owagbeba: He claims that there exists another cctv footage of him in a different location with a different attire at the time of the crime. He also claimed that there’s a proof that he was on a phone call with his doctor when the crime was going on and that he will forward these evidences to Chatinent. The thing is, if such evidences exist how come they weren’t tendered in the court? And until those evidences are posted here I’m afraid your observations is the most likely thing that happened. |

Powerhouse5050: @OP, If you remember my first post to this case.I said you should tell us the story yourself. It saves you from integrity check. You are now giving us the story in bit.You never mention purchasing any car in your initial post. Some of us might put you on the spot by our questions and cross examination, we are only working with the facts available to us.If you have given us your itinerary from Japan to US,till the time of arrest, it would have helped us. Since you are very sure of your innocence, let a legal person put all your evidences together. Please remember no black man will be happy to see a fellow black man sentenced for what he didn't do.Nobody hate you here.I don't pray this to happen to my enemy when he is innocent. Best of luck. 13 Likes |

JayEntaur: Answers Answers : Yes the attacker could have changed into something else however what I am fighting for is the video that showed the attacker in khaki short. We need to see the identity of the attacker first before we get worried if had changed clot or not The video that showed men has time on it and that picture was taken from the video I can prove 2 footage does exist but the prosecutor only released one footage and that was the footage that showed me, so where is the second footage that showed the man in khaki short..... The complex has 4 different cameras at different locations About phone calls YES The evidence I will share showed TIME,START TIME,END TIME DURATION,NUMBER DIALED AND SHOWED CALL SUCCESSFUL. Please wait till I attach this cell phone record . About people who were say in I pled guilty can they show any record to prove that? 5 Likes 1 Share |

hamjola: True talk. It's difficult to piece everything together and get a clearer picture if it's all presented in fragments and haphazardly. Like you said none of us wish evil for the op. I doubt JD wishes him evil as well and I am sure she too would not want to see a fellow brother rot away in jail if he is indeed innocent. I am also happy the op is reading law books as well on how to better defend himself and to get a better understanding of the US justice system. It shows in some of his posts. I really hope for a good outcome from this if he really has been unjustly sentenced. We all do. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Ola17: The evidences does exist, they were part of the discovery released by the prosecutor, my defense attorney had it on the table, I was looking at it,check it until it was time to present it to the court, he had a discreet conversation with the prosecutor right inside court with the jury watching and after that he returned to the defence table without present in it to the court. I protested but I was shut down 1 Like |

chatinent: Because I like you, I’ll give you a bit of food for thought. If you are accused of entering a code on a keypad to enter a laundry,, what might provide more proof? Footage taken from a distance or your fresh fingerprints lifted from the keypad via a forensic investigator? Please, do not respond to me as I am only giving you food for thought. 4 Likes |

Powerhouse5050: So in essence, you are hinging your innocence on the inability of the prosecutors to prove that you are the one on tan colored khaki shorts? Is that correct? 5 Likes |

Powerhouse5050:It seems the Judge and Jury that followed you from your village to the US of A has shyed away from all these questions. I'll advise you to present your case as truthfully as you can, so as you'll not quench the desire for justice many of us seek in reference to your unimaginable ordeal. Be strong and bold. That's the only way out. |

Justwise please can we get this very thread to the front page tomorrow for a greater reach? We will continue doing our part but I believe there are other Nigerians in Nigeria or diaspora with the know how that can join us in better understanding this case and bringing up a winnable defence if the need arises. Okay guys this chap needs to sleep for the office tomorrow |

