Maybe we're talking about different Ajibade and Kanu here...

You should be saying Ajibade has improved drastically or should I say the most improved Superfalcons player from 2018 till date.. Chiamaka Nnadozie is another

Sorry, Schermekiz, but Kanu has never been a better player. I'm guessing you judge based on the popularity she garnered while playing college football in the US.

Not because of any popularity, She has been a good player till date, a Complete Striker who average at least 1 goal in two games..

Ajibade is good as a midfielder but u can't compare her to Kanu if u are talking forward positions and yes Kanu scoring an other worldly amount of goals in America gave her popularity just like her recent performance against Canada should do the same.

The Polish Women League is far ahead of the two you mentioned right now, the Belarusian league is currently on the down side unlike two years back. Most of the top players are going abroad (Russia especially), currently the league is mainly made up of of U17 and U20.. But Minsk FC and Dinamo Minsk remain the strongest club there..

I'm still clamouring for Regina Otu to move away from Belarus.

Thank you, Ajibade performs better as a Midfielder than as a forward. If I were to be her, I will stick to the Midfield position as a Central or Attacking Midfielder she does well there... She isn't bad as a forward either but as a Midfielder she looks exceptional..

Kanu has been a better forward than Ajibade right from U17 till date!!

Goalkeeper Rita Akarekor was at her best, saving two penalty kicks to keep her team in lead and as well as earning the maximum points for the Amazons.

Rwanda’s Salima Mukansanga Part Of History As FIFA Names Women To Referee At World Cup For First Time.

Rwanda’s Salima Mukansanga is one of the female match officials appointed as FIFA on Thursday announced women referees will officiate at a men’s World Cup finals for the first time ever at teh Qatar World Cup.

Mukansanga has already made history when in January she became the first ever woman to officiate at the men’s Africa Cup of Nations.

She is one of three female referees appointed by FIFA for Qatar and will also include France’s Stephanie Frappart and Japan’s Yoshimi Yamashita, among the 36 match referees.

Brazil’s Neuza Back, Mexico’s Karen Diaz Medina and American Kathryn Nesbitt have been included in the 69 assistant referees.

“We are very happy that … we have been able to call up female match officials for the first time in the history of a FIFA World Cup,” said FIFA Referees Committee chairman Pierluigi Collina.

“This concludes a long process that began several years ago with the deployment of female referees at FIFA men’s junior and senior tournaments.

Salima Mukansanga (33yrs) is an international football referee from Rwanda. She was an official at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France. In 2022, Mukansanga became the first woman to referee at the African Cup of Nations, leading out an all-woman officiating team of Fatiha Jermoumi (Morocco), Carine Atemzabong (Cameroon), and Bouchra Karboubi (Morocco) as the VAR. She has officiated at the Olympics, FIFA Women’s World Cup, Africa Women Cup of Nations and CAF Women’s Champions League.

Nah! Ajibade is a better player overall, doesn't matter if we're talking about a forward or midfield role, and this doesn't make Kanu a bad player. Kanu has specifically scored those goals during her US college football days, she's not yet brought it down to the Falcons.

Now , if we're talking of 'forward' role, Ajibade is still better. I make my judgement very carefully, using such criteria as conversion rate, quality of crosses, overall contribution a player brings.

India 2022: Flamingos determined to put one leg in World Cup
newtelegraphng.com May 19, 2022 5:11 PM

Nigeria’s U17 girls are pumped up to do the hard work away from home by scoring as many goals as possible against hosts Ethiopia when both teams clash in a FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup final round, first leg encounter in Addis Ababa on Friday.

Fourteen goals for and none against is the tally of the Nigerian girls in this campaign, after 8-0 and 6-0 aggregate wins over DR Congo and Egypt respectively. Having won their two away games in the series, the Flamingos are determined to achieve another handsome win that will all but hand them the ticket to the finals in India in October this year.

The Nigeria delegation arrived in Addis Ababa on Wednesday night – which was at the behest of the technical crew as Ethiopia is high altitude territory. Head Coach Bankole Olowookere told thenff.com that his girls are upbeat about Friday’s encounter and will go all out for a win.

“We are confident. It is going to be a tough game no doubt, because the Ethiopians are also a good team. That’s why we have worked hard in the past weeks to perfect observed weak points. The girls know what is at stake and they will throw everything into the fray.”

Friday’s match will hold at the Abebe Bekila Stadium in Addis Ababa starting from 4pm Ethiopia time (2pm Nigeria time) and will be superintended by Namibian officials. The return leg is scheduled for the National Stadium, Abuja on Saturday, June 4.

