I was shocked when I saw the scoreline. Be that as it may, I'm impressed about the fact that a single player from Zambia scored all three goals.
I checked her out and saw that she plays in a Chinese club.
Scoring three goals against Netherlands is no mean feat. I'm sure top clubs would seek her signature when the tournament's over.

But wait o...
Is the Olympic football not an u23 thing anymore these days?
A lot of very old players are in this tournament.
What am I missing?
At the Olympics, men's football teams are majorly the U23s with 3 senior players, while women are made up the senior squads.

It is really unfortunate to know that Nigeria has no representative in the football events at the Olympics.

Wolfsburg have completed the signing of German-born attacking midfielder of Nigerian descent Felix Nmecha, informs the official website of the German Bundesliga side.

Nmecha has joined Wolfsburg on a free transfer following his release by Premier League champions Manchester City, where he spent almost eleven years.

An England youth international, Nmecha has put pen to paper on a three-year contract at Wolfsburg, until 2024, and becomes the club's fifth signing in the off season.

The 20-year-old has departed Manchester City after making three appearances for their first team including debuts in the Champions League, Emirates FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

"I’m pleased to be here and I’m grateful for the confidence that VfL have placed in me. I’m ready to give my best for the team and be successful," Felix Nmecha said.

Felix follows in the footsteps of his elder brother Lukas Nmecha who completed a move to Wolfsburg this month.

The younger Nmecha will begin training with his new teammates on Thursday at the training camp in Bad Waltersdorf in Austria.

For the upcoming season, Felix has been assigned the number 22 jersey.
His older brother will most likely be called up by Germany's senior team sooner considering their woeful performance at the Euros. All he needs is a good start for Wolfsburg

Losing 10-3 is a stain on African women's football. Those Zambians have no business being there.

And your useless team is the one more equipped to have a business there ? Talk your talk when you manage to qualify for Tokyo Olympics

Sowore is shameless. I already saw his earlier post where no one even supported him. He thinks hiding behind Sahara Reporters to write another trash, will give him some form of credibility.

Sowore does not need to thrash Aisha Buhari to have credibility. He earned that already with his service.

To be honest, every single soul knows that Sahara Reporters isn't a reputable outlet, whether they admit it or not. It is filled with bias. People only support Sowore and his media whenever what he says, is what they want to hear.

To be honest, life has taught me not to clamour for personnels to be appointed into offices in Naija, sports very much inclusive.

They always turn out to be same or worse than their predecessors.

Looks like the 23 year age bracket for the Olympic male team is no longer in observed. Spain has over 9 players that are above 23 (thought it should be 3 at maximum)?

Their clubs might not even have permitted them to participate. You never can tell.

You are wrong. From Goal, only three over aged players for Spain.

hmmm my guy wetin man go do. Though hypothetical I'm reasonably certain the likes of Chukwueze, Amoo, Maduka etc would have used the olympics to really announce themselves on a global stage. This competition too would have been perfect for Nwakali but hey no use crying over spilt milk. Hope D'Tigers and D'Tigeress can do well until the athletics starts.

I just imagined a youth team coach like Sia one with those players in this Olympics. Like u said. Nwakali would have shown himself to the world. Na big loss all round. The pain in my heart as am watching CIV playing now no be here.
