Religion / Re: Children's Day: Are Children Always Blessing From God? by plamonee: 12:10pm On May 27, 2018
Many people subconsciously think that psalm 127vs 3 as meaning "children"as God's children. Various translation even call them sons because of the suggestive idea as implied in the last verse 5. For a proper understanding of that psalm you have to consider the writer, King Solomon. That verse starts with lo or behold, meaning you need to see with your inner heart. Not just what you 're seeing with your optical eye. He considers children as God's heritage. Just in like manner a man can have an inheritance. And he bequeath his inheritance to his children as a reward for being his offspring. In the same way God gives men children because they are his creation. And God is a God of principle, once you meet up with the requirements of the principle for conception to take place it will happen unless they are other intervening circumstances. My point then is being a child does not mean God's child. Are they children from the devil? Emphatically yes. God told Joshua to kill everything that has breath in Jericho including children. The same instruction was given to Saul concerning amalekite. Are all children born out of wedlock children of devil? Yes! My answer will surprise you but I will enlighten you from God's perspective as it relates to God's plan for redemption. They are three sets of people recognised by God in the earth today. They are , Christians, the Jew and the gentiles nation. Everyone under the gentiles are under the power and control of the devil. In reality he fathers them spiritually. My battery is low will continue later.

Bros, please go and buy land, forget investment in instrument. Our economy is not matured enough to give you adequate returns. You can get lands in developing areas from 600k up. Within 2 or 3yrs it has doubled. While instrument is still battling with melt down, vaporization and various forms of economic earthquakes.

Religion / Re: You Disobey Jesus Whenever You Say Someone Is Your Spiritual Father by plamonee: 9:52am On Mar 18, 2018
CharlieMaria:

1. To understand what Jesus meant, we have to review 5 consecutive verses, not just 1 as is done by those who distort the Sacred Words of the Lord Jesus. In Matthew 23:8-12, Jesus said, “But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all students. And call no one your father on earth, for you have one Father, the one in Heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Messiah. The great among you will be your servant. All who exalt themselves will be humbled, and all who humble themselves will be exalted.”

When carefully examining the above verses, we see that Jesus did not only condemn the usage of the word “father,” but He also condemned the usage of the words “rabbi” and “instructors.” Why? It is because the Jewish leaders “loved to have the place of honor at banquets and the best seats in the synagogues, and to be greeted with respect in the market places, and to have people call them rabbi.” [Matthew 23:6-7] Jesus was condemning the Pharisees who were so full of pride, that they were doing all what was possible to achieve fame, success, rank. Their proud hearts were completely corrupt.

The Pharisees had elevated themselves above God as the ultimate authorities, as father image and teachers. Lacking humility, they failed to humbly look up to God as the source of all authority, fatherhood and teaching.

2. If we are to discontinue the usage of the word “father,” then we also have to discontinue using the word “doctor.” For “doctor” means a religious teacher, an adviser, a scholar, an instructor. The word doctor is Latin for the word “teacher.” It comes from doct-stem of docere which means “to show, teach,"

While it appears that Jesus condemned the usage of the word “teacher” in the above verses, in Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus appointed some men to be teachers of His Church. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.” It can be concluded that Jesus was not condemning the usage of the word “father,” “teacher,” or “rabbi.” He was telling the Pharisees to humble themselves and to stop seeking those titles for themselves.

3. If we are to condemn the usage of the word father, that means to deny every child in the world the right to make reference to his/her biological father. It means all the children will never be able to express that they love their father because such would be condemned.

4. If we are to condemn the usage of the word father, then no one would have the right to speak of the Holy Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. God the Father would become meaningless since it would be forbidden to refer to Him. The concept of Divine fatherhood would be none existent.

5. In the New Testament, there are numerous reference to the usage of the word “father.” In Acts 7:2-4, Stephen refers to the ancestors of Abraham, the word “father” being used. In Philippians 2:22, Paul said, “But Timothy’s worth you know, how like a son with a father he has served with me in the work of the gospel.” St. Paul refers to himself as a spiritual father in Philemon 10, “I am appealing to you for my child, Onesimus, whose father I have become during my imprisonment.

Again, Saint Paul refers to himself as the father of believers in 1 Corinthians 4;14-15, “I am not writing this to make you ashamed, but to admonish you as my beloved children. For though you might have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers. Indeed, in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.

The above biblical references to the word “father” are sufficient to show that Jesus was not forbidding everybody from using the word “father.”

CONCLUSION

Having proven that it is permitted to use the word “father,” let no one condemn you for making reference to your biological father, or to your spiritual father, your local priest, of even for making reference to the Holy Father, the Pope, the head of the Catholic Church on earth. Learn the above references and defend the Catholic faith for the glory of God.
well said. Nothing to add.

