Mamas, please let's stop behaving like sheep trying to cross the road. Once the first sheep crosses successfully, the others run across not bothering to check if any vehicle is coming. We all have different bodies. What worked for A might not work for B and might do untold things to the body. I'm not saying we shouldn't take drugs or try what a preggy mama did differently but be careful. Gather enough information here and on Google and even from your doctor (though some don't know what they're doing) before taking the drugs.

There's always one drug or the other reigning on this thread but it might not be for you. There was a time Vitex was the in thing on this thread. I wanted to behave like a sheep until I read it could mess up one's cycle. I jejely left it. I applaud the mama who read up reviews on M2tone and realized it could aggravate fibroids and decided not to take it.

I'm not calling us sheep o. It's just an illustration. We don't know what these drugs are doing to our kidneys. Better to be safe than sorry. I hope I didn't offend anyone.

Fertility blessings to us all.

In my own opinion, those mamas who want to start taking vitamin b6 during mid-cycle should start at the beginning of their cycles i.e. CD1. It is advised when taking fertility drugs that it should be taken for three months for maximum results. You can't introduce the drug into your system at that time when its supposed to already be in your system, already working towards lengthening your luteal phase. You can start with 50mg and get to 100mg after O. Sometimes I go as far as taking 200mg from CD21 but its not advisable. I do that when I feel preggy, to help curb future morning sickness in case I'm actually preggy. I've read in novels that it helps to curb morning sickness and some former TTC mamas on the preggy thread have testified to it too. It should be taken with vitamin b12 to help the body absorb the b6. The higher the dose, the higher should be the b12. It is also great for managing stress but shouldn't be taken on long term basis because it affects the nerves.

Good morning mamss. Congratulations to those who got their bfps. You will all out to bed safely in Jesus name. Amen. I will testify soon.

Mamas, please let's stop quoting long posts. Its beginning to get too much. If we are quoting for future reference, you could either like it or share it, then go to your profile, you will see posts I have liked and posts I have shared. Click on anyone and you will get the info you want. Or you could copy and paste the person's name before replying. It's not nice being away only to read back and see the pages are filled with quoted long posts.

Make una no vex. It makes the thread boring and tiring having to keep scrolling and scrolling. Thanks

DonaTee, orney, Omoyeni3601, frankdoho, Oleayo22, momoftheyear16, Loisemm, fertilewomb, prettmum and other mamas, thank you all for your encouraging words. God bless you all and grant you your heart desires. Amen. If I didn't die as a child going on admission almost every month, having surgery and even stopped breathing once but came back to life, then I believe God has a big plan for me. The pain woke me up. I'll take the pain killers and antibiotics I took last night which helped it to stop. After work today, I will go a new hospital and book for tests to be carried out again. I will start saving for the number of gynapharm tabs I have to take. Don't want to disturb hubby on this. By December 31st, 2016, pregnancy or not, I will be free from PID for life. Amen.

He was bruised for my iniquities, He was injured for my transgressions..... by His stripes, I AM HEALED!

I AM HEALED OF EVERY INFIRMITY IN MY BODY IN JESUS NAME. AMEN!!!

Mamas I want to die. let God just take my life because I don't know what I'm living for. All my life I have experienced pain and disappointments. I was sickly as a child. Even in adulthood, the same thing. I have never enjoyed hundred percent good health. It's always one issue or the other. How tired my husband must be. Will I blame him if he leaves me for another woman? Since I woke up, I have been having pain in my pelvic region. Managed to go to work and took flagyl. Now the pain is intense. The same pain I always have and PID is diagnosed. My ovulation window o. I have prayed and prayed. Now money kept for something else has to be used to treat me again. I have told God, let me stay without children, no problem but keep this pain and illnesses far from me. I'm not only trying to conceive, I have other health issues as well, breathing, eyes, leg. Only me! Yet I'm thankful but I can't take this pain anymore. Very sharp pain as if someone is using a knife to cut me. It comes and goes. Lemme die and rest. So that my husband and family can rest too. My husband can marry another woman and have kids. Lemme just die

