According to the verse you posted, it is not the sin that is inherited but the punishment for the sin that is inherited.

Another thing is that the ruling in question, only applied to those descended of the blood of Jacob as detailed in Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 20, so why does this freethinker assume this Law of Moses applied to his person to begin with?
