If I would rank those criteria you listed in term of most important, it be like this:

1. Club loyalty
2. Longevity
3. Ability
4. Fan favorite
5. Achievement

The first 3 are non- negotiable and the remaining can be juxtaposed. That’s because you can’t have them if you don’t have the rest.

The definition of a legend to me is a loyal servant who is very good and has dedicated his career to the club.

That being said, I only listed the players that came to my mind. The fact that Ronaldo is just a coincidence.

Having said that, I don’t count Ronaldo as a United legend on the scale of them Scholes, Rooney and Giggs. He’s just an extremely talented player who spent some time at Old Trafford.

You can beg to differ tho. No qualms about that.

R9 is a Brazilian legend. Full stop. He’s hardly an inter, Barca, or Madrid legend although he played for all 3 teams.
