Good evening pilots. My mechanic has changed the shaft gear oil seal of my Camry 2004 for the 3rd time, but the gear oil keep leaking out from the oil seal each time. What could be the problem and how can he tackle the issue. It's become frustrating. Your opinions please. Thank you.

Well, its a good thing you're already thinking and mapping out plans on what to do with your life after graduation and its also applauding you're already an undergraduate enterprenuer, i must say I fancy your courage, enthusiasm and mentality especially in this country Nigeria where there're limited opportunities.

To be honest it not easy getting a job after school even if you're lucky to have one most of them the pay is nothing to write home about, parents are dying in silent after spending their youthful life and money training their children only for them to graduate without a reasonable job... It very sad. Many graduates and undergraduates because of that have resorted to go into internet scam and other unthinkingable and unimaginable crimes like kidnapping, car hijacking among others. A few that were lucky get laid off may be after a few months due to bad government policies, contract jobs, companies folding up and the likes. This and Many more reasons are why most of us are found doing the uber driving job not that we enjoy it, no! But we have to make ends meet and then hope that things gets better with the state of the country for our children growing up even if not for us again because our own parents didn't suffer all of these we are currently being faced.

Yes of a truth you'll make money driving with uber/bolt but another truth is you'll have to put in several hours of your time driving morning till mid night, 5-6days and most time 7days a week. You'll be expose to both good and toxic humans, many will be ungodly while few will be pleasant, among all of these things you'll try to be calm for the sake of your account getting blocked because you wouldn't want to loose your source of earning. Even with the hundreds of thousands you pay as commission to uber/bolt you're still at their mercy because they have thousands of drivers paying even higher commission than you to them. You'll loose interest trying to apply for jobs because you'll have the thinking, how much can an employer pay you? After all I'm grossing 980k monthly driving. You'll loose weight, you won't have time to hang out with friends and family neither would you want to go on holidays because the surge are tempting so you want to be online at all time. You'll start having sight problem after some time because of flashes of light and your eyes being focus all the time...you'll start feeling your legs shake while walking or sitting down due to long hours driving, some will start having pot belle due to late night eat so constipation is inevitable, many will develope hemorrhoid popularly known as pile, late night eating, indigestion and long hours sitting down to drive can cause this this problem... The unfortunate drivers get robbed, get involve in an accident some their cars taken away and sadly a few once lost their lives to either sickness, accident or to car hijackers, never to be found again unless with God's intervention. Yes something must kill a man but people die in their sleep in their old age so why would a man die while on duty or to diagnosed sickness? Sad!

So my dear friend(s)[newbies] these are most of the truths celebrity driver aka cheerfulgiver and many others with little or no knowledge about the hustle won't tell you, know it now b4 making that decision to join the hustle.

Me i go speak my mind, I stand with and not just by the truth. I will die for it! I've lost a lot for this same truth oh but I've gain more than I've lost.

So like I initially advised "the bolt/uber shop is another man's idea" you are already an entrepreneur so think something bigger so you can stand among CEOs and not among celebrity drivers with unrealistic dashboards.

A word is enough for the wise.
just seeing this now sir, thank you for taking your precious time to map this out sir. I'm grateful.

I usually don't bother with stuff like this but here you go (note, this is not a personal opinion but actual corporate mantra in fortune 500 companies):

There are three things most important to an employer- skills, experience and morals. There is an unspoken fourth which I will touch on at the end. A new college graduate likely has two of those- cutting edge skills and hopefully morals.

1) MORALS a new college graduate has not yet learnt bad habits and can be molded to what you want. One who has been out of the workforce for a while is out of the workforce for a reason and has likely learnt things a certain way. you know what they say about an old dog and new tricks

2) SKILLS a recent graduate was taught the new way of doing things. At the rate technology today is evolving, a person out of the workforce for a while is essentially obsolete as they have not been on the cutting edge. Case in point, my fortran knowledge was useless in almost all circles by the time I wanted to rejoin the workforce. Recently, one of my best hires quit. Not because she did not enjoy working for me, but because she realized she was forgetting all her programming knowledge and she was damn good. So she took on a personal project paying her half of what I paid her, but allowing her to continue her primary skill set so she didn't become obsolete. I made her the promise (which she accepted) that once we were ready to employ her skill set- which we would - she was welcome back.

