Romance / Re: Is It Safe To Marry A Lady I Slept With On The First Date? Iā€™m Confused by PierreSizzl(m): 4:38am On Jun 20, 2018
People like you sir are the ones causing the hard to get mentality amongst women.

She paid for your flight and got hotel accommodation for you before you came, speaks volume about that kind of person. Means she's mature and knows what she wants and is not afraid to go for it.

You on the other hand were immature and had to go brag about you scoring to your friends. Ahn Ahn.. You never graduate from secondary school?

Real men don't kiss and tell. They gave it to you in secret. You sef collect it in secret and lock up.

Back to the matter, if you like her, wife her. You just have to tell your friends to respect her, and you have to begin to paint her in a different light in front of them. If you really love her like you say you do, you should try to correct your mistake.

And to the ladies out there like this lady in question, please continue to shoot your shot. Not all guys are this childish.

They treat them like SHEEIIT..so no one wants to be poor.

Truth is.. Really rich people understand the importance of the people that work below them. Rich people don't berate other people's labour.

Because they know that if those keep people doing their work, they remain rich.

It's someone that got money without working for it that would berate someone else's hustle. They don't understand the process.

Ignore them.

I wonder why some niggers (guys to be precise) will be Condemning yahoo boys, don't you have sense, your challenge is jealousy, you see those boys and you begin to envy them, if not for yahoo, what will those guys be doing, do you have job provided for them, you guys are so stupid, aren't you in Nigeria, is there Job? If your pained why can't you move closer to one of them and learn it, I wonder why guys reason this way, don't you wanna look good, don't you wanna buy car and good phones, don't you wanna enjoy life, dont you wanna build house, in fact I'm so dissapointed in some naija guys, or do you think there's hope in this country? Have you ever sat down and think why most of your mates are traveling abroad? Do you think about your life at all, most of you hope believeing things will get better and you sit back doing nothing to boost it, politicians are looting billions and you're there condemning yahoo boys! Lemme stop here before some people start to cry

Yes, we all want to look good, buy cars, do stuff, enjoy life. But my brother, stolen money is stolen money.

Imagine, if the hustle that pays you, belongs to a fund keeping a sick person from dying, or to someone else that wants the same ambitions as you, but is working a 9-5 and saving vigorously to achieve it.

Would you wear that Gucci with pride? Knowing that someone else has died because you stole their money? Or when you're taking pictures with that high end phone you stole the money to buy, would you be happy knowing that the guy you defrauded has been ejected from his apartment because you stole his rent?

Ask yourself, would you be truly happy knowing that you caused so much damage to 'look good'. Ask yourself, if you'd want your child to follow your footsteps, be greater than you, do more damage? .

The people that have a contrary opinion are not jealous. There's dignity in knowing that what you have, you didn't steal.

Ask yourself, and answer truthfully.

What about the savings of the country's treasury that has been looted in its billions of dollars. You see these thieves everyday on tv dont you? Youre busy throwing judgements on yahoo boys but youre doing so without light in your house and when you wake up to go to church tomorrow the road is horrible (money to fix all these have been laundered out of the country)and youre typing here hoping efcc will eliminate fraud from their N24 billion naira comfortable office. When will you get the picture?

Yahoo boys dont even make up to 1% of Nigeria's problem at all

Have you been defrauded before sir?

Obviously you haven't.. And that's the problem. Between the people looting our treasury and the ones looting our bank accounts, there's no lesser evil, we have to stamp them all out, one by one, as we get the opportunity.

Please help me consider this.. Assuming it takes you a year and half to save 2m naira, with you cutting off all forms of ostentatious living and depriving yourself, because you have a target.

Then one day, you input your banking password on the wrong page and in a flash, the whole money is gone. One yahoo boy has taken it. And spent it all in a week. Went to the club and bought drinks of 1m for himself and his crew, even made videos of them pouring the drinks on the floor, then carried 2 babes and paid them 250k each and spent the rest on an iPhone x.

