And this same Rohr once converted Samuel Kalu (another potential X-factor killer winger) into a wingback! The White Onigbinde's fetish for defensive football led him into destroying our brightest attacking talent while spouting his "we don't have specially gifted players" line to whoever cared to listen. May the gods forgive me for once believing in this Arch-Carpenter! 2 Likes 1 Share |

It is very good that these players are vastly improving in the areas they are mostly criticized. EJuke won 4 tackles only behind Ndidi who has 6. Frank Onyeka has 3. Moses Simon completed 7 dribbles, Ejuke completed 3. Simon with goal bound shots in recent games is now more productive as a forward and it is a good booster for the team. 1 Like |

Joebie: Super Eagles have not played against a strong team especially a team with a strong attack.. It's normal to play well against teams like sudan, equatorial guinea, an underperforming Egypt.. Eguavoen major advantage for now is the fact that he is playing attacking football if Super Eagles concedes first and changes to a defensive pattern then SE will be in trouble. Hopefully eguavoen doesn't change his attacking game. 2 Likes |

And if you recall, even Eguavoen said so in that his now popular video and that he was going to speak to him. So Ndidi like Ekong, like Simon is playing like a man on drugs. Good result from the team but for the first time, we saw real weaknesses a good side can exploit. The Guinea Bissau team was well-coached for the game. They studied our strategy and exploited some weaknesses. The half-space gaps were exploited and this happened due to the midfielders pushing forward. The coaching crew will need to sort that out fast. If the midfielders push, a full-back must sit. It should be systematic. We need to keep covering gaps as we exploit our opposition with our attacking play. We are also vulnerable to long balls. I think the Guinea Bissau team reflected what Eguavoen wants to achieve with our team. I believe unlike us, the Guinea Bissau team has been working on it for some years while we are just a few weeks in. So our weak point remains defensive gaps and I believe by going through the tape, the coaching crew can spot it and come up with a better routine for our attacking play. 15 Likes |

Sadiq vs Olayinka is a dilemma. For the running Olayinka does, he lacks opening, which can be sorted out in training. Sadiq has a huge presence but his ball-playing decisions can get you worried. However, he is also a hard worker, has a huge presence. You can not miss him on the field. But, boy does he have a poor left foot. Olayinka did not have the room to really show what he offers offensively. 13 Likes 1 Share |

We have a finishing problem. We create loads and do not bury. That is one aspect that must be worked on. We need to work better as a unit when attacking. We dwell too long on the ball sometimes (that is individual) but with sharper combinative play, we can break defensive walls. We need to work on creating more clean chances. 4 Likes |

We are still a work in progress but I think we might see the team transform into something better in the coming days. The more the players get to understand the system, the more dangerous they will become. Our wingers need to learn how to work with their teammates. There is a reason it is called attacking as a unit. You do not need to do it on your own. When there is no space, just pass the ball, and let the player look for an opening. It is about creating and exploiting gaps. Not forcing play. 4 Likes |
