Many Naija Ladies Lack Respect For Men. by Truvelisback(m): 8:42pm On Nov 28, 2021
Good day, Fellas. many naija ladies lack respect for men or should i say home training? That could be the reasons we have so many single ladies without suitors, broken marriages and broken homes. Men Love Respect. If u want a man to show u love and do anything he didn't even intend to do for u, respect him, infact Reverence him. This evening after eating eba, i decided to buy yam and akara outside. So, i met a girl with her mum. The yam was on fire, yet to be done. While standing, she offered me a seat to sit. There was something this girl did that astonished me. Before giving me this yam and Akara, this girl gave me with are knees down while giving me the yam and Akara. How many ladies have and can do this? I was almost tempted to approach her, but i just controlled myself for suspense sake. No1 reason was that, her mum was there. 2. It was my first time buying something there. 3. I don't want to give her mum the impression that my coming there to buy something was because of her daughter. Although, the mum is cool, very friendly and accomodating.

Home training don disappear since bubu enter government ooo.. Sometimes respect can be used as a strategy to enter anyone. If u want to know a lady really has respect woe her or marry her with time u will know.. Though some of the pikin we dey raise in this country these days get strong head dem head need oil to reset oo.. The way some will even talk to u sef u go shock with electricity. Most especially girls dem no dey get better mouth. Secondary schools teachers can confirm it.

What location did this happen @OP.

Just want to confirm something wink.

But then, hometraining is not a 'one size fits all' thingy.

*Where I come from, we are not trained to kneel down to serve a 'customer', but to talk to them politely. wink. *.

And you should be broad-minded enough to understand a display of 'proper' public manner doesn't sum up a person's character.

You'll will only get to gauge a person's character after close observation.

This your conclusion get as e be. Just because...

I have met many ladies, only very few are respectful and have good manner of approach. Funny enough, the girl in question is a muslim(she wore Hijab).

Why women? Haven't you interacted with men who are rude? Most change after gaining from you...

I hate that people hold women only to these high standards...

Shouldn't we expect a good character from a man also?

No wonder most have zero morals... Being yahoo boys disgracing the good name of our country... Or killing girls and children, harvesting their organs...

Men seriously need all these lectures... It's more than obvious, your gender needs it most... undecided

Lagos is the location. I saw how the girl was interracting with people politely. The little time i spent there, i heard her mum scolding her younger female daughters, telling them that u are here behaving like a baby or misbehaving. A 12yrs old who is not up to ur age has given birth. Her mum doesn't condole any form of disrepectful behaviour from her daughters. If dem fvck up, she dey yab dem.

How about men who aren't polite and respectful? You haven't met them? Because you could have made this thread without bias... Just a nice piece trying to promote respect... But you killed it by excluding men... Those Lagos and Port-harcourt touts... You don't have a problem with their attitude? You don't care that most men are becoming like them?

Uncultured, loud...poor hygiene... embarassed

What the hell have you done to earn my respect? undecided

I know that there men like that but all i am saying is that for a lady to be loved by a man, she needs to be polite and be respectful to the man. Unfortunately, Many of u ladies lack this. By the way, I'm not seeking any respect from u because u don't have it. U can only give what u have.

You said its rare but its not the first time so is that the times before it was men that bent like that for you , I did not know what will make me do that when its nots that its my introduction angry
U bend the knees to greet because they are old men or old women. That's cool, almost every lady would want to do so. I want to ask u, how many women do bend the knees to their spouse or their husbands today? By the way, I'm talking abt respect here. I only gave the bending of the knees to give illustration of what Respect is all abt or the importance of it. Aside bending the knees or whatever, many Nigerian ladies are rarely polite and they lack respect, this is why men rarely love them or show them love.

It's the duty of the man to love the woman while it's the duty of the woman to be submissive(polite and respectful) to the man. By the way, u are asking me how many women have i knelt down to serve? U don't have respect ooo. Is that how u will talk to ur husband or future husband?

Exactly! I expected this nonsense!

Who are you up assume what we want or dictate what we should do?

Btw, you're wrong... Following gender based expectations, the man is men to PROVIDE FINANCIALLY for the woman...

If you want a submissive woman, are you willing to be her sole provider?

Remember, patriarchy backfires... wink

You gain and lose... You won't demand she contributes sh** because you're the man...

And yes! How am I being disrespectful asking you if you've knelt down to serve a woman? Isn't she a human being worthy of the respect you so desire to receive?

I have no intention of getting married... But my boyfriends, they would kneel if I do... And I won't...

What ever I give, I require...

Marry her bro. That kneeling must not be in vain. Make sure you kneel to propose too.

Kneeling to propose doesn't emasculate a man imo so long it's a private moment.

Lol.. my brother no confuse that stunt of kneeling down to serve u with respect oo. I remember one man that used to operate a bar in Benin back in the days. So he brought in this Yoruba lady from wherever that he intended to marry. She was very nice acting all good, greet u first and she always knelt down to serve customers. After 2 months or so things begin change. She started embarrassing some of the man's customers for trivial issues, exchanging words and even fighting. After some time (after marriage) she colonize the man. She now had the final say there. N.a. so the man begin lost all his customers until he literally started calling everyone on phone like hey bro G I just want to let u know we got some good bbq today and this and that. Sometimes we went out of pity just to patronize him so that he can feed but no one went there Like we used to. What I'm saying is all those things are formalities. The only way to tell if a person is respectful or not is to be close to them. Any other observations na just format. Very risky