I don't think "regaining power "is a good phrase. It suggests lost of something that belongs to you. Power does not belong to PDP or APC. It belongs to the people. In as much I support PDP to have another shut at the next election they should not carry on the mentality that power belongs to them. At least losing it should have thought them that. Such phrase as, ascends to power, regain the trust of the people or receive the people mandate is more suitable than regain power.

I must commend your thoughtfulness in handling this matter, more especially not exposing him to public ridicule. Indeed you love him. My advice is this, since he still have sex with you, time your sexual initiation to coincide with your ovulation period. That will increase the chances of conception. Secondly be more involved in solving the problems he is facing. Show that the wait he is carrying, you are carrying it as well with him. Humble him by being very loyal to him. When he expect you to react remain cool. I feel you are already doing all this. Finally , PRAY! Very important, you can never know if the devil is after your marriage and happiness. Destroy whatever seed that is implanted in him with your knees. Don't loose sight of the fact you are a good woman. All the best!

It is good to set standard so as to maintain current level of happiness elicited from public admiration and approval. But I strongly advise that you prioritize. Set time you want to get married and court a man for that purpose. The man may not necessarily be in your level(above or below). The most important thing is he a Christian? Am assuming you are a serious one though. Take time to find out his aspiration, vision and worldviews. Bring up issues you have formed strong opinions about and find out his views. Also find out about his love life, his personal life history. There is a mindset people in your world have, since I have cash and a good job I can get any man I desire. No you won't! You will get the kind you deserve. Now that being said, I will tell you one last thing . It's not popular but is wise, check out your old friends, the ones you knew that loves you and is unmarried but for one reason or the other you are no longer in communication. You may just find a total package. One thing about old acquaintances is the love is pure. He was not bewitched by any external influence to make him confess love to you, you just grew on him. That one will last. Wish you all the best. Bye!

Politics / Re: Buhari's Cabinet Shake-up: My Candid Recommendations For Sack by plamonee: 4:21pm On Mar 12, 2017
ProfDumbledor:
As we anxiously await cabinet shake-up by PMB, here are candid recommendations for sack:

1.Yemi Adeosun: the worst ever minister of finance. Naive, clueless with a false sense of achievement.
2. CBN governor: confused, naive and incompetent
3. Fashola: too busy doing absolutely nothing. He doesn't have a clue at all. He should be stripped of power and housing ministries.
4. Yemi Osibanjo: Was amazed when he blamed forex crisis on corruption n pipeline vandalism. He doesn't have a clue about the economy and therefore should be removed as the head of the economic team. A more competent technocrat should be appointed.
5. Udo Udoma: a disaster and a square peg in a round hole. Shouldn't have any business with budget and national planning. Ben Akabueze should replace him.
6. Customs boss: a disgrace to customs. A man with an ethnic agenda.
7. DSS boss: another man with an ethnic agenda. DSS is now an enemy of the people.
8. Babachir Lawal: an arrogant, clueless and corrupt grass cutter.
9. Education minister: lol. A career accountant heading such an impotant sector. No wonder education in Nigeria is in coma.
10. Health minister: a reverred classroom professor but definitely incompetent in managing the health sector. Old, slow in action, divisive and unreceptive to new ideas.
Osibanjo submission on corruption and pipeline vandalism is correct as been the immediate cause of forex crisis. The immediate cause is sharp decrease in supply of dollar as a result of fall in revenue derived from sale of crude. Although corruption is a remote cause its enhanced speculation on the naira.

You shouldn't conclude that you experienced afterlife with this your story that sounds like movie in ancient time. A spirit does not have characteristics of the physical body, thus could not be doing activities you claimed you were doing . That was like a dream, or a strong imagination.

Sorry, a human spirit look exactly as the human only that it's substance is different. In his account he side, his spirit took him which is consistent with account of people in bible days. Don't be too dismissive, God is still granting revelation even in our time. One thing is sure about all revelation it must lead you to Christ and deepen your knowledge of God. There is so much we do not know being restricted to only four dimensions. There's fifth, sixth, and seventh dimensions of knowledge available right now in Christ. But beloved all this things are granted when you have developed a relationship with holy spirit who made all this possible.

