Good evening everyone...I just need a good advice about my Toyota Camry 09 Hybrid that I intend giving my neighbor to use for Uber work. The vehicle is in it's best working condition and very clean. I just need to know the percentage I can be getting and how this thing works. Will I have access to his uber account or how does this work. A good advice from experience driver please. Thank you |

Reubenson3: Abort mission bros! I repeat abort mission!! Should you do any business at all with a close person either relative, friends, neighbours or associates make it cash and carry otherwise you put your relationship with that person on a high risk. Drive your car yourself when ever you're free. Sell it outrightly to him, or Better still dash him the car. EgetWhy o 22 Likes 1 Share |

Felicity0001: Thanks and I really appreciate your view. We're not close, is more of an employment. And for the fact that my vehicle will always be parked in my compound after the day work. I just need a good insight on the percentage to be getting weekly and how it works. Please put me through 2 Likes |

Reubenson3: Btw 20 to 25k weekly. For HP: he will pay upfront of say btw 200 to 400. You will prepare agreement, which will contain Penalties for payment failure, how much to pay weekly, the duration of the HP, repairs( he should do all minors and you do major) that's just about it sha 1 Like 1 Share |

Reubenson3: If you have made up your mind giving out the car already...ensure you put the following into contract and validated by both party signatory. 1. Weekly remittance...30k 2. Clearly indicate who will handle repairs ....don't just say repair from from 10k or things like that....ensure repair conditions is well stated.. 3. Clearly outline who will handle maintenance of the car and how. 4. Having the car parked in your compound is a positive for you... All the best. 3 Likes |

Weekly on a hybrid should be 40k. Anything less, you're cheating yourself. |

CheerfulGiver:Why? I am sure you have not used a hybrid car before, if so you won't say this. |

I wonder how what you think about a hybrid car, maybe the driver won't be buying fuel at all. |

Reubenson3:The car is okay from what we can see but It's best you heed the advice of Mr CheerfulGiver and Felicity. Outright HP is better for your sanity. However,If you decide on rentals, then adopt the statements of IFSHR. 1 Like |

CheerfulGiver: That was my first mistake. Gave out the vehicle to a friend, had to withdraw it and I'm glad I did. Lost one week rental in the process but I would have lost more had I left it with him. Current driver is doing well so far. I have no affiliations whatsoever with him. 1 Like |

CheerfulGiver: Lol, if matter no work well...na my car na... I'll withdraw it from him. The fact is that I'm always busy and hardly drive...more reason why I want the car working instead of sitting in a spot for long. More of the reason I seek knowledge from the experienced drivers...and I don't think that is a bad idea either 1 Like |

Hi folks, My brother just got a Toyota Corolla Sport & he has tasked me to manage it for him. Please, if you know anyone reliable & honest in his dealings living around ikeja, Ogba, iyana ipaja , Egbeda ,Dopemu, Shasha, Agege, Mangoro or Maryland, who is in need & ready to put in the work. Kindly refer them to me. The T&C below are flexible enough: 27,000 is the rental fee. 1hr car Inspection would be done once every 3weeks. 1guarantor & signed agreement with an armed force ( i am taking no chances). Driver would foot repair bills less than 5k but not without my consent. We have an experienced family -friend mechanic who will oversee the repair history & guide us. Offline trips within Lagos, Yes. (You can do anyhow but no use my Egbon motor carry cow or Palm oil drum ) Offline outside Lagos, we would sit & have a discussion about this. If you decide to take one way route, park on Zebra crossing at the Airport or beat traffic lights & get apprehended, i would retrieve the car immediately. Don't refer shady people to me , as i am going to be hands-on. 1 Like

Gentlelife50:You're right. Fair price for a Camry hybrid should be 35,000 not 40,000. I mixed up calculations with a Toyota Prius which should be 40,000 A 2006 Camry big daddy uses a similar 2.4l engine, but consumes 21mpg of fuel in city driving, while the hybrid does, 33mpg. They both have a 18.5 gallon tank capacity, or 70liters. MPG = Miles Per Gallon. Gallon = approximately 3.8liters of fuel An average hardworking driver, (emphasis on hardworking) drives 1000miles a week. If big daddy uses 21mpg, a full tank in city driving is worth 21*18.5 = 388miles Therefore, an average driver should use 47.65 gallons of fuel a week, or 47.65 x 3.8liters = 181.07 liters of fuel. 181.07 liters x 163 naira per liter is 29,514 naira per week. Camry hybrid uses 33mpg, a full tank in city driving is worth 33*18.5 = 610.5miles Therefore, an average driver should use 30.33 gallons of fuel a week, or 30.33x 3.8liters = 115.24 liters of fuel. 115.24liters x 163 naira per liter is 18,786 naira per week. If a driver saves 10k weekly on fuel, he can add it to his rental without doing extra work. 7 Likes 1 Share |
