It has not been canceled, the 2021 budget is proposing they streamline it and get more focus on NOC’s. They’ve asked ppl to update POF and wait. The fact they aren’t giving updates is very annoying but there’s no reason to believe it has been canaceled

Question please... a friend of mine has a step-sibling in Canada. The sibling didn’t Include my friend as her sibling during her application process. But is now offering to give my friend whatever document she needs to claim that they are step siblings. Please Is this acceptable ? The fact that she didn’t mention her as a sibling in her original application.. does it make it impossible for them to claim sibling point now?

Is your NOC regulated? If yes, that may be why. You need to either get licensure for your occupation or get eligibility for licensure.

A friend got invited for 1114 and got nominated after 3 weeks.

They better forget about claiming points before ircc will start investigating the one in Canada for misrepresentation. She clearly committed misrepresentation by not mentioning her sister. Please before y’all argue, there’s a whole court judgement on it. The woman had lived in Canada for almost 10 years or more without declaring her sister on her application. They found about the relationship when her sister filed for refugee status in Canada. The woman was stripped off her status and deported. In conclusion, she better keep up with the lie she started. That’s why they advise people to be completely honest in their applications. Misrepresentation always comes back to bite. What would it have cost her to mention a sister that wouldn’t even affect the outcome of her application in any way?

Yeah. She received ITA in January, received ADR for a revised recommendation letter on February 18 and got nominated on February 23

there are situations like a friend of mine who has 25 siblings but 5 from his mother. Can he list the 25 siblings When he does not have relationship with some or know where they are. What if i only found out about a step sibling after I came to Canada, is that misrepresentation. They can still try with a detailed LOE and evidences.
