my plight too. I have searched everywhere for this cry.

topellycategory:
Hello guys does anyone know where I can get this Mayonnaise in the Uk ?
I have searched everywhere for it but I can't get it all . It seems no African stores in the Uk sell this type of Mayonnaise.

Thank you very much for putting these together.

We'd work on these.

Your points are all very helpful @Owoado and @Schoolhike

Schoolhike:

@Owoado is actually right.

For him to be able to an interview, that shows a sign of interest from the company because lots of other candidates have been screened out.

First of all, I would suggest he ask an experienced fellow or a friend to watch him do a mock interview as advised by Owoado.

2. Can he defend all what he listed on his cv, if asked to

3. Understanding each of the job roles perfectly.

4. Personally, I do use AI to understand the job roles sometimes or ask it to tell me the core skills needed to succeed in such roles by pasting the roles (this is just to have another perspective of what the role entails, I got to learn from 3 different ai, that their are always different ways views are being perceived).

5. Personally, sometimes when interviews has been completed, when I’m giving the opportunity to ask questions, I use that opportunity to say some few things they did not ask during the interview and I know it’s really important for the job or I felt will impress them, (like saying how you always assist your supervisor to archive their commercial aims and objectives by being a high performing employee) then backed it with a scenario, before asking my question.

6. Giving examples and scenarios is always good, (every one can claim that they are a good team player or good communicator, but give a scenario or example to back it up)

7. Try as much as possible to seek for feedback if unsuccessful after interview, (it does give lots of insight or encouragement, 3 of my unsuccessful interviews gave me feedback that kept me going, by not relenting, one told me that if their choosen candidate had not applied I would she been successful).

8. He can watch YouTube interview videos to improve (try @Richard Pass my interview )

Note: This is just an opinion.

Thank you very much for your advice.

We'd look into this and act appropriately

Owoado:

You mentioned that he's had some interviews but didn't get the jobs......could it be he needs to sharpen his interview skills?

Some of us believe we're great at interviews but that may not be the case. I had a personal experience with someone who thought he was doing well in the mock interview and refused my offer for a second mock interview (both free o).

If he can't get someone to do a mock interview with, let him record himself and watch the video.
You can find mock questions for him online.

Good evening House. I need your advice please. My partner is a Structural Civil Engineer with 9 years experience in Nigeria. He has tried to apply for series of jobs on all the job websites. Has had a couple of interviews which moved to the second stage, but was not shortlisted.

He is on a student dependent visa and has about 9months validity on his visa. He has about 3 months experience as a contract engineer here in the UK and includes his design portfolio along side his applications.

LinkedIn recruiters contact him to discover his availability but it doesn't yield any positive outcome. Has been actively searching for 3 months now.

Please is there something he is doing wrong? Any tips would be really helpful

Good evening House. I got to the UK 3 weeks ago, Sheffield precisely and haven't had any luck with job searches. Got only one interview which wasn't successful. The others do not respond or feedback.
Please what can I do? Am I missing a link? I apply from Total, indeed, Reed and LinkedIn.

@dduchess90, please is it possible to use my partners account as proof of funds? I am the Main applicant and can't find anywhere on the visa application page where I can click on using spouse's account as proof of funds

Good morning all.
Please I get stuck at this stage of my visa application. I am the Main applicant using my partners account as proof of funds.
We do not bear the same last names but we have a marriage certificate. How do I get past this stage please. Should I say yes to the parents and guardian option? What do I click as proof of relationship

Unserious people. After making it so difficult for professionals of series of years of experience to get a job in the country, all because their degrees are not tenable.
Meanwhile, health and IT international professionals degrees and skills are recognised in the same country.
Use and dump.
Did the Nurses and IT guys not finish from the same Nigeria? Telmabout shortage list cry

Good morning my people.
Having been in the Uk for over two months now studying at University of west London, I will like to advise admission seekers to opt for better options, only come to UWL if it’s your last resort or you don’t have any other option because the fees are too much for such a waste. Firstly, this school should not be a University but a polytechnic or college. The non academic staffs are super rude and the finance team are on another level. Once you get here, even after paying 10k tuition deposit, they will harass you for the balance of your tuition. The environment where the school is, housing cost is over the roof. Any money you are working will go to accommodations unless you have a family member to stay with. Timetable is adjusted at will and very annoying. Imagine having a class at 9am- 10am and another one at 5.30pm to 7.30pm! They will ensure you come to school up to four times a week. If you miss lectures too many times, they will send you emails threatening to send you back to your country oo. Lecturers will take forever to reply your email, I don’t know who gave them the award for student experience but that thing is audio. Forget about scholarships and tuition discounts.
If you are already coming to UWL, I will advise you to bring enough money along o. Again, UWL should be any admission seeker’s last resort because the school No be am at all. Total waste of all that money I must say. I have been researching ways to transfer and if I can get a refund of my tuition or the tuition is sent to another school. Please if you have any information on changing schools kindly help me please.

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Plaitex(f): 4:45pm On Aug 06, 2022
Hello House.

I am a newbie on the canada study Visa. I have tried to search but nothing has come up. Please are there any universities that offer admission without transcripts? I have a BSc cert in Resource management but do not have any copies of my transcript and I can't get it now until when the strike is over.
Please any suggestions on how to go about it? I intend to search for universities that still have their ongoing applications for Winter 2023

Hello House, please I got a letter of invite for interview today from the University of Bristol after previously turning down my application.
I am quite confused about the content of the fixed interview as I thought I would be interviewed based on my course of interest @digital marketing.
Please is this how it is done? Or there is a mix up somewhere

Really! I guess I have been misinformed. And to think I have refused applying for some schools for this reason
Gloriyah:

Placement year is good, especially the hands on experience you will gain from it and most are paid placement but aside the fee, you will pay IHS for 2years. At the end of the day, it all depends on you.
International students can’t apply for part time studies.
Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by Plaitex(f): 7:05pm On May 30, 2022
Good evening House.

Please do 2 years masters with internship placement (sandwich programme) worth it?
Considering that the school fees is slightly higher than a 1 year full time study program.
Also considering that the student will be 100% responsible for finding a job placement.

Please what would you recommend?
1 year full time
2 years full-time (with the second year being your paid internship)
2 years part-time which allows you spread the school fees across 2 years.

Thank you.

I am going for Digital marketing

A friend had same issues with her NIN. And spent 45k at their head office at Iwo and it was corrected immediately . Very exorbitant rate. I have a feeling those officials make that mistake on purpose in order to reap people off. ke

Good day gurus in house,
I wanted to get an international passport for my one year and I was told there is an error in his Date of Birth in his NIN slip
Instead of 19th of May they inputted 21st of May .

Phones / Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Plaitex(f): 9:38am On May 22, 2022
I mean this phone
genius43:

There is no such phone as Redmi Note 11 Ultra. Do your research properly.

Xiaomi has the Mi line of smartphones.
Redmi as a sub brand has it's own line of Smartphones.

Poco as an independent brand(Though still behaves like a Sub brand) has it's own like of Phones.

As far as Xiaomi is concerned Ultra belongs to the Mi Line. And for a one time thing the Redmi K30 Ultra( I totally forgot this one)

And even at that there is no Mi Note with an Ultra tag and neither has a Mi Note been released since 2020.
