Governor Obiano just arrived from Abuja with his wife at Anambra International Cargo and Passnger Airport, Umueri. Anambra international airport is the best airport east of the Niger and the international gateway to the eastern Nigeria. Cool I Have Transformed Anambra State With Proper Infrastructure…Governor Obiano 6 Likes

The grand opening of the 4 days long Nnewi New Yam Festival happened yesterday. It was epic as Nnewi did it differently this time as the event featured so many dance groups, cultural presentations, wrestling etc. The great Ajọ ọfia Nnewi masquerade was live too. afube: I still dont think we understand optics lol, but it was crazy that you would have these cities like Aba and the only image of them for decades online would be a dead body, pothole or pile of trash. But we are farrrrr from understanding optics. I think Igbo ppl in particular aren't adept to understanding the importance of optics |

Ofodirinwa: too true! sad really, The mayor of the small town I reside in the US almost got impeached for changing the "Town Logo", they said the new logo was too modern and snazzy........they forced him to bring back the Old conservative logo. We are a hardworking and progressive people and we should be able to project that image to the world especially to the Igbo and African diaspora. We really have a lot of work to do....i pray a Soludo administration will change that narrative.......if he wins o! 3 Likes |

Saw the carousel being installed. The Governor said the three fire-trucks have been paid for and are being built to specification, so should arrive the country soon. He said three escalators and three lifts are to be installed as well. The airport has been linked up to the recently launched power substation to guarantee electricity supply to the airport. He also reiterated that the project was done without the state gov't borrowing a kobo, while not shirking its other financial obligations like salary payments, etc. He rounded up by saying anyone asking silly question like 'why he landed in the brand new airport'....if it's vexing them that much they can go and build their own! All in all, a informative update! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jl2kZqJfDjc 6 Likes 1 Share |

PROUDIGBO: I just LOVE how he said, those asking why I should land in Anambra airport should build their own and land on it. As if it's that easy Clearly referring to some disgruntled politicians that hoped and prayed the airport would not be completed so that they will make it an election issue. Unfortunately for them, it was completed by a warrior Akpokue dike GLOBAL!! Lol.... There is serious gnashing of teeth about this feat right now. lol.. No wonder they crawl out here every night to write some silly mischief how Chicago O'hare airport is a bigger airport than Anambra. Forgetting to compare Chicago O'hare to even Abuja International which is the flagship of the nation. What is so hard about commending one who has performed excellently in office? With carousel and furniture in place, the airport would soon open for commercial flights. Even if its only daytime flights for now, until all the equipment are installed. 10 Likes 1 Share

InternalAuditor: Obiano has really outperformed even the most hard-working governors. I'm still shocked how he pulled this off while still paying salaries and maintaining services. The Vice President was there two days ago to commission a huge electricity sub-station he built and the giant shoe plant he built in partnership with CBN. 10 Likes 1 Share |

OreMI22: I don't blame him for challenging them to go and build their own if they think this truly modern international airport by every standard is a small achievement. Since 1982, Anambra state airport in Onitsha/Oba had been on the pipeline of so many regimes. Yet, none had the guts to dare doing it. Even when the economy was much better then. In fact, the need of an Anambra airport close to Onitsha was so great that Gov. Uduaghan took the opportunity of the unseriousness of Anambra governors to build an airport and he built the Asaba airport. In fact, those questioning why Obiano should land in a virtually completed airport should tell us how they plan to build other infrastructure that Anambra desperately needs and stop their wasting time blaming someone he did excellently well in government. Infrastructures like: 1. Anambra light-rail project 2. Anambra / Orient Petroleum Refinery 3. Anambra / Nestoil gas-to-power independent power plants 4. New Anambra International market 5. Onitsha River port. We all know a typical southeast governor prefers to give one school computer or sink one borehole in one market as their total legacy achievement. Obiano was the first to dare building 3 massive flyovers to change the face of Awka amongst many other massive achievements he recorded. Nobody can say in all honesty that Obiano isn't a true warrior that dares the most seemingly impossible projects and somehow manages to accomplish them. He deserves every right to brag about his achievements and i like how he challenged those criticizing him to go and build something tangible too if its that easy to do. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

You are totally correct. Even Soludo will understand that that bar has been raised. We have now passed the period of mediocre projects as legacy projects. cjrane: 5 Likes |

real1000: Why are you crying? Did he or Did he not start and complete 3 massive flyovers in Awka ? I know a southeast governor that has been building a single flyover in Aba for 6.5 years now. Yet, its not completed. Even oil-producing state governors except for Wike never came close to such achievement within his first 3 years in office. Only Dave Umahi comes close to the types of structures that Obiano built. That is why despite Umahi's recent misbehavior, i bite my tongue in criticizing him because he was another great achiever. 7 Likes 1 Share

cjrane: Thank you for acknowledging the bond but if those flyovers obiano construct is massive like you said, why is it creating hold ups instead of solving them? What stops tankers from going through the massive flyovers like they're doing with wike and umahi flyovers? Or is that what massive means in aboard that you stay? 4 Likes |

One thing that is certain in life is that you can never please everyone. The harder you try, the harder you fail. You people will keep shouting Awka doesn't look like a state capital, and turn around to condemn the only project that sort to uplift that status of the city. You will always hear "tanker cannot move on top". Rubbish statement. Majority of the bridges in Lagos are not open to articulated vehicles. Yet no one is condemning them. But ones it's Anambra, you people will jump out and start constituting nuisance. As for traffic, it will still continue to happen till more flyovers are built, one at Regina, and another at the same Aroma. They are all in the pipeline. real1000: 5 Likes |

gordonbarrett: Sir constructing another flyover at Regina will not solve the problem at Aroma flyover. Aroma flyover and amawbia flyover have worst design. Do you see the entrance of the flyover?

Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by imaxdocuments: 3:13pm On Aug 27, 2021 |
Stop embarrassing yourself, the designs are ok and it is serving its purpose for which it was built. The flyover at Arroma has 2 entrances and it is serving well. [s] real1000:[/s] 3 Likes |

Yes I also believe that the design could have been better, in terms of traffic flow. But it doesn't warrant outright condemnation of those flyovers. A flyover at Regina will significantly reduce the traffic at Aroma. Also, another after Aroma, which has the elevations naturally set, as shown in the picture will solve the problem. These and more will help make Awka a mordent city, with great aesthetic appeal. real1000: 8 Likes