Thanks a lot, Loisemm and DonaTee. God bless you. DonaTee I get all the signs of ovulation from day 7 to day 12. As from day 13 my body returns back to normal and down there becomes completely dry but to be on the safe side, we still bd till day 18. Sometimes till day 21. The one and only time I got pregnant which ended in miscarriage, we bd on day 11. So we always try our best to bd on that day so whenever I ovulate, the sperm is waiting there but lately we don't because of the secretions. So tired of going for tests and taking supplements. Lord have mercy

Good evening mamas and papas. Please I want to find out if anyone is going through what I've been going through for some months now, if it's normal and if it isn't, what's the problem and is there a cure?

I see my period like clockwork every month 27th or 28th day. I bleed well for three days, a little on the fourth day and it stops either on the fifth or sixth day. But for some months now, after it stops on the 5th day, it starts again on the sixth. Not enough to fill a pad but it stains my pants and makes me irritable down there. From red blood it turns to dark brown. I spot like this till sometimes day 12 before it finally stops. And with it, I can't bd during ovulation. The last time we decided to ignore it and bd, my husband and I ended up with infection. It's day 9 today and I'm still spotting.

Please is this normal? Is anyone experiencing this or has experienced it and found a cure? Is it infection? Is it hormonal imbalance again? Why these hormones go just siddon they imbalance themselves na? Please if you know the answers to these questions, please answer me because I'm just tired of everything. It's October already, 2 months more to end this year. I can't even bd during my ovulation window which is day 7 to day 12 because of the secretions. Thanks in advance.

Congratulations to all the mamas who got their bfp. We will announce ours soon. Amen

Where is Classcaptain? Chai! Wat a pity that OP doesn't appreciate the fact that Classcaptain writes with the peculiarity of the Nigerian "language", which is a mixture of pidgin english, with a touch of vernacular and Nigerian neology all rolled up in unparalleled comic. This is the problem with us: never making the most of wat we have, until one kain short Chinese man with nerd goggles and bald head comes on TV to say "do u know we study the Nigerian type of pidgin english in china"? Then the scramble to import pidgin would commence and it's ppl like the OP that wld be in the front row of such scramble.
Warapiri.
Have you read Audrey Timms' Letting Go? That story has pidgin English, hausa, Igbo even Edo language. So because you have only read the story of only one writer, don't use it to judge other writers or in this case, the op's list. Thanks

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but what people do not know about this meal is that if they skip it, it could have an adverse effect on their weight.

Akansha Jhalani, a registered Dietitian and Health Blogger at 'Beyond The Weighing Scale' , helps you decode the myths associated with breakfast, so that you enjoy the most important meal of the day in a healthy way.

Juicing your fruit: When you start your blender to juice oranges, remember that this process causes the fruit to lose most of its vitamins, minerals and fibre. Instead, replace your juice with a glass of water and a whole fruit. It will save you some extra calories.

Eating a baby size breakfast: Eating whatever you want cannot help you escape from those extra calories. It is a common myth that eating whatever you wish after a long gap of fasting will not make you gain weight. Oily parathas, waffles, leftover dinner can lead to extra calorie consumption.

Beware of breakfast treats: The tempting doughnuts and muffins can cause as much as an entire meal’s caloric consumption. When placed in front of you, take a deep breath and realise that you have set healthy lifestyle changes and politely decline.

Monitor your caffeine intake: One cup of coffee or tea could help boost your mood and metabolism, but avoid drinking multiple cups of coffee. This can cause sleep deprivation and coffee add-ons can reflect on your body in a bad way.

Unhealthy breakfast: Eat a fist full of nuts, a bowl of cereal and a whole fruit instead of chocolate pancakes, muffins and mayo sandwiches. High calorie and high fat items can cause a sugar spike and recurring spikes could cause health issues.

Thinking breakfast is not important: Even if you feel full from the previous day’s dinner or are in a rush, make sure you eat a quick breakfast. Skipping breakfast slows down our metabolism and makes us feel lethargic. A slice of whole-wheat toast, a fruit or a fist full of sprouts can do the trick.

