Everybody in Bonny nd Opobo are Ijaws.

Igbo was a language of trade like Hausa was to the north.
As our ancestors were selling your ancestors as slaves and fellow Igbos were selling them for us, we don't want the slave traders and the slaves to know our own language so that we can talk secret in their presence.
So we started using their own by learning it.

Jaja was Acculturated as Ijaw first.
All Jaja children had Ijaw mothers nd Jaja named them all Ijaw names.
Go to Opobo and find out.

Out of the 14 household that left Bonny to form Opobo only one was Jaja own and all his household people had Ijaw mothers.
