rising MMM share price led President Boris Yeltsin to issue a decree in June 1994 prohibiting financial institutions from publicising their expected income.

The success of MMM in attracting investors led to the creation of other similar companies, including Tibet, Chara, Khoper-Invest, Selenga, Telemarket, and Germes. All of these companies were characterised by aggressive television advertising and extremely high promised rates of return. One company promised annual returns of 30,000%.

On July 22, 1994, the police closed the offices of MMM for tax evasion. For a few days the company attempted to continue the scheme, but soon ceased operations. At that point, Invest-Consulting, one of the company's subsidiaries, owed more than 50 billion rubles in taxes (USD 26 million), and MMM itself owed between 100 billion and 3 trillion rubles to the investors (from USD 50 million to USD 1.5 billion). In the aftermath at least 50 investors, having lost all of their money, committed suicide.

Several organisations of "deceived investors" made efforts to recover their lost investments, but Sergei Mavrodi manipulated their indignation and directed it at the government. In August 1994 Mavrodi was arrested for tax evasion. However, he was soon elected to the Russian State Duma, with the support of the "deceived investors". He argued that the government, not MMM, was responsible for people losing their money, and promised to initiate a pay-back program. The amount ultimately paid back was minuscule compared to the amount owed.

In October 1995, the Duma cancelled Mavrodi's right to immunity as a deputy. In 1996, he tried to run for Russia's presidency, but most of the signatures he received were rejected. MMM declared bankruptcy on September 22, 1997.

While it was believed that Sergei Mavrodi left Russia and moved to the United States, it is possible that he stayed in Moscow, using his money to change apartments regularly and employ a group of former special agents. With the help of a distant relative he started Stock Generation Ltd., another pyramid scheme based around trading non-existent companies' stocks in a form of the "stock exchange game" on the company's site, stockgeneration.com. Despite a bold-letter warning on the main page that the site was not a real stock exchange, between 20,000 and 275,000 people, according to various estimates, fell for the promised 200% returns and lost their money.

According to U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, losses of victims were at least USD 5.5 million.

Mavrodi was found and arrested in 2003. While in custody, Mavrodi was given until January 31, 2006 to read the documents in his fraud case against him (The criminal case consisted of 650 volumes, each 250-270 pages long).

At the end of April 2007, Mavrodi was convicted of fraud, and given a sentence of four and a half years. Since he had already spent over four years in custody, he was released less than a month later, on May 22, 2007.

He later went on to creating yet another pyramid scheme called MMM-2011.

The MMM scandal led to increased regulation of the Russian stock market, but the legacy of the fraud led many to become extremely suspicious of any joint stock companies.

In 2015 MMM began operating in South Africa with the same business model as MMM-2011, claiming a "30% per month" return through a "social financial network".

The group was identified as a possible pyramid scheme by the National Consumer Commission and accounts of clients were later frozen by Capitec Bank.

In response to mounting criticism and official investigations by state authorities in 2016 supporters of the South African MMM scheme staged a protest march in Johannesburg.

So this is how it happened,
Just 30mins ago I was coming from my bro place LordEmma Jubilee on a one on one class.. I got stopped by SARS, he asked me to parked... my heart got... ߘ㠓ha but no need... So I parked. He asked me to open my boot and come down, I did. He saw my goods I sells ( # Migwo products) and my laptop..
So he asked what re those female things doing in my boot including human hair, gowns, handbags, etc I told him they are things I sell. He ask me to bring out my laptop.. I did. Collected all my phones he saw everything was Apple Made including my laptop..
I know say e mind don conclude say "Na dem be this" (yahoo boys) ߘ He asked me to unlock my passworded mobiles " Uhmm I told him I can't that it's my privacy that he doesn't have a single right to glance through my privacy.. Uhmm trust them e don dey won rank leading to another I don't know..
So to protect my self... I quietly unlock all my phones including my laptop.. You could imagine the guy start to read my chats he read my chats with my bra Nosagie Nosa-Ero on whatsapp.. Read everything I dey shout for am say he don't need to read my chats.. Uhmm... Ok o... Read enter Oscar Jay my senior bra still enta Lordemma own... Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu has directed all tertiary institutions that have conducted post–UTME examination to immediately refund money taken from candidates.

The minister has also declared that post-UTME examinations already taken are null and void; threatening that any institution caught still conducting the examination under any guise would be sanctioned.

The minister made this position known yesterday, in a press statement issued by Deputy Director Press and Public Relations, Ben Bem Goong. The strong-worded statement reiterated the Ministry’s position that post-UTME examinations have been cancelled with immediate effect and no institution should conduct such examinations. The minister warned that once the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has certified a candidate worthy of admission into any of the tertiary institutions, that candidate must be deemed fit by the institution

According to the statement, students who have already been offered admission by JAMB may be screened by the institutions but this must not involve the conduct of any other entry examination. The candidates can be screened by verifying their certificates but not through the conduct of examinations.

The minister stated that it is unnecessary to subject students to further examinations when they have been offered examinations by JAMB since they will still have to go through between eight or 12-semester examinations throughout their four to six years study in the institutions.

The minister, therefore, directed the National Universities Commission (NUC) and appropriate departments in the Ministry to communicate the directive to relevant agencies and institutions to ensure strict compliance.

“Those who have already advertised for the conduct of the Post-UTME under any guise should stop the exercise immediately as any university caught conducting Post-UTMNE will face appropriate sanctions. If any tertiary Institution has already conducted Post-UTME, such an exercise stands annulled and money taken from such candidates must be refunded immediately”, the Minister said.

The directive to stop the post-UTME examinations was given by the minister nearly a month ago. The minister said through the statement that it was important to emphasise the directive in order to ensure that no stakeholder is left in doubt as to government’s position on the matter.

He affirmed that the responsibility for admission into public tertiary institutions lies solely with JAMB and under no circumstance whatsoever, should anybody or institution take over that responsibility by proxy.

“The ban is with immediate effect, and under no circumstance should any institution violate the directive”.

“Any educational institution after secondary education is regarded as a tertiary institution. Therefore all tertiary institutions, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education, Universities or by whatever name it is called after secondary education must be subjected to admission through the JAMB. At the end of probationary admission by JAMB, the candidates can be cleared (screened) for final admission. For any institution with a shortfall in admission, such institution can revert to JAMB for supplementary admission”.

“Clearing in this case (screening) entails only the verification of certificates of the candidates, JAMB scores, and any other physical examination to ensure that such candidates are not cultists. After this, the candidates are qualified for matriculation. Such screening should be at no cost to the parents or students and should be done upon resumption in order to avoid unnecessary travels in search of admission”, the minister said,

For secondary school leavers who are seeking admission into the tertiary institutions, Malam Adamu said that subjecting them to too many examinations all in one year, is traumatic, exploitative and absolutely unnecessary. This is besides the cost of travelling, hotel accommodation and examination fees that parents have to incur in their bid to secure admission for their wards.
