The ijaws are the water version of Fulanis. They are not even indigenous to the Niger delta region as their language is not unified nor related to languages in the area. This is an established fact by linguistic studies.

let's look at it this way, in SS region, Rivers state is the most populous with about 7m population while Bayelsa the least is 2.2, if u take the mean score, u will get a figure of 4.6m, multiply that number by 6 and u will come close to the number of people in SS region to be 27m, now let's assume Ijaw which is the most populous tribe in this region takes 20% of the population and this is very much deflated considering they are the most populous, they should take at least 30%, this peg the ijaws in SS only to be around 5.4-8m, now let's add all the ijaws across Nigeria and come to a conclusion, are u sure ijaw is not up to 7m?
