Have you not heard of his exploits with Fortuna Sittard in Eredisivise.
Give me the name of any Nigerian coach that has achieved such level of feat.

*Erste Divisie NOT Eredivisie.

Oliseh didn't finish the season with them but he did more than enough to get them promoted. Season was 2017/18 after he left the Super Eagles job in 2016. Remember he left under a cloud of chaos "abandoning" the team just a month to our Egypt ties.

Oliseh led them to be crowned half season Champions after Match day 20. It was widely celebrated throughout club and was their first title since 1995 (Check tweet link below & attached pic at the end)

https://twitter.com/FortunaSittard/status/951935846676140033?t=j_8Uyp9o45R43ocTikZmTA&s=19

He was also named Best Manager in Erste Divisie for the first half of the season. He left the job during the early part of the season's second half and a new coach only just rode on the already established efforts of Oliseh to finish second in the Erste divisie.

Check link below:

In conclusion, like I have said before, Oliseh has a sound tactical mind. He's probably the only Nigerian tactician I will bring close to Amunike in my books. Ndubuisi Egbo is there too but these former 2 cut it more tactically for me speaking "Nigerian coaches/Coaches of Nigerian blood" alone.

He knows how to drill a team into a decent force given time and support (judging with his time at Fortuna) but I still have my reservations over his man management skills. That is my only doubt about him.

Tactically he is definitely better than Rohr and Eguavoen combined. No caps.

But I repeat... Man is a walking epitome of management chaos UNLESS he has repented. And one of the reasons why Amunike remains my first choice ONLY among Nigerian coaches/Coaches of Nigerian blood.

If we go foreign, I just want a quality tactician and manager. Period!!!

This is me just further setting the records straight in addition to pointing out a small correction that was needed.

Eguavoen Speaks.... Says, "I am not a failure"

Austin Eguaveon:

"I don't see myself as a failure, I don't have regret taking the Super Eagles job. I can't reject the call to serve. "Maybe the Super Eagles players don't have the character, I used the word maybe. I also think the emotion was overwhelming."

Source: @Oganlamedia

Having a go at your players is cowardly especially when you did little or nothing tactically to make things easier. Egu is truly a tactical dunce. A cowardly one too. Don't even wanna take responsibility. Nonsense and Egu!

Man...this is disappointing.
This is not about any qualifier, don't you get it?
We missed out due to bad coaching and management and not because of any FBs.

What we're talking about here is the way forward.
Get a good coach for the present crops of players and stop all these beggy beggy Shenanigans.

Simple. This is not too hard to comprehend.

So much noise about Foreign-born players. It is not a crime to be born outside Nigeria. We lose not because of these players, we lose the ticket because of coach deficiencies. Give the same super eagles players to Otto Addo and let Eguovoen coach the Ghana team, the scoreline will be 3-4 nil in favor of the Nigerian team. Going forward a tactical coach should be employed not a roadside foreign coach. Herve Renard won Afcon with Zambia and went ahead to win with Ivory Coast, now coach Saudi Arabia, to the world . We need a quality coach of this nature.

"Picnic" doesn't seem bothered with our youth football system.

Every NFF President past and present have their administrative flaws but from a positive angle, the reborn of our cadet/youth system/grassroots focus under Maigari really caught the eye. The NFF U13 and U15 programs thrived under his regime and gave us some of the talents we have today.

It is well even though I know it actually isn't. I hope the NFF can bring back a system that once thrived as the best U17 system in the world at international level for a period of close to 5 years.

Some of us stressed on this point many times in the past... The cadet team has always been the ones supplying talents to the national team... Since Pinnick took over, save for the 2015 u-17 win, we have been performing poorly at cadet levels .not just in the male category but also female... It is unfortunate...

The man is appointing people like Aigbohun to head our u-20 ..smh

Thank you TheSuperNerd for the correction. You are indeed super.

How many sound tacticians are good man managers. Humans are very difficult to control, this is the reason why high achievers are usually very strict and tough.

The coaches that are excellent man managers, what have they given us.