3) EXPERIENCE now this one used to be the coco. However in recent times students work on all sorts of projects and gather all sorts of experience in their fields with side hustles before they ever graduate. So, experience has not been quite as big a deal as it used to be in the past. I will take a hungry recent graduate with the skill set over a "more experienced worker" who is not quite as hungry or eager to prove himself. For example, every single front desk worker I have was employed young, green and hungry to build something together- and I couldn't be happier. I have only one worker who was out of the field for a while (due to motherhood) that I hired for her maturity and I haven't regretted it but I will not make it a habit. She struggles to keep up with the younger ones sometimes but makes up for it with her thoroughness, stability, attention to detail and customer service.

The unspoken one.. COST. FRESH COLLEGE GRADUATES ARE CHEAPER TO KEEP. Many companies after cultivating some young hires will slash their older workforce to save cost. I won't engage in this practice but it is normal practice.

There are some other caveats but I think this is enough.

EDIT: that being said, as a fresh graduate, you have the largest platform and positioning you will EVER have to leap to something great if you play your cards right. Giving that up with plans for Uber is a TERRIBLE idea. As an angel investor, who do you give your money- the young, hungry upstart with fresh ideas or the guy who's been around and couldn't make multiple ideas work? All it takes is two years out of college to be the second guy. Swing for the fences straight out of college and then if that doesn't work, fall back on plan B. While it is said no one ever became wealthy working for someone else, they definitely had a better chance of that working for someone than driving Uber!

NB: I'm not talking down Uber drivers, I'm just saying it was never any of you guys dream to do this for a living as a kid was it?

O7 Camry, sleek, sweet and prestigious. Lol
Just kidding.
Well I can’t really compare to Corolla but I feel Corolla will consume less fuel and parts are cheaper than Camry but for me any Toyota is okay for the hustle provided you don’t drive it anyhow (floods, bad areas, load firewood’s and palm oils inside boot or run AC from morning till night. I see drivers sleeping in car and AC on. Car that will still sleep in 2hrs traffic.

Reason I said I'm my post and I'll say it in another language, the hustle knows how to take you to the deep leaving you there to drown.

Fuckeveryday signed out b4 after few days of driving but now he's back after breaking the bank for his car.

Mrjaydee came back many months after getting a juicy job offer... He was meant to spend his sabbatical swimming grin but no d celebrity dashboard enticed himlile Adam's applegrin for a comeback... Now we don't know where he is at the moment. (Mrjaydee I'm still waiting for the 4k give away o...make I drop my aza? grin u kmow say I dey h ogringrin)

Our oga Pearl1910 the only special one with business sense, i.e accordingly to our gbagada unclegrin has been saying he will hang his boat come December, we all wait to see how that goes.

Ask izzuo he would be honest to say, sometimes I feel tempted coming back.

This hustle enh... It's very deceitful just like a mirage... You'll lost your sense of belonging, focus, plans and if not careful ambition, why? Simply because you're netting 900k per monthgrin
If the little boy in you tries to drag your attention back to you ambitious plans you'll tell him... "Ogbeni las las owo ni koko" grin

- Nobody deserves to drive Uber
- There are better things you can do with your life
- Create a job, and be a CEO
-As a young graduate, you should be applying to well paying job
- Stop being an ant.

Let me give you street update.

* Nobody deserves to stay hungry
*The Nigerian factor, and experience affects everything.

Have you ever met a KPMG graduate trainee, or a Banks graduate trainee? Or your juicy oyel company recruit?

No, they dont work 9am to 5pm. You work 4am to 12am, sometimes, you dont have time for brunch.

You see people getting paid 40k per month, working harder than the above listed group. Have you met all this delivery bike riders, they do such risky job for peanuts, and work into the nights!

This position has been over flogged. Drive with a goal. And a mindset. I am driving for 2 years, and intend to raise 7 million, to fund xo xo and xo hustle. Markus Villig has only one head, started bolt when he was 19, and he is just 28 ,sadly life don score you first goal by being a Nigerian and living in Nigeria. The truth is, you are you! not Villig, you have an idea that keeps you awake, pursue it. Being an ant or working at KPMG will only keep you being an ant. You will never fufill you that way.

There is dignity in Labor, you should never be ashamed of what you do. There is nothing wrong in being a bolt driver! It is rewarding, it puts food on the table! You are a tough guy, That's who a tough guy is, you wake up to drive, show up, and provide for your family. And not everybody is going to be a Zuckerberg.

In all, let's remember this, dissenting views and variety makes the world go round. Respect other peoples opinion. There is no need for the cussing and bad blood, it is too much negative energy.

This life no hard. Be peaceful!

This is the real STREET UPDATE... Not the textbook mechant!!! I will like to read more comment from you...

Actually na catalytic converter be the real name, na wetin dey convert the pollution your vehicle engine releases during combustion . Apart from that it also helps your vehicle gas consumption.