1stGenAmerican: Thanks for liking me. I like you too and that's why I am moved to respond. Permit me to rephrase... If you are accused of entering a code on a keypad to enter a laundryI appreciate the way you started. It says “if I was accused....” If I did do it, I feel, upon seeing the evidences or merely thinking forensic research would be conducted, I'd plead guilty to lessen the burden of the law. Do you know where it would hurt me? If I didn't do it yet sb is saying I did. It would hurt me more if some insider who I shook hands with extracted my prints and gave as evidence...and the whole world now concentrates on those facts. It is not them to blame. It is what they saw. But if I told them I wasn't the one? What if I requested footage to show I was never there at that particular time? The maxim nemo iudex in sua causa will so limit me because it seems I am the only one who knows my innocence. After all, I cannot be a judge in my own case. It would hurt me more if some people who could help don't really want to examine my facts but are keen on just checking the facts provided by the court. Remember, in law, facts may be wrong or right. In another case, I have seen a jury say a dismembered human hand that was clearly visible to everyone was a monkey's limb. I have also seen a case where evidences point to the accused that he doesn't know what else to say because all he got was himself who knew he didn't do it. Back to your epistle, if I didn't strike those tabs on the keyboard...yet being convicted, don't you think I'd rather die trying to free myself? What if it all turned out that on the verge to protect sb, everything was planned out so I fit in very well? What if after many many years, the court finds out I am innocent and some parts were falsified? Would those people who followed the evidences provided that looked so real give me back my life spent in prison? Let's assume I really did commit the crime and I am fighting for it. Don't you think it's important to allow me to fight to no avail since it will end in the same sentence? In everything, I am the only one who knew whether or not I struck the keyboard. Set-ups can make it look like me. A corrupt cop can make it look like me. A bribed forensic expert can make it look like me. But if I didn't, with perseverance not minding what people say, I would yearn to prove my innocence right...even if it will take years..yeah? How would I feel when sb who is believing just the facts from the implicating party strongly thinks I should be jailed when they could help see my facts first? I think I will feel better knowing sb wants to revisit my matter, check things themselves, and allow all my doubts cleared. Don't respond. Think it through. 25 Likes 4 Shares |

1stGenAmerican: I don't follow the books. I follow the reality. I would give a case but it isn't important. Facts are based on theories. Evidences build up facts. I can prove fact to what it has been when it becomes what it is at present. What happens when the family of the ingredients of facts isn't all right or all wrong but is absorbed one-sided? 7 Likes 1 Share |

chatinent:If I may sincerely ask sir, is there anything wrong in the appeal the OP is seeking of? I meant legally and globally? If I go by the premise of certain individuals on this forum; it means it's a sin or illegal for a convict to appeal a sentence? Moreover, is there any place on earth where rape, aggravated assault and sodomy, including death threats can warrant three life sentences, in addition to 76 years of confinement? Wow...... 2 Likes 1 Share |

chatinent: Ignoring all of those who resort to name-calling and insults because their lack of intelligence bars them from discourse, I want to touch upon a question you asked me. The prints were lifted directly from the keypad within an hour of the crime being committed, before they even identified or apprehended the suspect. So what you stated was that it is possible that the convicted man shook hands with someone and that person did not sweat, wash their hands, or touch anything else but instead went to the police with the handprint to frame him, allowing them to lift a perfect print, break into the independent forensics lab, find the print lifted from the keypad and knob, then replace it? Surely then the condemned can tell you who he shook hands with and who has a great relationship with the police, and who would want to frame him. Yet the print lifted from the KEY PAD was a fingerprint from the pointer finger, one that a person uses to type in a code. The print lifted from the doorknob is a partial HAND print. Have you used the tip of your pointer finger to shake hands with a friend who doesn’t wash or touch anything else afterwards? 6 Likes 1 Share |

1stGenAmerican: You claim you want to help, yet you have said nothing and proved nothing that can help the situation. If this was a white mans case, will he be given this same sentence? Everyone here is trying to understand the situation, and the OP is showing true concern with evidence that he was wrongfully accused, and all you keep doing, is to debunk and kill the effort. Whoever you are, please look into the facts and contribute positively. This is a mans whole life we are talking about, and all evidence displayed here has proven that he wasn’t given a fair hearing. 3 life sentences + 76years, OMG 10 Likes 3 Shares |