You that has the money has never spent 100k in a single sitting at the club. You use a mid grade Samsung and you're happy, not because you're poor, but because there's a dignity in knowing that what you have, you worked to pay for it.

Now there's an opportunity to bring this guy to book, would you pass it up.. Because politicians are looting the treasury dry? After all, the yahoo boy is not up to 1% of our problem?

Please I want us all to question our conscience. If it's not happening to you, it has happened to someone else. And until we all begin to see each other's problem as a collective one, there's no going forward.

Same would apply to the politicians. It's because we are enabling them with our laissez-faire attitude, that's why the problem persists. When there's no consequence for evil, it would prevail in the hearts of men.

Wake up guys

Funny.

Stopping internet fraud is hard.

I don't support it but what are niggas to do?

The structure of the country is not one that allows legit hustle.

If it was a country like the US or Canada or Switzerland that they are deliberating such issue, it'd be more reasonable. Not here where Jobs are not provided and the environment to create a job is absent. An idle mind becomes the devil's workshop.

Internet Fraud is only normal in a condition like this. Boys should be left alone. Okay they should quit Yahoo and do what?

The system should be fixed first.

Shebi na because dem never nack you once ba?

This is very bad advice, OP you will be surprised that it is a secondary school student giving you advice. Nairaland is not the best place to seek counsel

Do you do anything in the house besides eat, sleep, watch TV and have endless sex? Your wife may be overburdened with house chores and she might be too tired to meet up to your demands.

Help her with domestic work or get someone to help her. Try and exercise self control, what if you have to travel away for a month, wouldn't you be able to hold yourself, is sex food, or does it sustain your breathing?

I agree with you ma.. Partially tho.. You are not to deny your partner your body. It's absurd, and it leads to more problems. This man is only baring his mind because I believe he is a good man. Majority would just find another girl that will fill in for madam every other day.

@OP: Maybe she's overburdened with work. She's stressed because you don't help her around the house (maybe).

Look for opportunities to do chores together. Take her out to places she'd love. Be as romantic as possible always.

And when the time comes, don't rush.. Engage in serious pre-intimacy for a long time. You'd be surprised how much your fingers can do.. Forget about yourself. Make it your mission to get her to enjoy it. Observe her body and learn how your touches affect her. Watch out for feedback-not necessarily moans, it can be fake- how she twitches when you touch her. Note how and where you touched her.. Give her head if you can.. It works like magic

Bottom line, try everything. See what she likes and don't judge. Just do.

Good luck.

Mate: the concept of attracting foreign investment is true but largely misunderstood. The ONLY area Nigeria has attracted foreign investment in the past has been in Oil and gas. In truth the foreign investment in this sector has continued largely unfettered. Nigeria; because of a deeply depressed socio-economic configuration, of high corruption, poor education and insecurity has NEVER been a strong foreign investment destination. It is only academic, textbook economic pushers that have continued to push the arguments about attracting foreign investment in such a negative socio-economic climate. The government has configured probably the most ambitious plan for a broad based improvement of infrastructure and security. This in my opinion is what general investment (foreign and local) will thrive on. I think those of us who wish to make an economic argument must do so within the parametres of the budget and its faithful implementation. We have attracted foreign investment in a one dimensional manner for too long. We need investors that make a direct interface with the Nigerian population. The type that build factories and allied social services. This will only get to happen where the security, and the lawful framework of the country has improved. I believe this government has progress in that direction. This endless chorus of despair is unhelpful and very likely contrived by politics. We need a proper discussion about the best plans and ideas, this is not about the next election, it is more about a new direction!

Fair point. But I'm sure you would agree with me that the oil we have isn't really helping as far as long term growth is concerned.

Lets use the automobile industry as an example. Licenses were awarded to companies in 2014 to assemble cars in Nigeria and that was the last we heard of it. We agree that because of the economic downturn, there is less spending power, yet the government buys expensive luxurious brands when we have cheaper Nigerian ones.

