So, I was reading about required documents and I found out that..

1. The document(s) required for proof of work experience is a reference/experience letter from employer indicating all the necessary and required information.

My questions:
(a) why do some people advise to include bank statement as supporting document for proof of work experience?
(b) Even if one is to include bank statement, what is the recommended duration to include? For instance it will not make sense for someone with 4 years work experience to include bank statement that covers the whole duration, that would probably be too cumbersome. (about 2000 pages doc.)
(c) what other documents can be used as supporting documents for the proof of employment along with the reference letter?

2. The document(s) required for proof of funds is an official letter from the bank indicating all the relevant information including the current account balance and average account balance for the past 6 months. (This is not a bank statement). Other documents may also be requested as necessary.

My Question: I've seen many post talk about providing 6 months bank statements to show pof and all. Is this a misinterpretation, or ircc do request for bank statement in some/most cases? Or is bank statement part of the "other documents" that may be requested?

1. If you work for company like one baba sala plc or a not too popular company that the visa officer cant find online. They sometimes ask people to provide other evidence like bank statements showing salary inflow. They know Nigerians submit fake work experience. So some people put it when submitting just in case. Last 6 months is ok or otherwise specified. Not compulsory to include.

2 .most Nigerian do not include average balance, with 6 months bank statement the visa officer can compute it. If you are using gift deed or sale of properties its not required to provide 6 months.

Good morning to you all.
Plz I need your candid advice which will contribute immensely to my application. I’m trying to apply for pgd which am still on it and my wife wanted to apply for PNP through express entry as principal applicant bcoz of her 10yrs experience in multinationals company. The main problem now is my year of birth which is 1983 but on my transcript and school certificate is 1986 which I already complained to school but they told me nothing can be done but someone advice me to rectify it with court affidavit bcoz my passport photographs is printed on the right corner of school certificate. On my passport I have 1983 which I have used to apply to schools in Canada and also couple of years back to USA,Uk embassy and I learnt that they share the same database now to check background. Plz advice me if this will not cause misinterpretation that goes with 5 yrs ban and also will affidavits and explanatory letter help when sending my credentials to WES.... Thanks

[ quote author=UrsyBC post=103032151]I
graduated in Dec...got a PNP immediately I finished my 1 year program in Canada with a 3yr work permit..also got ITA ...all in January. A lot happened in between. Had to wait for certificate to arrive in June before applying for PR. I hope things go well.

Applied for visitors visa since 3 months now...no show...and I need to visit Naija any which way. Obviously, visitor's visa from Naija has been paused but from here, it's wierd that the processing time keeps increasing.

Hello. So does this mean I'll not be having any issues with by bank refusing to give me an average balance of 6 months? I'm not using a gift deed.
Thanks.

Good afternoon please.
I studied English Education (B.ed). I'm about to start CIPM exams. My work experience is in HR and I am applying under human resource professional. Do you think if I assess my bsc and cipm my work experience before dping CIPM will still be acknowledged? Or they would not count it for me due to my B.ed being unrelated to human resource?

Your work experience and ECA are two different things.
ECA acknowledges that your education in Nigeria is equal to that of canada
Work experience - you have to prove that the experience you are claiming is valid. For example; you say you have 3 years experience in HR, your reference letter should validate that claim.
I hope this helps.

Hi Ednut
Please some part were cropped off in the picture.
What did you fill in the column - "credential"
Was it "associate of the institute' or 'certificate of membership"?

WES ON EVALUATION OF ICAN

Hi everyone looking to evaluate their ICAN ACA using WES. I thought I share this here because before I did my evaluation there was a lot of confusing information on if I should send my ICAN ACA to WES for evaluation or if I should send only ATS. I eventually sent both after I saw the below. From what I have learnt, ICAN ACA is evaluated favorably with the equivalent in Canada being a bachelor’s degree (Bsc) of three years.

My take away from what I read on this thread is that rather than select Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) when filling out your WES application, select “Associate of the Institute”, this is very important to get a favorable evaluation. This will put you under the category of two or more certificates or diploma. Although I am still expecting my evaluation from WES, the below thread and attached image confirms this is true.

Good luck to every ICAN holder looking to evaluate their ACA

The same thing happened to be when I evaluated my b.sc and diploma in 2019. My diploma was rejected as well. After the stress I went through even getting those transcripts sent in the first place I wasn't about to visit unilag again o. I had to send WES several emails explaining how it was possible that i sent my diploma transcript myself as unilag never sends transcripts to their alumni. After back and forth of about 2 weeks, the transcript was accepted! You could do the same. Unilag does not send electronic mail to WES, it's all done via DHL. Unless ofcourse you dont mind going to the diploma office to have it sent again.

Please is there any other way to reach them? I have used the contact form linked to my account but i keep getting the same "Your inquiry has been forwarded to the appropriate department for review" response.

Hello Guys, I'm new to this subreddit and I would appreciate any help. I'm currently in Canada on a PG work permit. Due to difficulty in getting a job, I'm trying to apply for the express entry stream using my one year NYSC as work experience. The problem is that I did not have a defined job role where I worked but I have been able to summarize it under Administrative Assistant based on similarities in duties. How do I go about getting a reference letter that clearly explains my employment. does my NYSC certificate of completion suffice?

Thank you

Hi everyone, my current CRS score is 493.
I av msc, had Ielts (L-8.5, R-8.5, S-8.5,W-7), and etc.

After waiting all these months, I'm considering applying for pnp, (oinp). But pple are saying my score is too high for pnp. Is it true? Has anyone applied for Ontario pnp recently? What is the CRS score that can apply or is there a range? Thanks.

You don't need hardcopy for anything.
It's an electronic Application for Permanent Residence (eAPR). Nobody is going to ask to sight any hardcopy.

they only chose from a range below the prevailing crs most times. If they take you now and tomorrow you get federal ita you will reject and waste it. Just chill. The day they resume draw 493 will surely be picked.

just get a normal reference letter. You dont need to state nysc. Nysc letter also serves no purpose as it does not prove or say you performed any role.
