Oga Joe,Ejuke and Chuckwueze dey fall my hand o....imagine I rated Ejuke than Simon but I was wronged...I always see Chuckwueze as unplayable player in GWG but so far am not impressed......the duo just need up their games cos we have Dennis,Lookman and Kalu waiting after Afcon

He must not surpass it. He's practically been with the team for less than a month. We are playing well. That is immensely satisfying to me. A trophy will be an icing on the cake. I really do want them to win a trophy but if we don't win it, we will treasure the immense potential of this team.

That one na your problem. Last time we reach 3rd place, this time we must reach 1st or 2nd place or tournament will be considered a Failure. Wetin consign agbero guy with overload? Do I give a Bleep about beautiful football?

Westerhoff went to Algiers 90 with just three professional players,Andrew Uwe,Ademola Adeshina and Ivory coast based Rasheed Yekini and came 2nd.The same Westerhoff went to Senegal 92 with solid players but came 3rd but Nigerians rated Senegal 92 team better than Algiers 90 team.

Nigerians knows what is football, more reasons that Rohr was sacked.I remember how Shuaib Amodu was sacked, despite getting the results,Nigerians believed Amodu was playing negative football.

Eguavoen brand of football has earned him respect amongs fans so let's wait and see maybe he would be judged by winning Afcon or not.

We may need employ a setpiece specialist before Qatar. I'm still hammering this aspect since forever of 2013. We still haven't gotten this in the bag. Some team are equal in play but setpiece conversion is the difference and no one would remember who had the better striker or middle if it wins the game for a team.

I have been highly impressed with Eguavoen team Selections, timely substitution, team performance and style. So far, we have been the best team at this tournament thus far (my opinion) it’s almost like he is listening to super eagles fans because he has been rectifying our complains on Rohr

I don't even know if I should call you generous.

Sadiq Umar 7.5? Dude was dancing around 4.0 the entire match, that goal could have only boosted him to a solid 4.5, 5.0 if you want to be generous

His misses were criminal, so criminal, I'm very sure we can still arraign him for attempted murder, because I nearly died.

You're generous O. The rest of the ratings were good, might have scored Ndah a little higher, as well as Onyekuru, but otherwise, cool.

Na you dey talk for the video?

Haba... His poor game wasn't even due to his misses. It was due to his playing style and poor decision making. He only had two big misses, one was the one-on-one. It was clear the guy was nervous, let's cut him some slack. I've gone in-depth to analyze his game and how he's a confidence player. His gameplay is not sleek or flashy like Awo or Osimhen, but he had presence (which was something Olayinka lacked) and was very unselfish. If he can calm his nerves and sort himself out, he'll come out good.

I did not say his poor games were solely due to his misses, I simply cited his misses as one of the reasons

Awo is not sleek or flashy, not at all. He is bullish, there is absolutely nothing flashy about his play because even Awo has some howlers of his own, but Awo brings other things to the attack, so, you don't even bother so much about his misses.

Notice how when Awo is on the pitch, Iheanacho is a lot more present in the box and useful in attack, but when Iheanacho is on the pitch with Sadiq, we see something different. Their chemistry was non-existent. I can't explain this fully, but it is just different when it is AwoNacho.

If he is a confidence player, good for him, this is not the kind of place for such a player. When we want to play friendlies, we can get a confidence player. A 7-game tournament is not the place to build confidence, you either bring it along, or you stay home with it.

Moving forward, we will not have the luxury of missed chances, misplaced passes, clumsy movements and other mistakes he got up to, we have only one game/stage and we need to bury our chances each time.

Perhaps, he can keep his role as substitute, preferably, when we are a few goals up because he is not even a super sub, but it is best if he leaves Starts to the Big Boys that came with their confidence.

Solace is ruthless.

If anybody see 8.0, na just because the person did more than was expected

Basco really spread out that 7.5, because most of the players were actually between 6.0-7.0, some lower.

In fact, he is generous. Some people na first half dem shine, some people na second half dem shine, some people just dey low current the entire time, but in all, they did the business.

*Modified

Just saw Solace's ratings. Quite ruthless as expected, I think if I were to rate the players, I would be stuck somewhere between Solace and Basco's, one end seems too ruthless, the other, generous.

But I wholly agree with that Solace's 4/10

For the moment, I think Olayinka is a better backup CF to Awoniyi. Strong enough, excellent work rate, nothing flashy but links up play well. Another Awoniyi but just smaller and slimmer.

Sadiq may be useful in certain games. His height combined with Ajayi made us especially dangerous from set-pieces in the first half. However the guy needs to work on himself a lot. He needs to be more fluid, add some upper body mass and learn to link up play better. He gives off this Onuachu 5 years ago vibe (Onuachu's days at Mitdjylland when he scored that goal against Manchester United).

Lol...it's like u don't know Sadiq
He does not know how to jump use his head

So please don't see him as an advantage when it comes to set piece

His decision making is so slow and not timely no one will give such luxury in the round of 16, 8 and 4. Olayinka and Awoniyi will be better

Truth be told, I still want to see Sadiq given more minutes albeit in a different set up
He may have missed chances today, but I feel it's due more to his nerves than ability
That goal would do wonders for his confidence
I believe we will see a different Sadiq next time

Oga we are not here for experiment
U don't go play against Senegal or Cameroon missing chances and poor decision making like this... with their pace they would take u on a counter and score u goals

We don't need to experiment with Sadiq or try build his confidence level in the round of 16, 8 and more... we need strikers that can get the job done so please let Taiwo lead the attack and Olayinka come in as sub biko

Some people amaze me with their takes

Confidence player in 7-game tournament?

We don play 3 games finish and confidence never even pass foundation level, who will wait to build confidence for the duration of the tournament?

I don't wanna compare players, neither do I want to judge Akpoguma, reason being that he got his minutes under Rhor. That said, from the few minutes given to Ndah, it is obvious he is clear off Akpoguma who was below par in the few appearances he has had with Nigeria. Like Komekn once said, 10minutes is enough to tell a good player and a pretender. I will still give Akpoguma that benefit of doubt because I haven't seen him under a good coach.

Eguavoen got his calls right here.

Where are those ogogoro drinking forumites that were saying that Eguavoen was trynna fill the team with local players because almighty Akpoguma was not considered?