We all know of the popular innoson brand. If the government was serious about developing the automotive industry, mandate all official cars to be bought from one of these Nigerian companies. This will create market for them, and even force them to up their standard, in turn making them better.

You can assist them by making their costs cheaper, since most of them are in the east, create a sea port there. Create good roads between the port and their factories. Give assistance for importation of their raw materials. Do all of this and watch them grow.

I know we buy a lot of cars in this country so there's a viable market for them. From here, the brand can grow and even begin to export.

Unfortunately for us, we cannot separate economics from government. A step in good governance is a step in the correct direction. Truth is what I expected from this government is to create accountability in government. Public office holders are to be held accountable for their spending. If your family's budget overshoots , you don't go borrowing as the solution. You cut down on your ostentatious costs. This government should trim the needless spending, instead of incurring more debt.

I think Nigeria's larger tragedy is a very selfish elite, a highly pliable and restless citizenry and a seriously decadent political class. There are very few critics, especially the type that enjoy goodwill from a critical mass who detach tone and temperament whilst offering their opinions on an unpopular subject. So, somehow you will always find "social critics" aligning with popular opinions or causes. And this here is another example, we see it nearly every week, the likes of Pat Utomi, Dele Momodu (a well known flake) and his ilk. Not a lot of this group can distinguish between shaping public opinion and rehashing public sentiments. This is why I say Nigeria is full of Selfists!. These guys think first about their "brand" and constituency rather than broadening the space of thought and daring to offer an unpopular hypothesis. It beats me how Chimamanda will show up with her letters and propagate anecdotes, false impressions and contrived grievances as though they were hard facts. She vainly tries to contrive balance in her faulty analysis, but her skewed point is made. If you are reading this Ms,Adichie ask yourself if it is really true that the anti-corruption war is willfully only targeting opposition? Ask yourself if judges were "harassed and intimidated" like you say. There is a clear difference between explaining and complaining, try if you can to estimate the larger damage politically driven economic sabotage has cost the country and juxtapose that with the wrong perception of flawed economic policy. You do not become a great social critic simply rehashing opinions - because for the most part opinions are NOT facts! I am older than you are - so I also lived during Buhari's short first term in office. The picture you paint of generalised brutality is not one I can remember. You probably read this from the economist and have presented it here as fact. Nigerian armed forces are generally poorly trained - brutality is their badge and it wasn't less or more under Buhari.

Whilst it is true that Buhari has made some mistakes, configuring his cabinet late being the most obvious - it is disingenuous to isolate commentary into a shallow, narrow tube of cause and effect. The Buhari regime has met really difficult times in which the country has NO EASY choices to make. This is why "explaining" NOT complaining has become important. The persons responsible for the lingering rot are uncomfortable with their history and the looming realisation that they WILL pay for it. They have raised the decibel of deflection - mainstreaming the argument about complaining and the likes of Momodu, Adichie and Utomis of this world continue to egg them on. They hunt for likes on social media and constantly want to bask in critical self congratulation. They offer obfuscated analysis and think they can get away with it simply because they are singing the popular chorus. We need to configure a space for wider societal debate about Nigeria. Social media has become a serious threat to critical analysis and democracy as a whole. Even accomplished persons have been seduced by its false "neighbourhood effect". This piece may have been written for terrestrial media but the author no doubt knew it would have a bigger impact on social media.

Whilst Chimamanda writes beautifully when it comes to social commentary she does not write truthfully! Maybe she learn a thing or two from the likes of Sonala Olumhense and Okey Ndibe

You my kind sir are a hero.

This ruling class has seen the effect of social media on our youths and are using it to their own advantage. They have seen that it is a form of getting into the minds of our young ones so they take full advantage of it.

What easier way to campaign than to make your narrative trend on social media, get a lot of people to read it and run with it and use it as a base for forming their own opinions. By so doing, you implant what you want them to think deep in their psyche without them even knowing it.

