Good day, Doctor,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to commend you on the informative write-up; it certainly provides valuable insights.
Could you please clarify the total duration of the trip in weeks? Additionally, I’m curious if ladies are allowed to wear trousers, such as jeans or joggers.
Thank you for your assistance! 1 Like |

You need to show - First year tuition - A year's living expenses equal to $20,635 - Return Flight Tickets cost - Small change
Then sources to raise the funds for subsequent year(s) of study For updated PoF, am I using old rate when I submitted the application or the new rate. E.g, 10,000 cad @ old rate 10,000cad @new rate 20,000cad @ new rate. Pls which of the above @JMG12 |

For me I will say depending on your age and what you do for a living, use you mum but most preferable as a co-sponsor while you do self sponsor. Victoryokondu: Hello guys, long thread because I need help! How best can I package an application for study permit. My sister in Canada is the one giving me 27k cad she just graduated but she cannot stand as my sponsor because she is giving me all she has. So she wants my elder brother to do that. I have in total 32k cad ready so I'm going to be using 10k cad for my acceptance fee and then 21k for POf which I will send to CIBC. Now I plan to build my brothers account for a globus bank POf for the remaining fees. Should I rather use my mother as my sponsor? My mother is retired but she just sold a parcel of land of which I can proof that and she has about 4 million naira of pension statement or should I use my brother, I don't know if he has so much but my sister is willing to send all the cad funds to his account should I agree on who to use. Abeg help me. This is my second visa application, I get money but I don't know how to package it 1 Like |

Johnbosco1: Finally, Nairaland is back.
PPR dn drop, finally guys! It dropped 30 minutes after my deferral request to was approved. 😂
Timeline: Submitted application on October 18 Upfront medicals and biometrics had earlier been captured in my 1st application (This is my second application) No update or progress whatsoever on my dashboard until Dec 18, when I received PPR. Till now, eligibility is still in progress as with background check. Lol
After I had done my findings, I came to the realization that there were number of things missing in my first application, and it had failed in a number of places so I decided to bring reinforcements on the second application.
First application was self-sponsored, and the refusal was due to insufficient funds even though 70% sch fees was paid, 10k GIC, and 5m for other small stuff.
I applied for gcsm note but didn't get any so I reapplied.
For the second application, here are the documents I submitted: 1. Passport Data Page 2. Affidavit of Return 3. Certificate of State of Origin 4. Police Character Certificate 5. Certificate of Birth 6. E-medical information Sheet (Upfront medicals) 7. Statement of Purpose 8. Academic/Professional resume 9. Letter of Introduction 10. Professional certifications 11. Property ownership (land and a car) 12. Full tuition confirmation receipt 13. 10k GIC certificate 14. Mybank statement 15. Pension Reg Certificate 16. Pension Statement 17. Contract Agreements 18. Employment Letters 18. Payslips 19. Tax Clearance certificate 20. Acceptance Letter 21. Nysc Certificate 22. Degree Cert 23. Statement of results 24. Students transcript 25. Waec cert and testimonial
I wanna thank y'all for your contributions on this platform, all of you! Y'all have such a great community. Didn't have to ask many questions because the questions were already asked and the answers provided accordingly, all I needed to do was to read through each page. Congratulations 1 Like |

Politics / Rapid Response: Niwa Deploys Machines To Clear Dreaded Water Hyacinth In Ikorodu by pnieeventures: 3:39pm On Oct 12, 2023 |
National Inland Waterways Authority ( Niwa) deployed its massive swamp devil machines to attack and clear pervasive water Hyacinth vegetation, which has clogged navigable water channels in ebbutte areas of Ikorodu in lagos state. Presently ongoing, the project, which is a direct and proactive response by the federal water transportation regulatory agency, to calls by boat operators, is strategic to keeping lagos waterways free from such encumbrances and a headline efforts to assure boat operators and water transportation stakeholders of their safety. The water Hyacinth weeds rear up its fangs from October to late December, every year, a natural phenomenal occurrence that impedes boating activities and aggressively disruptive of fishing activities on inland waterways across the country. Engineer ( Dr) Sarat lara Braimah, lagos Area Manager of niwa, who led the water Hyacinth expedition team, disclosed that niwa has mapped out strategic plans to tackle the menace, adding that a special team of niwa environmental experts will be on detailed look out for the mystery weeds to help arrest their impact before they could overrun the navigable channels in Lagos. She appealed to organised boat operators and water users to report any sighting of the weeds to the niwa lagos office, calling on stakeholders to be circumspect and obey all extant safety regulations. https://businessupdate.com.ng/2023/10/12/rapid-response-niwa-deploys-machines-to-clear-dreaded-water-hyacinth-in-ikorodu/ |

Bobomaigida:
Your decision will depend on your financial health. If you have other sources to raise the funds then go that rather than the loan. If you do not have other sources, then you have to go for the loan. The truth is that Mpower loan is expensive but it sometimes the only loan available to international students that do not have a cosigner. You can start with them to pay pending tuition and subsequently pay them off after some time in Canada after you have built credit score with local banks to secure affordable loan with longer tenors. Thank you, I think I will go with your advice but I won’t mind if you can give on how to pay them off. |

Good day everyone,
Have gotten approval for MPower loan( awaiting disbursement upon submission of study visa), my concern is the amount to be repaid which is more than double the approved amount spread across ten years.
My reason for applying for the loan in the first place is, instead of stressing to source for 22,000cad for tuition fee, while not let MPower take care of the tuition then I work to pay back in installments while also using it to build credit scores but I read somewhere that it is not worth it, that it kind of like enslaving oneself; that it is better to source for the funds( abeg with this our currency devaluation every minute, money wey de bank de loss value every day, complete POF way I gather to use build account since June no reach anything again when I wan use am now)
Please I need your genuine opinion, advice and criticism on this before I get myself deeply rooted in it. @Zubizareta,@JMG12,@Bobomaigida,@Damilare5882 and everyone in Maple land come put mouth for this o.
Sorry for the long post |