Kudos to PMB for saving during austere times. Thanks to cbn governor for a good job. At least there is hope. My advice to those student waiting for forex allocation to pay tuition is, they should return to Nigerian university. Reasons:
1. Is patriotic to do so.
2. There's no job upon completion.
3. Many of them are studying management courses which is well served up in nigerian universities.
4. Forex scarcity means we will apportion . Such courses that has the most likelyhood of landing a foreign job upon completion should be given forex. such like, medicine, software engineering, ict, and the likes. Upon completion they will join others to increase our direct remittances to Nigerian.
5. Nigerian university is not so bad, many of us attended it and we didn't turn out bad.

Business / Re: Naira Appreciates To N498/$ As Reserves Hit $28.3bn by plamonee: 8:20am On Feb 08, 2017
According to the report, " not the increase in external reserve that matters but the supply to the market". My question is, should we empty our reserve so as to have enough to supply to the market? Of course no. The major cause of this naira nosedive is our unbridled demand for foreign made goods. Have nothing against someone raising his standard by preferring foreign product. My qualms is with the importers, industrialist, manufacturers and relevant government agencies charged with policy, planning and regulatory functions. Can we not take statistics of various products being imported, organise it into a proposal and approach the manufacturers for the need to produce in Nigeria. Or even our importers to transform to manufacturers by producing the basic things that does not require sophisticated technology. I think many of our leaders are lazy and want quick profit. Custom should continue to be alive to their responsibility of enforcing ban products. Also government should develop more trade partners with countries that can transfer technology. Looking at the whole picture it will take a long time for the naira to recover unless something is done to our taste and preferences.

This is policy may not work. Reasons: we need investment in production, manufacturing and other real sector categories. Investment in trading, distribution and services When general economic demand is low will lead to loan loses. Emphasizes should be placed on stimulating demand especially demand for made in Nigeria goods and services. I see the decision to lend to existing business for expansion purposes as commendable so as to reduce risk of losses. Business expansion and growth is usually inwardly engineered for sustainability purposes.Government should not be engaged in this kind business. Leave it for the micro finance bank and other financial institutions. Government should focus on infrastructure, initial capital investment required for various extractive minerals for export purposes. Construction of atleast one more refinery that has the capacity to refine aviation fuel and others. This petty way of sharing money is not sustainable and should be discontinued. Above all it may encourage inflation.

But if he is using the law for self serving then he cast shadow on the war on corruption. For me I think PMB should confirm him. Most of his sensitive appointment has been skewed favourably to the north. He behave as if the party will not come to campaign again in 2019.

Restructuring is the starting point for growth and solution to all our problems as a country. it will happen if the country will continue to co exist. I implore the present crop of leaders to see beyond the present. Corruption is prevalent because the present structure supports it. Underdevelopment is seen everywhere because the present structure supports it. I subscribe to the zonal structure been proposed by pastor Bakare because 36 state true federalism is not sustainable. But the zones can exist on there own and make contributions to the centre. Is the only way to go. This present leaders should write their names in gold by initiating and finalizing the working of this restructuring. Militancy, corruption , underdevelopment, insecurity and other economic problems are attributable to this structure. Is lame n proving to be unsustainable. Where a government have to wait for federal to pay his salaries and continue borrowing to finance project without a tangible repayment plan unless if allocation improve is a waste. we are actually practicing socialism with the structure of federalism. It can't fit in. No wonder we have a society that is difficult to describe. Tell me which sector is truly productive. None! Oil sector was benefiting from fluctuations In the international market and we were squandering all the goodies. I can go on and on, but the point is we must restructure. The north is afraid because they don't have oil. Not realizing that many countries don't have oil but they are still well off. Oil is not the basic need of man. The basic need of man is food, cloth and shelter. Which they have the means in abundance. oil only aid movement which is transportation. Is secondary. With the level of consciousness in the north and their religious Orientation I dare say the north is more likely to be more stable and prosperous than the south in the restructured Nigeria.

All this issues will still come down to low tariffs! The need to increase tariff. As if that is the solution. This private operation of the gencos and the discos is suffering from lack of funding. They don't want to make more investment in the sector. And to a great extent I blame the discos. There was a report that they are turning down power for fear of payment to the gencos. The discos are still struggling with a reliable way to bill, distribute and collect bill payment. They should have distributed metres or reduce the price to encourage people to buy. People aren't seeing light and you are billing them on estimated bills is fraudulent. They react by refusing to pay. Since they need the light they will collude with your already disgruntled workers to collect tips and life goes on. Light will have issues for many months they won't fix it unless individuals gather and contributes sometimes in millions to rectify it and they will come to collect bills payment. what happened to the individuals contributions to fix the faults? Since is no longer owned by the government but individuals they should capitalize the amount and deduct it accordingly from bills. The sector should be more standardized like the Telecom sector to encourage all stakeholders.
