Next time, don't borrow if you won’t pay back. You defaulted on an official agreement. This makes you are fraudulent individual. Pay up or face more humiliation.
How does defaulting make one fraudulently, so USA that has defaulted severally is fraudulent or some businessmen that are months overdue are fraudulent too?

You said he can't pay back the loan he took while he was alive? If you like take a big loan and take your life afterwards... The bank will come after your estate/assets. Before executing your will, the first order of things is to settle all your outstanding debts.
Don't brag yet about having no will or an estate... A poor man is not eligible for any reasonable loan anyway...

grin ehn no wahala na, they should go and find his assets and leave the dead man...

Go and check all messages of the op in this post and see for yourself. Very clear with just little satire. The op was the one that posted the Obituary of the debtor and came here to continue his blackmailing, this is very bad as these people could one day pay with their lifes one day

Ohhhhh, now I get. I didn't really understand you at first. Thinking about this, theres a high probability for that. It's really not cool, to borrow nd don't want to pay back. But on the other hand, wen I realise these loan sharks are owned 80% by the Chinese, I feel happy deep down. Cos they can't do all these in China.

And there is negative feedback for nations and people that default.

Have you seen a defaulting nation getting A+ rating on its debt? Have you seen (at least in sane climes), a person filing bankruptcy, and suddenly he has access to the best credit terms? No.

Let a person in the US default... their score is damaged for 7-10 years depending on the chapter they filed. And in the interim, they can be denied loans, or have very expensive interest charges. Companies drag people to settle, and there are some loans (e.g. student loans) that a debtor cannot discharge, according to US law. The government and banks will happily withold tax refunds and garnish wages at the request of a creditor if you don't pay.

Of course there are loans that companies write off as part of business, and some they hand over to collection agencies. Nowhere in the saner parts of the world is it "OK" to not pay your debt.

A man has accused a loan app of announcing his obituary after he defaulted, WonderTV Media reports.

The man who shared the obituary banner on a social media group wrote;

as muslims we don't do interest based loans be it loan app or microfinance or conventional banks and I always advice people not to bother doing cos it always end in premium tears

Guy I know you don't have the money to sue this loan company, but there are lawyers who may be interested in this type of disgusting and awful attitude from a corporate entity. Payment default is normal and has penalty clauses in terms and conditions of the loan company, and I strongly believe this taboo is not one of them. Even Federal Govt dey default payment

He should go and read their terms and conditions. If there is no where the stated that defaulter will be declared dead. He should pay his debt and all the fine accrued on late payment then he take up the matter up with them legally because I have never seen where is stated that defaulters be declared dead in our constitution.

I know the op should have paid as at when due but things happen and in his case, I can't tell. The idiots supporting these loan apps are mostly illiterates and living in face me I face you whose only responsibility is to feed themselves. Even banks give room for people who default. Why go to the length of defamation talk more of posting someone's death. Go abroad and see how things are done and you people will understand why most of you are suffering and will continue to suffer because you support evil.

This is kinda weird..... Nigerians will tell u half baked story.

Probably the defaulter indirectly tell the loan company when they call by giving his phone to someone else to claim wat the loan company posted....

May God help us for this country sha.

Some years ago I am chronics loan app lover, it's got to a stage I borrow from 2-3 application , when the due date getting near I will be forcing people around me to send money to me either borrow or dash, I can't buy single shirt I will be looking for how I will repay the next month own, a rude lady from Sokoloan and a guy from Gocash when they called you to confirm if you have pay before you said something they have already copy your contact even though you don't default
Toward ending of the last year I sit myself down and delete all loan application on my phone, if someone will tell me I will not used loan app again I will argue it but God has help me and supprised me

If I approach you of my own accord to borrow money and, despite being aware of your terms and conditions, we mutually agree without coercion that I pay back on a certain date, I will be said to have acted fraudulently if I default on the agreement. I have to take responsibility for my decision to borrow and agree on the payment date.

This fact that others default doesn't make it right. Pay up what you owe and stop whining. Nigerians should stop playing the victim, take responsibility for their actions and pay up. Loan apps don't force anyone to patronise them, and all the issues people have with loan apps/companies started with one thing: they defaulted on their agreement and didn't pay up.

In business, if you take a loan, you are under obligation to pay as when due. More often than not, people take loans for consumption instead of critical investments that will repay itself and have ROI. I don't encourage borrowing and I try as much as possible to avoid borrowing .

Another dirty and sinister scenero is the loan app /company making it difficult for you to pay via they app so that when you default, they can bully or blackmail you via threats, calls and sms to pay more. Even if you are one hour behind payment day.

In summary, avoid taking loan. The real business men that take loan already have personal cash or investment equal to amount they want to borrow.

Too much ignorance in just one post. People default for so many reasons. Ask yourself why does CBN give money banks 91 days before a loan can be classified as non performing. Show me where it's legally to tag someone a fraudster for loan defaults.
The problem is that this country doesn't work else that loan company wouldn't have tried that rubbish.
I've always advocated that these loan apps should be regulated. This will stop these nonsense.
