Politics / Re: House Of Representatives Reject Lifting Of Twitter Ban By Majority Vote by PICP02: 4:04pm On Jul 01, 2021
NwaAmaikpe:
shocked

Why should the Twitter ban be lifted?

The only people whose means of livelihood has been affected by the ban are those who have taken up the act of criticizing government as a job function.
We must not encourage unpatriotism.
Criticising our country is unpatriotic, we should be grateful that our farms are fertile enough to feed our herdsmen's cows.

It is unfair to ask them to build ranches when we have sufficient farmlands all over Benue and Oyo states to feed the cattle.

Many of our fathers are drunkards and most of our mothers are prostitutes, but we never say it in the public. We celebrate them every father's day and call them the best moms.
So how come we find it so easy to expose our darling daddy's government's inefficiencies?

We did not even for a second think that trying to expose the October 20th Lekki toll-gate Massacre on Twitter was unpatriotic.
How did we lose it?

Our forefathers have always suffered and smiled but the lazy youths of today want to challenge the status quo and will not hear till they are spoken to in languages they understand abi?

For now that language is Hausa. So those who have so far relied on Twitter for information should better switch to BBC Hausa or Voice of America Hausa.

The earlier you enrol for language lessons in Hausa, the better for you. Because before long, even the governors in the South will start speaking Hausa.

Sai Baba!

Patami has good intentions,

but the road to hell is paved with good intentions. A knife can be used for cooking and for stabbing.

Today's solution is tommorows problem

Nigeria is not yet ripe for this thing. The Yahoo boys will not like this news. phone thief's will hate you.

Nigerians hate innovation, you can't eat your cake and have it. if you want security, you must sacrifice something,

Nothing goes for nothing. The FBI and CIA has become too powerful because Americans have ceded a lot of power to them
The agencies you mentioned cannot be compromised and control led by their politicians.

Very simple... the criteria of purchasing any simpack is always that you register it there and then before it will be handed to you... it usually takes 2mins to register at any shop...That will reduce crime alot in Nigeria... I'm even surprised that it has not been introduced in Nigeria in this modern time...Every shop that sells sim is linked with network providers...
.what is this one saying

Be armed. A small penknife in the right hands can cause a lot of damage. Don't stab. Slash.

I'm scared of the ban oooo. The last time they banned Okada thieves came to my house 4 times. They couldn't breach my security but the neighbours hear am. It was so bad they made every man come out at night to defend their homes. By eliminating a problem they create another. All those abokis where dem wan go. Aboki wey dem kuku be bokoharam sleeper cells before. God save us

mad men in normal human clothing. this bunch empty brains ain't propose terms for kidnappers, no deliberation on how to curb the menace, no charging the security agency to step up their game.
hell fool's, we will roast you all some days soon, not too long to come. the signs are there for you but you guys are too gullible and greedy to notice or see the signs.

This is foolishness at its peak.
Now, I understand why many don't have hope in this country. Many Nigerian leaders are very incompetent. They just go into politics in order to improve their social lives.

Can you compare the security system in UK and USA with Nigeria? But you are using these countries as examples. What a shame!

How would it be known that ransom was paid where security agencies are unable to rescue victims or identify the criminals?

Lately, it's alleged that many state governments have been paying ransom secretly.
