Things may have changed sha...
I stopped waiting in Ikoyi for over a year now...lastma and local government boys too helped in pushing drivers away. I just drop off and move, sometimes I get a trip before I cross any of the bridges, but I don't bank on it.

I don't park on any of those roads highlighted o. Na lastma and towing van zones. I cruise slowly 40-50max. By the time I don circle like twice, request go show. I only park in the inner inner streets in ikoyi.

Nice analysis. It's good you referenced my earlier posts. Though you didn't mention the car suggestions in that post. I'll continue from where you stopped, even though I have other pathways, I'll use yours.

At the end of year one, rental guy has 1.5m and decides to buy a Kia Rio. A Kia Rio is way less than 1.5m.

You dare not doubt the reliability of the Kia Rio or it suitability for the job. I'll refer you to a post made by Carshopper who has a fleet of Kia Rios, going strong for him years after.

https://www.nairaland.com/2653841/uber-partner-lagos-please-share/389#63793821

If Carshopper can see this, please can you tell us how your Kia cars are doing now, 4yrs down d line.

Or anyother person who has used/owns the Kia Rio for more than 4yrs actively on Ehailing.

Or a driver who drives a Kia and knows that d car has been used for more than 4yrs on ehailing.

Please, I want to check something.

My guy you are doing well. We all had our bad experiences when we started. You will learn the remaining on the job, just stay strong and positive.
When I tell people not to resign to join d hustle they say na pessimist.
This is reality not dashboard. You make money , you save some and use some for repairs and maintenance.

But you will surely make more money than staying at home doing nothing especially with your own car.

Plsss if you are at home in this rain just stay at home and be enjoying your life, mainland is flooded already, I don’t know about island

Thanks bro! I’m home, only doing destination trips to Victoria Island today.

You must be very dumb to think only drivers on HP do interstate trips. Whatever a guy on HP does, a rental guy can do with lesser pressure and expenses. If a guy can stick to a car on HP for 2 years, what makes you think that same guy if he had chosen rental won't drive a rental for just one year?

You type before thinking and you type without thinking.

Can you see how blinded you're? You're bias and hypocritical mindset as so clouded your mind and blinded your eyes to an extent you even don't see to read to understanding if my words so you end up twisting my words not once neither twice. Ewu!

How would one like you without brain even understand me or my ways?! No way.

Haven't you heard right here where a lot of partners has kicked against or retrieved their cars from drivers who used their cars outta Lagos for a trip even when nothing of such was stated on the rental agreement? Fufu!

Recently, a car was posted here for rent and the mgr clearly stated it how discussion ought to be made should the driver has any outta state trip, you didn't see that too?

I understand why most partners are against interstate trips... But i won't dive into that because it a whole lot to talk about so let's leave that topic for other time.

An hp driver don't have to take permission from anybody to travel anywhere. Besides, I didn't even make an exception with that statement. So tell me who is the dumb person here? You off course.

Now, referring to your mention on pearl1910's analysis... Just imagine how quickly you shifted the goal post from 2006 corolla to Kia Rio, how shameful of you. How dare you compare a Toyota to a Kia? See no try that tin next time ooohgrin stick to the point you raised. Abi u think say ma children dey this thread?

If the Kia is that good na him you no buy am to gross 200k or 150k weekly? If the rental guy saves up to get one and after 3 or 6months of use he has a change of whole engine and transmission to contend with because the seller has probably used the entire lifespan of the engine so he's selling all the troubles to the rental guy where do you then expect him to get money to buy a new engine?
Last year either ghost1910 or there about had to drive with moove to raise some money for replacement of his engine... Mind you the hp guy guy already finish payment of his 2006 Toyota Corolla. Worst case he uses his savings to buy a new engine and the same car can give him another car after 1year. Ask pearl1910 he'll tell you more.... So what nonsense are you talking about here? You say na goat like you u dey talk with self... Young man be calming down oh.

You know why I don't like engaging you in a discussion? You lack deep analytical and technical understanding how things work, yes you've may have the reliquisite experience but bringing them together with technical, analytical and risk evaluation to get a profine result is your major problem. Reason you should listen when people with better brain talk and analyze things okay. Stu.pid boy!

Even the guy on HP who is working to offset payment for a 2006 TC can also afford to buy another car after 18months of a standard hp payment tenor and by that time he's having two cars where as the guy on rental can only boast of one why the other belongs to his partner who has already recovered his principal and even profit all in 18months. So why are you making it look as if the guy on hire is not having an extra savings.

In a nutshell, a HP is far better when compared to a rental because after factoring in the risk of partnership in a rental slash risk associated with savings while on rentals any reasonable person would agreed that a hp is far better than a rental in many ways

Car is Still sharp.

Now, If Rental guy plans to buy Kia Rio then u should have used same car for HP guy. That way he wouldn't pay 35k/week or use 2yrs to pay up his HP.

So now at the end of year 2
t

All things being equal, Rental guy is better off
.
End of discussion.

If you are billed a SC above 250k for a studio apartment, it is in your own interest you ask what it covers.

SC typically covers security bills, waste disposal, water treatment, evacuation of soak away if need be, cleaning of the compound...etc. If you have two levels of security checkpoints leading to your house, that is security bills 2x.

If SC is as high as 900k, then I would expect them to at least give me power all through the night, 7 days a week. How they do it, be it solar, generator or from Kainji Dam is not my business.

I like houses that take SC and deliver. No need for individual noisy generators. They handle everything while you face wetin carry you come Lagos.

I can imagine. But it still beats my imagination seeing some drivers run their AC inside water. I believe it is either ignorance or trying to please their riders at the expense of their car. Me, any small water like this, my AC don turn off.

Yes u can provided d documents are valid and up-to-date. Only problem u might have is if hackney permit becomes compulsory...u can't use other states hackney permit in Lagos and u can't do Lagos hackney permit on other states plate number.

though it is advised to switch off ur ac when passing water, how long will u wait for it to dry B4 putting it on? That is the wahala also. Most switch it on immediately, water trapped inside will still damage the system. Also ur condenser can have some debris trapped in it and it blocks the system.
What can one do in such situation?
Make we begin list roads with Noah's flood here, so that others will learn. At least, it Should be updated weekly.
