Everybody on this thread needs to watch this. The best off-pitch performance I've ever seen by a Nigerian.

What is this one saying?

Is it not the same Rohr that has refused to address our midfield deficiencies?? Is it not the same Rohr that sees how depleted we are in the middle yet he chooses to act like there is no issue? Well, now we have no choice but to play without the regulars. Had Rohr had the sense to consider cases of "unavailability" to certain regulars in mind, we would not be facing this challenge.

And please read with understanding. It is inevitable that we would parade new Midfield partners alongside Aribo. I am only interested in seeing who Rohr calls up in the middle especially as he refused to address the issue all this while.

Honestly, you are just here defending nonsense. This is on Rohr as well and he must act. We wait.

P.S: And we have uncapped lads that can come in and still perform. Okocha and Oruma are retired okay. So your reference to them is baseless.

Alhassan Yusuf is technically better than Etebo and a more natural midfielder
Kelechi Nwakali is there.
Also, Obinna Nwobodo is there.
In fact, Adewale Oladoye is a sensational defensive midfielder who with time may bench Ndidi as his progress is rapid.
Rohr should try there players. I don't see any problem happening.
The problem with Rohr is that he is not too intelligent

This post is laughable! Kuku take them Ola.. & other carpenters to AFCON! This is why the country is not progressing. We don't appreciate what we have until we lose it!

very predictable bunch of elderlies from FlexEnd Junction. Cos he spoke the truth? Smh! Seems the new way to focus on club career is going to be dissing NFF/ saying things the way the are, especially on the face of upholding mediocre. We should commend Rohr for sticking up. He has his own issues but NFF are really ruining lots of things that makes us think its all Rohr.

Honestly a lot of things are wrong with this current NFF, they can't even organise a decent stadium for SE friendlies. A lot of our games recently have been played in shitty academy training grounds or 5th division pitches in Europe. Things weren't this way in the mid 2000s and early 2010s

Rorh is not working on our midfield but he brought onyeka and Aribo out nowhere which shows the man is always thinking but we don't have the talent he can easily picked from all we have are bang average and underdeveloped players and most of the midfielder u guys mentioned here are not national team quality

He didn't bring Onyeka and Aribo out of nowhere. We knew about them here before he brought them into the team. Stop that rubbish Capping.

Also, when he did give Onyeka his first cap he did it playing the lad out of position alongside a Semi Ajayi (as DM). He didn't even know how to utilise Onyeka.

Also, bringing them in does not solve the creativity issues in the middle. We are still in need of genuine ball playing Midfielders and that can't be said enough.

And you speak fallacies. So the likes of young and fast rising Alhassan Yusuf, Kelechi Nwakali, Abbas Ibrahim or even Tosin Kehinde are not decent national team prospects??

Please when Aribo made his debut, was he balling in the EPL or in La Liga? Is he still not in Scotland? Onyeka nko? He was still at FCM when he made his debut.
You are just here defending Rohr's failure to address our midfield issues. Capping up and down. Nothing more.

Bonke Innocent (DM) would be in the UCL group stage with Malmo FF.

He and Malmo overcame Ludogorets Razgrad 3-2 on aggregate (won 2-0 at home before narrowly losing 2-1 today).

He played all 90mins.

Adewale Oladoye is a very good talent no doubt and carries lots of promise but still has a long long long way to go before he thinks of benching an Ndidi in the Super Eagles.

I agree Alhassan Yusuf is technically and tactically better than Etebo but lad is still growing plus Etebo remains one of the key Midfielders with his WC and Afcon experience. He's genuinely battle hardened.

Kelechi Nwakali remains a newbie to the team if called up and would have to prove himself.

Obinna Nwobodo as well. Good player but would have to show himself big. I don't normally consider the Turkish league except in a few cases of genuine quality or if a player features for one of the big four of Turkey. Nwobodo is of the former for me.

Also, there are a few others to consider like Innocent Bonke (DM) and Vincent Onovo (DM, who just joined Randers FC and was called up late during the last international window).

The Revised Expanded list

The Selected Midfielders for Cape Verde will very likely come from this List:

- Shehu Abdullahi (Omonia Nicosia, Cyprus)

- Joel Obi (Salernitana, Italy)

- Alhassan Yusuf (Royal Antwerp FC, Belgium)

- Kelechi Nwakali (SD Huesca, Spain)

- Tosin Kehinde (Randers FC, Denmark)

- Obinna Nwobodo (Goztepe, Turkey)

- Innocent Bonke (Malmo FF, Sweden)

- Kingsley Michael** (Bologna, Italy)

- Marcus Ayomide Abraham** (Feirense, Portugal)

- Vincent Onovo (Randers FC, Denmark)

- Azubuike Okechukwu* (Sivasspor, Turkey)

Note:

**Yet to play a game in 21/22 season as at today.

*Unsure.

Also, Joe Aribo is a sure bet in the absence of anything keeping him out.

Raphael Onyedika Nwadike: fine player but I don't think he is in the picture just yet.

Adewale Oladoye: Still early days.

Akinkunmi Amoo: Still early days as well.

Belgium Pro League is now backwater? Alhassan just moved up from Sweden to Belgium and he is still just 21. Is he wasting away there?

Belgium's Jupiler Pro League is reputably one of the finest talents-discovery leagues in Europe. And before the latest leagues ranking will come into effect ahead of 2022, is sitting above Scotland (where we have Aribo) on the Euro Leagues coefficients rankings in terms of league strength and quality.

Adewale Oladoye too is in Belgium and just turns 20 today (August 25). He's wasting away there abi?

Kelechi Nwakali turned 23 in June and is finding his feet again in La Liga Smartbank, arguably the best technically proficient 2nd tier league on the planet. He's doing well there.

Mister Isan, I hope you understand what a joke and "wasting away" truly mean. grin

Then CAF should take the game away from Cape Verde!
Football is not table tennis, you can't expect the players that have never played together before to beat a team like Cape Verde on astroturf in Cape Verde with just 3 days of training.
This is how we underestimated Angola away from home in 2005 and lost by a single goal which eventually cost us the 2006 world cup ticket.
The NFF needs to put pressure on CAF to take the game to a COVID-free country.
We will lose scandalously without our EPL boys!

Cape Verde is on the UK red list..they aren't necessarily on every country's red list.... Covid is here to stay...we just have live with it..

Asking CAF to take the game away from cape Verde is asking them to take the qualifier games from many country on the UK red list.... CAF already postponed the qualifiers enough...We are almost behind schedule...a postponment is no longer feasible...

Any country that know it's onions should be able to perform well in the qualifier without it's best players...

Takes effect fully as we approach (and when we enter) 2022 but yes, it is so with general respect to the new 2021/22 season.

Quite different from what was seen in 2020/21.

Mister, the midfield talents are there but Rohr chooses to keep ignoring them. He invited an Abraham Marcus from Portuguese 2nd tier to come play Midfield for us. A lad who plays predominantly as a Winger or Second striker for his club, Feirense and you are here saying "if Rohr thinks any of them is our solution bla bla bla....."

Was Marcus Abraham a solution?? Why did Rohr invite him then??

You and Rohr obviously share one thing in common. No further words needed. Keep capping rubbish in his defense.
