Coincidence doesn't imply causality. It has nothing to do with the comment.

If you've been following the Falcons to you'll know that removing Oshoala as Captain was quite necessary. Ebi is a better captain.

In the first place, Oshoala wasn't supposed to be captain ahead of Ebi... Ebi has better leadership qualities than her... And let's be honest, her form in the national team has seriously regressed since 2018.. I'd like to believe that it's a coaching problem like in the super eagles cus she's a world class player at club level...

What's your point exactly?

Are you saying that if she wasn't informed beforehand then it has to do with Ikpeba?

The new Captain was on camp. Media too is on camp. It is not the players that will carry news. It is the media.

Please read carefully

I didn't at anytime suggest that the Ikebpa saga led to her loosing the captain band. Except otherwise proven, I even think it couldn't have been the reason.

I only suggested why people could draw conclusions like that cause of her reaction since the news broke. Whether or not the Ikebpa saga led or contributed to it, time will tell.

Check some of the things she retweeted. One even indicted Amaju Pinnick. Retweets shows that's she affirms those positions.
She retweeted a post from someone who said NFF and coaches should allow the players pick their captains.

From her posts I just see someone who is unhappy with the decision. Maybe as the coach said, the stuff really entered her head.

I don't think it's a coaching problem. Ever since she regressed other players like Ify Onumonu, Esther Okoronkwo, Rasheedat Ajibade, Toni Payne, Michelle Alozie, Uchenna Kalu, etc have all stepped up to keep the SF on top of their game. It's not as if they are underperforming.

If Asisat alone is underperforming then it's a personal issue. I agree she was never supposed to be captain ahead of Ebi.

Yeah that's what I said.

I just don't think people should think too Deep about the captain stuff.
Has she been playing well since the armband? No.

Is she the best fit for the role? No. So why are people looking for how to blame coach, NFF and Amaju again?

Baba that dude by now should work on himself
Haba he is still on his prime he deserve to play in better league with his potentials

Moreover if he was sick he should have report at his club, let him be examined by their doctors

If u were right the players association would not have sided with Kelechi. A doctor said it would be better for his health to stay and rest, there is no reasonable team that will ask the player to travel and see their team doctor. That defeats the whole purpose of telling the player to rest.

Every human has their own path. U don't know kelechi so how can u say he should work on himself? At his age Kelechi Iheanacho was also struggling with many saying the same stuff. They also said "can u imagine people use to compare Iheanacho to Rashford?". But that same Rashford is under Iheanacho as we speak.

So some people here really think Oshoala talking about Ikpeba that is not even in the NFF in a side Instagram comment is the reason she was removed as captain?

How una take dey reason sef

FYI, the new captain has been captain for a while now because of Oshoala's injury. Oshoala has not been playing well in the GWG since she became captain, meanwhile the new captain has been the captain fora while now. She is also the oldest and most capped with the highest world cup experience (Five World Cups).

The Super falcons have a match tomorrow which Oshoala will still not feature due to injury so the coach finally decides to make it official and yet for some people, a side Instagram comment looks like it's the reason.

I just tire for you pple oh grin
Thank you..it's unconnected.
Also, she has been poor since she was made the captain so the coach felt giving another person the band might reduce the weight on her.

And when the elders choose not to respect himself he will be disrespected

This players deserve to be encouraged, the criticism from this 1994 set is getting too much as if they won the world cup during their playing days not even a Qfinals berth. The other one made a naughty remark about foreign born players as if they're not Nigerians the other day and this one is vilifying Victor for doing what he thinks best in the field of play that day
Bro...to be honest, I understand some of these 1994 goons can be inconsiderate and rude at times but what Ikpeba said about Osimehn is just a normal stuff...it sounds more like an advice than criticism to me. Osimehn's response was too disrespectful abeg...he needs to calm down.

We may not always have the same perspective on issues, that is the reason why dissention and criticism is allowed, but criticisms can go overboard, Ikpeba was very wrong when he insinuated that Victor is not yet the player that can play for Napoli. He said "forget he is playing for Napoli". He took a dig at Osimhen.

I wish he had only said Osimhen is not yet a finished article, and ended it there.
Please...don't twist it abeg..

Victor Osimhen is a good player but is not yet a finished article, forget he’s playing for Napoli.

@ the bolded, Ikpeba was implying that the fact that Osimehn is playing for Napoli doesn't mean he is a finished article.
In other words, he needs to work more harder.
Tha statement was simple and precise...

He will grow and handle things better. As for Oshoala ....madam female football and male football are not the same. Osimhem is more valuable than you...bitter facts. Next time , put your money where your mouth is.

Jez look at the nonsense you wrote? You won't be called out coz Bird of a feather are so pretty much on this Thread, yet quick to comdemn Forgiveness as a Tribalist.

If you don't understand Yoruba you should ask for the meaning of Osimhen's Message to Ikepeba. He's simply telling him to mind his Business considering his Age.

Asisat took it a Cruise/Banter, yet Osimhen went ahead to nail the Coffin. Oh.... we should put the blame on Asisat, after all Osimhen is the golden face of the Team at the moment?

I don't really understand most Folks here. You Guys keep ignoring the Truth, perhaps till it becomes bitter and hard to swallow?

Ikpeba did not attack or criticise Osimhen. He simply advised him what he should have done at that Moment.

Are we saying Osimhen is a finished Article, thus no Room for further Improvement? Or Ikpeba is wrong to advise him professionally, been a potent Ex Striker as well?

Prince of Monaco? AFCON Medalist? Olympics Medalist? CAF Africa Player of the Year? He has earned the Right, Osimhen must humble himself.

The denotation from the words "forget he is playing for Napoli" means he is not that good enough to play for Napoli.

I don't think i will argue this further.