The device usually contain rare earth materials that some people are always ready to buy. So if you use a fraudulent mech, he can harvest the materials and sell it.

My brother it is not too late to change.. They are millions of jobs out there.. From banker, tailor , brick layer, truck driver, plantain seller, police officer , house boy, man etc , security guard, car washer and the list goes on and on..

And better yet if u were able to get that visa appointment online that u are still looking for .. And hopefully USA will grant u visa .. U can than sell that low camry and use the funds to sponsor urself to Yankee......
Mind you yankee no easy . ants are working hard and na every man for himself.. No hands out at all.... Some of return back to naija after only 3months of working like ants inside hot sun and freezing weather...

Most of them said they will rather prefer to beg and ask for hand outs in naija than slave in a white man country.....

And another option is u can use the funds for from that low camry to go back to school.. Education is important and u can get ur masters .. The more masters u get the better for u ...........

Either way u want do am .. Keep in mind you are not getting any younger.....nobody is getting younger.. It is better to slave now as a young man than to slave in ur 50's 60's etc .... Make use of ur time wisely.........

We joke we laugh we cruise etc ...... After all that reality sets in .......make God help us all ........

I wish you nothing but peace and success in life.. I want you to excel in life .. I want u to be able to build a house for u and ur parents... I wish you hard work that comes with success ...

Use peal1910 has a yard stick .. u guys are mates u don't see him ranting and crying.. He is doing well and he is building a future for his kids and family.. His kids will inherit his business not his job.. He is setting up that foundation now .....

Pearl1910 does not have two heads o... So nothing stops you.....

I keep seeing bolt's adverts of making 350k monthly. Please, I want to know how true is it to make 350k driving with bolt and uber. What is the average and the highest amount one can make in a day/week/month and between uber and bolt, which of them pays better. Is it possible to use both uber and bolt.

What you've said is true ma'am , no doubt about it especially the first 2 points. And for employers like yourself, its at your advantage cos these freshers( so to say) are equipped with the most advanced knowledge in their field of study, thereby giving them a higher chance of getting employed. Ma'am, this point is undisputable. However, the big question is: how many job opportunities are available to these recent graduates in Nigeria?

The career labor market in Nigeria isn't designed in a way that it adopts a large number of recent graduates. For example, you employed just one recent graduate for a front desk position. Do you know that there are still thousands who are unemployed but recent graduates? What should those under this category(unemployed) engage in? Please remember that these recent graduates have needs on a daily basis which they need to cater for e.g feeding and transportation in the course of looking for employment. How do you expect them to cope? In civilized countries where the government is interested in the welfare of it's citizenry, your points holds ground and I won't even dispute it. But be honest to yourself, how many of these recent graduates are working with their degrees? How many employment opportunities are open to these fresh grads in Nigeria?

It is due to this lack of employment opportunities that has led to the increase in fraudulent activities like yahoo yahoo for guys and prostitution amongst ladies. This is because they know that without the money or political connections, there's nothing for them. The employment system, espercially within government agencies in Nigeria isn't based on merit thus, fresh grads are opting for alternatives and we can't blame them. OK, what is the assurance that the guy with the 2m would be employed as a fresh graduate in Nigeria? He knew it would be difficult, hence his decision to look for an alternative. He doesn't want to be an (old) grad before making a decision. Again, I do not dispute any of your points but in Nigeria, except you have a strong political connection and/ or some dip pockets to buy job slots, then you get a job irrespective of whether you are a recent and/or advanced graduate.

Modified
Damn, I never knew you were a Lady. My bad, sincere apologies ma'am.

Acknowledged but I never said getting a job was his best or only option.

A word is enough for the wise.

One line of positive and a hundred lines of negative.
Honestly, I didn't read this ur post. I tot someone was just jesting when I saw pile, eyesight etc...
Now that I have gone back to read it, let me ask u, have u experienced all these sicknesses and ailments u typed here or u heard drivers' experience?
Cos I really want us to stick to truths...same truths u have sworn to die for.
Here u are advising someone, it wouldn't be nice if u are garnishing and decorating it with unfound stories and outright falshood. Or maybe u r joking.
Then this N2m decision may be based on a lie or a jest.

This is very difficult to swallow.
The Ants won’t like this,
It’s too long for some older graduate to read

I wish I saw this in 2019, I wouldn’t have registered my low mileage Camry in bolt/Uber.

Mama you killed it.

Whatever anybody says after this they are right ?

Thanks boss.

Never said I will hang boot o. Make I get like 10 cars first. 300k a week grin until I can get what I make if I drive myself then maybe I fit rest.