Avoid breakfast buffets: Buffets and large breakfast spreads could make you eat more than you need. Do not stuff yourself silly by opting for sugar coated cereals, doughnuts and fruit cocktails. Instead, choose egg preparations, leaner meats, oats, wheat flakes and milk.

Gorging on food early in the morning: Have a glass of luke warm water, first thing in the morning. It helps to keep you hydrated, aids digestion, cures gastric ailments and gives you a feeling of fullness.

Not eating a healthy breakfast: Try and eat a healthy breakfast like green tea with a lemon wedge, oats with half a banana/ an egg preparation with an orange and whole wheat toast.

Fvine, thanks a lot. You really motivated me to lose weight. I have lost 5kg being on a high protein and low carbohydrate diet. I used to weigh 72kg but I'm now 67kg. My target is 60kg but hubby is complaining. He likes me with body because he is slim. So I have conceded. Will lose 2kg more and maintain 65kg.

My meals are usually

*beans with small palm oil and small garri,

*moimoi with small groundnut oil and garri,

*akara and small pap,

*beans and sweet potato porridge

*fried sweet potatoes and fried egg (when I get tired of beans),

*small jollof rice with fish (when the thought of beans and moimoi makes me feel like throwing up),

*fish peppersoup or barbequed fish.

*Lipton tea and lime (when not ttc) in the mornings before eating anything (I noticed it helped to curb my appetite for awhile). Now that I'm back to ATC, will change lime to lemon. And I avoided eating after 6pm.

*Did portion control by dishing meals in a small plastic bowl. All those breakable plates tempt you to add more food.

*Skipped 200 jumps in the morning and another 200 in the evening with mild aerobics (not everyday though. Sometimes missed either morning or evening) Took long walks whenever I had the chance.

*Lastly, I prayed to God for help, determination and fruitful efforts.

*Ah ha, before I forget. Sundays were my cheat days. You've got to have cheat days to help the cravings. Ate bread, biscuits, indomie and took soft drinks on such days but didn't overdo it though.

*It was tasking but it made me feel very light on my feet.

*Will go the fruits and veggie way this time around even though I hate veggies because I don't like raw things. Anything to keep healthy.

Thanks for reading my weight loss story. Ciao

PS- snacked on roasted groundnut and crackers during the day

I don't think its safe to put garlic inside the vagina in the two weeks wait, just hold on, cos you might be pregnant and we don't want anything disturbing the baby, but after the TWW and testing, if +ve, then your doctor can prescribe something for you.

As of where to borrow, check out REN Money on www.renmoneyng.com/, a couple of my colleagues have borrowed from them and since its not a huge amount, interest rate wont be that much.

Do have a blessed day...

Thanks for your reply. I will wait patiently and prayerfully. Thanks for the site. I will check it out.

Please mamas, is it safe to insert garlic inside the veejay during 2ww or take flagyl (metronidazole) for bacteria vaginitis during 2ww. Please respond if you know the answer. TIA

In other news, does anyone know any organization or money lender where i could get a loan of 30k with fair interest rates? I have a small emergency. I work, so i can pay back. If employment letter and monthly payment slips are required, i can provide them to prove my ability to pay back. Please make una no jump and pass abeg if una know any place. @FruitfulRay, thanks for your response. Amen to your prayer.

@RipVanWink, thanks for your response. I actually didn't fall a victim. I read from this thread that the test is fake but to get our family friend off our backs, hubby and i decided to go for it with scepticism. We were surprised they only diagnosed PID. We thought they would bring out a list of ailments. And since it's PID I've been battling with, that was why i wrote 'i want to believe them' And i was asking if i should purchase their products because the herbal tea seems to be working.

As for the major causes you listed, number 5 is the culprit. I will definitely change hospitals and try my best to eliminate sugar and eat more of alkaline food and we do bathe before doing the do.

Thanks for your help.
