yes PMB didn't initiate the project but give credit to him at least on the issue of railways he has done more than anybody else. The Itakpe-Warri line abandoned by IBB he finished that too. All these projects when Nigeria's finances are down to almost nothing. If previous administrations had been as aggressive in finishing these projects PMB completed when they had more money to play around with then their won't be reason to argue about who started or completed it.

On 2nd Niger Bridge no glory is being claimed because nothing was done in the first place. It's not like he met it 75% complete and fully paid for project is just now getting the attention previous governments used to campaign.

AutoReportNG:

You either like it or not, PMB did not start the Lagos-Ibadan Railway. You can argue and start all you need to. Yes he completed it but he never started it. It like claiming the glory for 2nd Niger Bridge .

Do you or your followers know the meaning of lies?

Where and how did PDP start the project.

You need to learn the difference between planning and executing(starting) a project.

For your information, the project is still under construction. Some stations like Agbado, Agege, etc, and workshop at Kajola hasn't been completed. I wonder where OP got his/her information from.

You're really a senior writer.
Doing what you are supposed to do as elected shouldn't be hyped. But in a country like ours, they do so to score cheap popularity!

Even the Lagos-Ibadan phase of the project isn't completed as the OP affirmed. Work is still ongoing at the train stations like Agege, Agbado, Kajola, . . . It was only flagged off last week Thursday for reasons best known to them!

What a shame that the only achievement of PDP in infrastructure is claim that they started it? What a horrible shame! So even if they started it, but to what stage? Did they do drawing like second Niger bridge or what did they do? APC is full of dull people but PDP was and is hopeless. An administration that sold crude at over $100 for 5 straight years (2010 - 2014) can only claim to have started projects? And people that attended school are part of their supporters?

Even the Warri -Itakpe rail that was started by Babangida in 1986, they could not complete in 16years. Buhari completed it within 4 years. PDP is cursed. Very shameless party of rogues

Looks like you don't understand the word "significantly"

You can not use that word to describe anything because you have no clue about the project, you were not there, you don't know what they did or did not do, you have zero access to data or official government records and scope of work at any level of deliberation, negotiations, construction, supervision and completion.

You don't get to quantify what you know nothing about.

Osinbajo said at the ceremony on 6 March, adding that the target date for completion of the $1.5bn double-track railway was December 2018, reports Nigerian newspaper, The Guardian.

State-owned China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) will build the railway.

The Lagos-Ibadan rail link is the first leg of a much longer railway stretching from Lagos inland to Kano. A multi-billion-dollar contract for this railway was first awarded to CCECC in 2006 under then-President Olusegun Obasanjo, but a lack of funds prevented the project from starting.

It was re-awarded to CCECC by another president, Goodluck Jonathan, in 2012, but again failed to start.

Hi
Nbotee:
This govt and claiming and twisting facts. The Lagos-Ibadan stretch of the rail project is part of the Lagos-Kano project which was started by the GEJ administration. The Abuja-Kaduna portion of the project had already been fully completed and dis portion of the project had already been started by the previous administration which was why dis govt embarked on a modernisation of what was already done wen it claimed to have started it
fully u said?

If the shameless party signed the contract in 2012, so what happened between between 2012 and 2015, when the rogue party was kicked out ? How come it only takes 2017 before the ground breaking for the project was done?

Can you see the game the hopeless party was playing since 2006?

https://www.railway-technology.com/news/newsconstruction-of-15bn-lagos-ibadan-rail-line-in-nigeria-to-begin-next-month-5717341/

In 2006, CCECC was awarded the contract to build the Lagos-Kano line at a cost of $8.3bn. However, the deal could not be executed due to lack of funds.

It's sad that it's add for some youths to do a simple google search. Tell me one project that can match 3rd mainland bridge (which was built during ibb regime) started and finished by Piideepee in there whole 16 years? All na they signed but nothing on ground. Those losers just they sign paper, then chop all the money. Buhari started and finished Lagos Ibadan rail, 2nd Niger bridge will follow next year, zungeru hydro electric etc Una go choke

So signing a contract is the same as executing(starting) and completing a project?

The news article is even telling us the project would start in 2014,which never happened.

How many signed contracts have been executed (started) in Nigeria?

Or is the representative picture below, your own evidence of the construction site?

If so ,you must be a clown grin

hateful lair. PDP failed to deliver. Drawing is not project done. All those drawing paper works was used to steal from Nigerians. APC did it from the ground breaking in 2017 to full commissioning in 2021. Just like 2nd Niger bridge , its all politically drawn on paper by PDP, no single block was laid to commence the project. But the bridge is now coming to live under Buhari.
APC delivered this infrastructures in record time, deal with it.