And because we have an unsuspecting populace, this method works wonders.

I agree sir that this social media is a very serious threat to our democracy.

The literature is quite informative but glaring that it's basis is about still winning audience as the Author's profession demands. It has failed to broaden, counter and profer solutions to her highlights like an economist would have done.

It's just about pain and gain, Buhari's policies re on track though I might disagree with some which is based on personal analysis judgement. Buhari is simply breaking bends that with flex our economy.

Don't get it wrong. Buhari's policies have veered off track long ago.

For a developing country like Nigeria to break the bounds and become a developed country, we need to have a thriving economy. We need to be able to attract foreign investors. People that have money and are willing to do business here. Like it or not, if you have a viable product in this country, with our population, you will sell and your brand will grow. Nigeria is supposed to be a fertile market.

This administration has by action or inaction eroded the confidence of these foreign investors. People are no longer sure that investing in this country is a good idea.

I'm not a fan of the past government but at least on paper, Nigeria was the fastest growing economy in Africa at a time. It is that kind of reputation that gives you people to come invest.

Our so called messiah has come and killed everything and I blame people like Ms Adichie for our current predicament. If you knew what happened the last time and you readily supported him this time, your logic is flawed.

I believe it was clear for everyone to see that this man had nothing to offer. We just wanted to boot out the past administration because we believed it couldn't get worse. What a shocker.

Now the same people are banking on 2019. Do you think that this administration hasn't learnt from the last one? Think.. If it were you, will you allow us to have free and fair elections when you know the masses will vote you out? If this president is still in good health by then, expect a second term. At least that would not be the first time he will break a 'campaign promise'

Where was Ofeimun in 1963 when the Ibo/Hausa collusion colluded together to sentence head of the Yoruba nation regional govt. Chief Obafemi Awolowo and other Yoruba leaders to 10 years imprisonment for hook up treason trial?

It is now you are clamoring for restructuring and I said when the head is off it all be too late to cry.
See what the actions or inactions of that time has brought us to Nigeria of today.
And like Caeser "Oh conspiracy where for will thou hide thy eye brows.

My good sir ofwest47, you paint Chief Awolowo as a Saint that has no blemish but you forget the following:

That the Chief was found guilty of embezzlement. He diverted state funds to run his party as he couldn't compete with the Fred Okotie Eboh funded NCNC, and that was one of the reasons for his incarceration.

That lt. Col. Ojukwu tried to reason with Chief Awolowo to join the struggle of Biafria when he broke him out of prison, but he sided with lt. Col. Gowon which led the you as to side with Nigeria during the civil war. If the yorubas and igbos had united against the common enemy then, we might not have had this arrangement of a country today and I think we might have been better for it.

The Chief was responsible for the strategy to cut off salt supply to the igbo nation, causing a lot of deaths due to nutritional deficiency. Many of these deaths were children. This is genocide sir.

After the war, when Gowon said no Victor no vanquished, he mandated the then finance minister - Chief Awolowo to ensure that the igbos were returned to their lives before the war. The Chief in his discretion gave all the igbo men 20 pounds irrespective of their account balance before the war, effectively rendering them poor.

We still regard this man today as a founding father because he championed the cause for our democracy. We even have a university and various streets named after him. But are these actions noteworthy of a founding father?

I respect Odia Ofeimun but all what he said in this piece is nonsense and very disappointing. Nigerians voted out Jonathan because of his poor performance in office and nothing else. Linking his electoral loss to crude oil politics is absolute nonsense. How many oil well has Buhari allocated since he became president? Silly talk like this will only continue to divide the country at a time when all parts need to unite and demand for good governance.

And to the issue of restructuring, it is very funny that he tried to suggest that Yoruba's have abandoned the clamour after moving to the federal mainstream with APC. Just last week, Yakassai accused Yoruba's of pushing for restructuring out of jealousy and Ibos quickly supported him. No southern leader rebuked him or even try to correct that silly accusation. In fact, Igbos gloated over that thread without remorse. Now, Ofeimum is raising the issue again.

