Buying land for $1 million to a erect a one story bungalow, a single family home or a duplex is very stupid and abnormal. You don't see this behavior in any other country -- not even relatively poor countries like India, Lebanon or Eygpt.

High land prices are supposed to incentivize you to build higher, the way these Lebanese did. Nigerians would rather just build a single family home to sell for a unjustifiably high price.

Actually, as an economic analyst. you'll need to think more like one. First of all, skyscrapers shouldn't be a mark of development. In fact, they're the very reason that property prices in Dubai have crashing for close to ten years. Just simple demand and supply. Cities like Barcelona,London and Paris do not have as much Skyscrapers as Dubai, Shanghai, Newyork and Hong Kong, but who takes in more money in tourism? Multiple skyscrapers are only suited to a business hub. I expected you to complain more about poor house construction and the poor state of infrastructure such as roads.

Now, I agree that something seems to be wrong with most black states, but this is a complex issue and not what should warrant childish throwing of insults because maybe you think you are part of the "wise" few. There are many factors that has resulted in the disparity between "whites" and "blacks", and it's not only an intellect issue, though that may be part of it. As for me, the major problem is the lack of hardworking individuals, a lot of Nigerians are smart, but they do not work hard, so it looks like they dumb, but no, they just lazy. Nigeria's economy has two growth potentials, Agricultural (eg: Brazil) and Workforce (eg:China), but both need time and hardwork, so we leave them out.

Lastly, do not say all Nigerians are stupid or monkeys or whatever, That's very rude, uninformed and unwise. There are lots of Nigerians out there doing well. Agro Tech startups are being created by teams of smart hardworking Nigerians to bridge the gap between Knowledge and Agriculture. Companies like Andela are taking advantage of the available Workforce of intelligent individuals to train skilled software guys. Others that I may not mention are doing great too.

So, criticise, but please end the hasty brutal generalizations, there are lots great people out there.
