What Kind Of Programming Do I Need To Learn As An Aspiring Aerospace Engineer by Fhantom: 10:43pm On Apr 04, 2022
Hello house,

I am an aspiring aerospace engineer and I know that I could need the knowledge of programming to enable me go further in the field.
I will like to ask; what kind of programming do I need to learn?
Your advice and contributions will be appreciated.

Thanks

Bird language.
Or Eagle language.
Even hawk language.
Your choice.

I am curious why are you going to waste your time, money and parents resources to study aerospace engineering. Where are you gonna work. Have you taken a look at aerospace engineering jobs. It's a thing that has to do with national defense and only kept for citizens of developed countries in america and Europe.

Even if you get a masters in a developed country, you can't still work there when you aren't a citizen. If you are yet to go to the University change to something else.

But that's my passion. And there are civil applications to aerospace engineering too.
It's just that I am passionate about it

No problem bro. Passion is more important in selecting a career and one that involves programming is great. If you plan to study in a developed country check that the university is in the top ten in that country. This way you will be able to do a year in industry during your studies and this will help you to secure a job in aerospace engineering or in other industries where aerospace engineering skills are required if they would offer sponsorship if you are not a national of the country.
All the best.

Eagles are Kings of the aerospace. They glide and move in the air very efficiently. Most aeronautical engines are modelled after them.
Also, Eagle language is best suited for you if you want to go into aerospace engineering.

Programmers at Boeing use Eagle language extensively.

Its also easy to learn!!!

Shut up mumu. No dey talk wetin pass you.

Citizens and non citizens alike can work in aerospace companies. The most you need is to pass a background check.
And aerospace companies are not only for national defence.

Please don't mind the idiot.
There are aerospace companies that solely have civilian/commercial use as their primary target market.

And even the companies engaged in national defence also employ non-citizens once you pass a background check.

This should be one of the most dumbest comment I have read recently on nairaland.
First thing first, did the Op stated on this post that money is the issue?
Secondly, did the Op tell you that he wants to learn aerospace engineering for job seeking?! Do you know if the Op has an idea that requires the study of aerospace engineering to solve a world problem?

Nigerians have the least creative developers in the world! Just imagine how a supposed techie I guess is thinking. I’m a software engineer and I have never sent application for any job whatsoever but make’s averagely 1M monthly excluding the income from my other startups!

Lol an idea from a newbie engineer. Most of you don't know how this world is. Go on you will learn a hard lesson.

2010 and you still make a million naira. 12 years probably less since it's average. Infact mostly less. Not even up to 2000 dollars. I don't even like bragging money. Op you can do whatever you wanna do. You are a man you will bear the consequences of the decisions you make.

You failed to acknowledged the part where I said “Excluding the incomes from my other startups which gives me the bigger share!”. Do you know what it takes to startup a company with 18 employees?
Yes I proudly make 1M on average every month because I choose to and as a side gig by providing solutions for some brands working in a very minimal time and If I wish to increase it by x5 the next month, I 100% possibly can!

Bro you still have a long way to go. It can be deduced from your comments you’re still a junior developer with definitely not more than 3 years experience. Your mind is too low!
One love bro, cheers!

If I had known I would have just say what I got to say to the Op and completely ignored you. I’m not really active in here and I really don’t like to comment but your dumbass comment made me to.

Op follow your dreams and ignore any and every negativity, I’m rooting for you, you can do it!

Aerospace engineering is the primary field of engineering concerned with the development of aircraft and spacecraft.
The aircraft you board to go from place to place are they being built by national defence corporations??
Even in national defence corporations, anyone with a security clearance can work there.

The young lad was right, you know nothing.

Better go back to your mechanic work Ewu.

Op you can read experiences from people who have done it. Go on reddit go on ask engineers forum and research seriously. Some jobs aren't even given to naturalised citizens to show you how crazy the field is.

You do not hesitate to display your nauseating ignorance at any given moment.

The young lad asked a simple question, but you felt you had to question his motives because you know something, when in fact you know absolutely nothing.

I'm a pharmacist and a software engineer working for a foreign company in the field of computer aided drug design.

I've achieved more than you'll probably ever achieve in your mechanic work.

Learn to accept your ignorance. That's the only way you'd grow.

But errm, working for a biotech firm differs from working for an aerospace company, remotely or in the office/factory. There are jobs but mainly for citizens. Yes, there are civil aviation firms, but most generate the bulk of their revenues from defence-related projects/contracts than strictly civil aviation projects, and as such have a strict adherence to employment quotas. The Quora link and sub-links embedded he posted have posts from foreigners even from top schools (MIT & Co) on how it is difficult to get a job in the industry and the role assigned to them.

There are very few compared to military-related projects, and you face stiff competition from foreigners esp those who come from allied nations (easier for a South Korean to be recruited by an American firm than a Nigerian). Unless you intend to practise in Nigeria but you know how your country is? grin

Bro no be so.
Tensa is just a fool who does not know when to keep quiet. You just don't open your mouth to say things because you can.

When I graduated from pharmacy school in 2015,i and my colleagues got a lot of offers from companies like M&B, with very good salaries and working conditions.

I was aningsotue very few that declined. I knew what I wanted.

Computer aided drug design is a very advanced field where only people with exceptional qualities are taken in, and even so, with many years of experience.

I went against popular opinion, did my masters in medicinal chemistry.
I read Pharnacognosy and Pharm chem like my life depended on it. I was also able to combine this with learning python and Julia.

I'm not bragging, but it took extensive hard work for me to be where I am today.
My point here is simply that once you have the will and the determination, you can get to the absolute heights you wish to.

Once you are exceptionally good, the sky will only be your starting point.

Tensa specialises in grandstanding and foolishly engaging in matters above him. That's what I abhor.

Concerning the quora link, are you also aware that the job market for clinical pharmacists in the US is highly saturated and some pharmacists are struggling to find openings.

Despite this fact, I have friends who have migrated to the States, sat for Thier NAPLEX exam, passed on flying colours and are currently raking in more that 100k dollars annually.

My point is, most fields of endeavour are saturated, heck even tech, of you are not exceptionally good in tech you'll hardly get remote gigs, but does this mean that people who are very good don't get jobs from foreign companies??

Once you are really good and determined, you can always achieve your goals.