Even though I am still unconvinced about how restructuring will make us a better and more united nation, I think southerners must learn to take a position on the matter and stick to it. Restructuring can only be achieved through a united southern voice. Yorubas alone cannot champion the cause. SE and SS must also admit that they want Nigeria restructured and the call is not out of any jealousy.

Bros seunmsg.. You haven't heard of any awarding of oil blocks because that is what they want. For it to remain as it is. All oil block licenses were to expire this year-2016 and redistributed to new people, of course at the discretion of the GCFR as there is currently no law that governs the awarding of oil blocks in Nigeria - the current holders made sure of it through the senate.

I can tell you with good authority that 98% of oil blocks currently awarded to individuals are to people from the north, and they have had this privilege since the military rule.

Jonathan's rule might not have been very effective but the man tried to do things the right way. He didn't award oil blocks to his own people just because he had the power, but because he believed that come 2016 his people would have a fighting chance. But the cabals that always fight dirty gave the dog a bad name to hang it. Now we have seen that the change they promised us is very pseudo.

One of such powers from the north got his oil block in 1993 during Gen. Abacha s rule. He allegedly averages 4billion NAIRA a month. He's dead now but his family is richer than borno state where he is based and they still have controlling power over the oil block.

Many of my friends like you tell me that Nigeria's problem is not related to oil politics, but I don't agree. With such control comes a lot of money which brings a lot of power.

The only thing a lady needs to clean her lady part is just ORDINARY WATER. Even on her period, use just water to wash.

Someone told me 2 years ago and I was like, e go smell na''. One day i used a feminine wash, summer eve's and got a terrible bad reaction. I kneel down and said, God as I treat this, na water I go use from now on."

I started using water last year September, it's been one year now I've been using plain water, and let me tell you "ITS THE BEST. No smell, no discharge, no irritation, no itchy, just fresh V. I use just ordinary water even on my period days.

I feel so fresh down there, I bought a towel I use only for wiping, I don't use my body towel. Rinse with water after urinating, change pants whenever I can and sleep naked. Sleeping naked helps air circulation and it keeps yeast infections at bay.

Hmmm, water is life. I'm a proof. I drink lots of water on an empty stomach too. God is Good o. Water for life. Give it a try sister, and your life will never remain the same.

Love the sleep unclad part.. It does improve air circulation

Hmmmm... Let's say the 'lazy women' don't get married, another story will come up again that its the devil and a spirit wife that's holding their future husbands.

The world is too 'male-oriented'

Why didn't he advise women not to marry lazy men. The blame is always on the women. Always!

If nah man matter now, they'll start saying 'Stick with him, his life will be better'

Check my signature for an interesting read.

And if dem born your phone well, call me woman wrapper undecided

Brov..get all the facts..he also said women shouldn't marry men without jobs.

Quite frankly, I don't see anything wrong with what he said. If you don't cook for your husband, he eats out. You expose him to outside elements, other women willing to cook for him. He eats, loves the food, starts getting attracted to the other women, cheats on you once with them, then another time, then many more times. Then you blame him, because he can't control himself, meanwhile you are the root cause.

Same goes for a man who has no job. I don't see how you intend to provide for your family. A man that can't provide for his family can't have the respect of his wife, no matter the love they think they are in.

I think what the pastor said should be the blueprint of any marriage that plans to succeed.

Cheers.

Hmmm.

Na wa o.

A girl telling you not to initiate sex when she visits means that she wants sex?

A girl coming to charge things in your house without wearing hijab and niqab means she wants sex

Hian!
#todayilearned

You better don't be caught napping..an average sharp guy would put the moves on you in these conditions..

I don't see why a girl that knows I'm single will come to my house at night dressed provocatively because you want to 'charge your phone'. If you're not looking for something else..you'd at least wait till morning or go somewhere else..
