Try and check the road through Gmap after a heavy rain if you are on d Island. Don't go and bury your car in a pool.
It's your car, your tool, you are 100% responsible for it.
Avoid these streets.
Baale street,
alpha Beach road,
Otunba Murphy adetoro.
Ugochukwu duru.
Agungi ajiran
Thomas estate. N others.

Congrats on your new job...

The only reason u would have retained that car is if it was HP... Remitting 30k working weekend only isn't worth the stress as there is no benefit to u except u need it for other runs that fetches good money enough to pay the rentals conveniently.

Jejely drop d car.

Jejely drop a car dt can net you 100k easily, every week and pick a job of 170k per month.

Is dis pearl1910 or hacker ?

For your low mileage Camry it will go and come back for sure but you know the way they say it at crusade "your life(car) will never remain the same again ". Guy abort mission jejely, after Agbara just start singing Jim Reeves "This world is not my own I'm just passing through...".

Modified. Driving after work and on weekends to remit minimum of120k per month is unsustainable. Even if rental is reduced to 25k weekly. He should find another side hustle.

My prayer for him is that he quickly grows to a level in his career where he won't have to be driving Uber on weekends to meet his bills. Weekend when man suppose to dey rest. undecided

I dey tell ooh

Any job that can command 170k for dis buhari reigem no b here o such an opportunity needs maximum commitment and attention.

Supposed it's a hp that he's already committed himself to for more than 6months e for better reason I first advice he returns d car to its owner. No sense in a rental deal of 25k/wk because d car won't be optimally used for the original purpose its meant for even of the owner is responsible for 100% maintenance self... I'm only trying to be balance...

Best option is drop the car.

My greatest strength as a person has always been, the ability to quickly understand and accept that a certain stage as come to an end and then a new beginning as started, forgetting whatever glittering attractions that may want to drag me back.

The best route is going through 3rd mainland bridge to link airport road then to lasu road and enter the badagry road from igbo- elerin , the road is in a very bad state. Charge what will cover the damages the road will cause to your car legs, and hope your car have a high ground clearance if not your exhaust pipe won't remain the same.

Lolz...the guy is in d business already, and from his gist he prefers the job.
But he is thinking he can keep d car and flex with it. Not knowing the work for the rentals money will not allow him time to flex the car. Cos he definitely can't make his rentals with to and fro trips Monday to Friday. So most definitely him go enter road on Saturday and maybe Sunday again. It's not worth d stress... It will tell on him and maybe the job and for what? When it's not that he is sacrificing to earn d car.
So I am advising him based on his choice. If he was asking which he should take, d advise may have been different. After asking further questions.

At the end it's all man for himself.

Very true. Let's call a spade a spade. You can't eat your cake and still have it. There is no point taking the car on rentals when you have a full time job already, if it was his own car no problem. How is he going to remit weekly rentals just driving to and fro to work. Then weekends when you suppose refresh body and soul for the new week you go dey road just trying to make money for your partner. We don't even know how demanding the full time job will be. Body and mental stress go tell on am.you go finish your daily job come enter road dey hustle to pay rental. Haba!!!

Don't dare it bro, I went to that side 2 Sundays ago, Omo that place is the capital of bad road in Lagos even though I stopped at Mowo(few km from Badagry) nd I went through Isheri to link Igbo-Elerin, going from Island is another problem sef cos they are fixing road before and after Lasu back gate Nd there are diversions that can lost you if you aren't careful... Imagine traffic coupled with extremely bad roads... undecided

. Like @felicity said set destination when leaving the house every morning, your closing hours will most likely give you a surge trip, while you use the weekends to meet your deliverery -target .

All in all I don't think you should return the car because you don't know if you will be working on long or short term, sometimes it's difficult to get a car. All the best.

Knowing naija hustle, a job thay pays him 170k per month will likely consume his saturdays as well

Thank you all for your quick counsel.
Una don crack me up finish.
I brought this couples from airport MM2 to lekki phase 1, I went to pick them at arrival with umbrella and the husband was shocked that I wasn’t wet, so I showed them the escalator and bypass to car park without going into the rain.
He offered to give me 500 naira for parking, I declined that it’s part of the bill.
MM2 to lekki phase 1. On 1.9surge , they paid and still tipped me untop.
They came from abroad to tour&vacation.
So they want to go visit badagry and asking how much I will take for to n fro.

With this multitude of counsel I will stylishly about mission, I like my low mileage Camry before I earn 30k and spend 25k on repairs plus fake parts everywhere.

Above all I’m a lazyD I can’t kee myself.

Guy bill them and go...no shaking road bad wella but u will go and come. It's just a small part of the journey that's the very bad portion.
Use that surge trip mentality give them price. If they can pay 7k plus tip again for MM2 to Lekki then they should be able to pay 60k to and fro Badagary. Pass Igando side burst out for Okoko.
Since u r a lazy driver grin when u come back u sleep for three days and let your car rest too. Instead of Waka Waka inside town and Lekki flood. If u no wan go give me the link abeg...

I am contemplating using my Car for Bolt/ Uber, a Honda Civic 09.
I live on the mainland and work on the island, so I always drive to and from work alone on weekdays.

I would like to start Bolt/ Uber as a side hustle, that is, just 2 trips per weekday (no weekend trips), one in the morning when going to work and one in the evening when coming back from work. I will look for riders going close to my location to avoid stress.

Please I would like to know if the money raised from at least 6 weekday trips per week is sufficient to fuel my car and take care of other minor repairs.
Also, will BOLT/UBER permit me to do this, as I'm not into it full time and I will be having a low volume of trips on a weekly basis.

Your contributions will be very welcome, thanks
