The denotation from the words "forget he is playing for Napoli" means he is not that good enough to play for Napoli.

I don't think i will argue this further.

Well, if that is how you comprehend it, it's alright

I think Asisa should be left out of the Falcons for now. That was too crass of her in my opinion. Why insult Onome a fellow team mate. Even someone who had been in the team before her. Recall there was a video during the last WC where she almost fought with another team member. Yes she might be the greatest female footballer from Nigeria or even Africa but sometimes "best" players can be excused, for example Cantona, Benzema (before his last recall), Ziyech etc.

Right now, the team is not that talented enough to exclude her. If she was in the days of akide, maybe this would be a good idea. Although, i see valid angle to this, i just don't think it would make things better for the team off and on the pitch. Factions has been existing way before she even went for her 2nd Wafcon. Women tinz.

Besides they fight too in camp. Bo be only her o.

Rumors have it that Ebi is the team snitch. Its a strong rumor. What a time

It has always be sorrow for football fans any time they manage the SE...they are hungry and feel they are entitled to own the SE even without developing themselves coaching wise.

How on earth would a model without the least coaching badge be a national team coach and another one that i cant remember the last club side or national team he coached and year been in the dugout be the technical adviser....

1994 set would always be a disaster to the SE of this era....NFF should do away with them and their entitlement character.
humility33:

I would have said same words if I was in Victor shoes

This 1994 set think they own the super eagles or they love Nigeria better than the current crop of players where as the few amongst them who later become coaches have gone kill our national team oliseh and now Equeavon

This men won't rest they see the super eagles as birth right and when you give them to manage they'll kill the team their mates elsewhere are making progress and managing football federations here none of them is even state FA chairmen all they do is to criticise and when u ask them to coach the outdated 1994 philosophy is all they have upstairs

Osimehn is even lucky that ikpeba was kind in his criticism because if it was me, the man for hear am. The man failed to convert any of his 4 “half chances” in a derby game that resulted in our non qualification and he has the mouth to talk nonsense? Can he try 3 overhead kick in a Napoli derby game and fail to convert any of them and will not be chased with cutlass? This is the same player that some agent was comparing to Harland on this platform? Mad people full here. Dude failed to convert any of the 4 half chances that was created for him vs Ghana and he has the mouth to talk? Because of people like him, I have to miss attending Qatar. Nigerians think that football is just about Running and Running. You have to learn positional awareness, intelligence, technique in order to become great

I wasn’t even that upset that Nigeria failed to qualify for the World Cup because I know that, the conclusion would had been a “group stage exit” my main grouse was that, we lost to a Ghana team with inferior Individual players.

Ikpeba did not attack or criticise Osimhen. He simply advised him what he should have done at that Moment.

Are we saying Osimhen is a finished Article, thus no Room for further Improvement? Or Ikpeba is wrong to advise him professionally, been a potent Ex Striker as well?

Prince of Monaco? AFCON Medalist? Olympics Medalist? CAF Africa Player of the Year? He has earned the Right, Osimhen must humble himself.

They will always twist as far it’s osimhen nah ,me I am still looking for ikpeba insults

You are just twisting this and that’s all

That doesn’t mean he isn’t good enough to play for Napoli ,it simply means he is playing for a big club like Napoli doesn’t mean he is a complete player yet

Growing as a poor kid from the street doesn’t make one lose respect for elders. He really need to work on his manners

Couple of questions.

Did Ikpeba say something that was untrue, was his criticism without merit was it unfounded.

Humility is the pathway to greatness not pride and obstinacy , they are actually the opposite.

My final verdict on this matter is Ikpeba has a trail of such. I think i watched one before Keshi took over where he was criticizing Ambrose but the other pundit in the studio, Babayaro i think, say Ambrose was doing just the job well, and that even there were others lacking positional discipline.

The angle here is that Our legend is picking out only Victor which i find quite uncomfortable.

I however in 100yrs would detest and totally condemn what Osimhen did. What's he feeling like? Has he seen how Mou Criticize footballers before? He better get sense o cos that's rubbish to me. He can choose to ignore, especially as no one would support his own explanation in matters like this.

However, we can also say that since he didn't mention a name, then we don't know who he's referring too grin grin

Na us dey assume its Victor Ikpeba grin grin

Of cos Ikpeba is right about the improvement part.

'forget Napoli' is funny to say. Very funny.

They won't go to court.

Their response is a normal PR response from organisations. It almost like a generic response for organisations.

Nwakali accused them of paying him late and withholding his wages, this is even provable with his bank's statement of account showing the dates of his wage payment.

Only this one accusation alone will put them in trouble .

I'm sure they are probably settling with him as we speak.

Ikpeba just gave his submission to journalist (Godwin Enakhena) on top radio and still advising osimehn and said he will praise him always and when it time to criticize him he will do it constructively again as long as he his in the studio doing his punditry grin grin grin;

Ipkeba also said the best answer to osimehn is silence and at age 23 he knew what he has achieved so victor should take inspiration from his words and go higher wink

Wise words. cool

Oga humility the issue was not about 94 set but Ikpeba as a pundit on live TV said Victor Osimehn would have done better than taking the bicycle kicks. If Ikpeba said this to the press after the match then i can say NO NO Ikpeba damn wrong but as pundit,Osimehn should just chill and let it slide.

I can tell you the first bicycle kick i was like NO cos Lookman was beside Osimehn and all Osimehn need was just a dummy move to confuse Ghana defence..but do we really blame Osimehn NO,that is football.

I do not see players reacting to pundit verdicts.I guessed some Osimehn loyalists must have told him what Ilpeba said

Versatile Rangers left-back Calvin Bassey has been named in the Europa Team of the Week by football statistics website Whoscored following the conclusion of the first leg quarterfinal matches on Thursday, April 7.

The Nigeria international was one of the standout performers for the Light Blues in a 1-0 loss to Sporting Braga at the Estádio Municipal de Braga.

Bassey started the game in his preferred left-back position but moved to central defence just past the hour mark when manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst made a triple substitution.

With a rating of seven, Bassey, the only Rangers player included in the UEL Team of the Week, was deployed at left-back in a 4-4-2 formation.

The Italian-born youngster completed a joint game high two dribbles, won one foul for his team while giving away one, was accurate in 82.8 percent of his passes and touched the ball 88 times, more than any other player in the Rangers squad.

Bassey registered a game-high five tackles, made two interceptions and one clearance and blocked one shot.

Other Nigerian players in action in the Europa League on Thursday include Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun, while young center back Ajibola Alese was a non-playing substitute for West Ham United in a 1-1 draw versus Lyon.