FLAMINGOS IN ADDIS ABABA:

Goalkeepers: Faith Omilana; Linda Jiwuaku, Jessica Inyiama

Defenders: Comfort Folorunsho; Tumininu Adeshina; Olamide Oyinlola; Josephine Edafe; Miracle Usani; Confidence Nwoha; Mistura Yusuf

Midfielders: Blessing Emmanuel; Taiwo Afolabi; Chidera Okenwa; Joy Igbokwe

Forwards: Omowunmi Bello; Mercy Itimi; Alvine Dah-Zossu; Anastasia Atume; Opeyemi Ajakaiye; Yetunde Ayantosho; Bisola Mosaku; Raheemot Adebayo

The two should be almost at same level right now cause the Turkish side recently invested a lot making it compulsory for all the team in the Male League to have Female Clubside...

Many players worldwide recently moved there this season, the pay is now high, quality of play too is high now..

I will qualify both a little bit at same level maybe 55% to Poland 45% to Turkey.. Besiktas Women FC, Çaykur Rizespor, Fatih Karagümrük, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Hatayspor, Sivassspor and Trabzonspor were newly formed and each Club is permitted to have 6 foreign players in their team.

But at the National Team level Poland is way Stronger than Turkey!!

Tottenham’s Chioma Ubogagu gets nine-month ban over banned substance

Thu 19 May 2022
The Tottenham and England forward Chioma Ubogagu has apologised after she was suspended from football for nine months for taking a banned substance.

Ubogagu, 29, was found to have consumed Canrenone, a prohibited substance often used as a masking agent, as part of an anti-acne treatment. A Football Association hearing found that Ubogagu had used the substance innocently but should have checked with authorities that it was appropriate for use.

Her suspension was announced after the end of a disciplinary process but has been in place since the beginning of the year and will run until October, after the start of the Women’s Super League season. “I am so sorry to my teammates and staff that I can’t be out on the pitch,” Ubogagu said. “The club has been fully supportive throughout this entire process, and I am so appreciative of all their help. My faith, family and close friends have helped me immensely in this difficult time. I am eager to be back soon now that this has been resolved.

“I want to make clear that the medication had no performance-enhancing effects for me, but I still made the mistake of not being as diligent as possible, and as a result I am unable to play the game I love until I serve my suspension. While my dermatologist is aware of my profession, it is also my responsibility to know more about the medications I am prescribed.”

Ubogagu, who was born in London but moved to Texas as a child and was educated in the US, joined Spurs from Real Madrid last summer and has three England caps, the most recent of which came in March 2019. On 7 October 2021 she gave a urine sample that was found to test positive for Canrenone. A disciplinary process was undertaken which ended on 22 April.
A FA regulatory commission investigating the case found that Ubogagu had experienced nodulocystic acne for most of her life and had been prescribed a new drug by her dermatologist in Texas. Although the commission ruled that the player should have done more to establish it was safe to take the medicine, it also found she had acted without “significant” fault or negligence. She had also cooperated fully with authorities and the commission’s judgment reduced Ubogagu’s punishment from a standard two-year ban.

Monday Gift is currently the hottest NWFL striker but unfortunately, she was not named by Randy Waldrum in the provisional AWCON squad.

Super Falcons and Bayelsa Queens' Monday Gift has scored 6 goals at the Super Six in Benin

She scored the winner against Rivers Angels, hatrick against Ratels, and two goals against Edo Queens

Dear NFF and Randy Waldrum, can she still be added to the list? She deserves the opportunity to fight for a place in the squad

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 8:31pm On May 19, 2022
So, let me get this straight...
Ajibade, who has successfully benched the Brazilian striker Ludmila and the South African Kgatlana, hasn't proven she is a better striker than midfielder? . Ajibade, who is currently Atletico Madrid's top scorer this season is, according to you, is not a better forward performer than being a midfielder?
Really I bet Oscar Ferandez, the Athletico Madrid coach will disagree with you.

To the writer...
NO, she has not demonstrated that she is any better than those chosen by Waldrum.
Selections were based on previous international performances, not flash in the pan domestic performances.
She still has a ways to get to international level.

I stand with my Words, Ajibade is better as a Midfielder to me, by the way is she going to bench any of the following Asisat Oshoala, Ifeoma Onumonu, Fransisca Ordega and Uchenna Kanu upfront?? Let me include Esther Okoronkwo if she wasn't injured!

Ajibade will bench KANU , ordega and okoronkwo , she's faster and more clinical than any of the 3 players ....Ajibade scored 10 league goals this season despite not playing regularly how many league goals did KANU , ordega and okorokwo scored this season ? Despite they play in a lesser league

Faster you say

Rasheedat Ajibade can only match Esther Okoronkwo in terms of pace... Kanu and Ordega are quicker than her 100%

Clinical in front of goal, Kanu and Esther Okoronkwo are more clinical. She's only better than Franny in this aspect!
