Adamu: Why Consensus Won’t Work For Presidential Primary by seunmsg(m): 5:17am On May 26, 2022 |
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, says the consensus method which was used in electing party officers during the March 26, 2022 convention may not be feasible for the party’s presidential primary which begins on Sunday. https://punchng.com/why-consensus-may-not-work-for-presidential-primary-apc-chair/?utm_term=Autofeed&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1653535206 576 Likes 1 Share

On plans by the party to force a consensus, he said, “There is no truth in what you said. The reason is that the chairmanship seat is not the same as that of the tussle for the Presidency of the country. You can’t even compare the two of them. That question does not arise. We’ve said this severally but coconut head wailers keep flying fake news around to feel good. Those who are supporting aspirants whose only hope is to emerge by consensus or anointing can also give it a rest. A primary election will be conducted and the winner will be the party’s candidate. There won’t be any undemocratic imposition in APC. 690 Likes 18 Shares |

PrinceofLagos, truthisunique2, penguin2 and their co-travellers can go and rest now. This is the explanation we've been trying to offer them but their hate filled soul refused to adhere to reason. Now that you've heard from the chairman himself you people can rest in Jesus name amen. Kikikikikikiki....... nobody should flood my mention with hot tears please. 87 Likes 12 Shares |

Let’s meet at the polls to elect the presidential candidate. If our candidate lose at the primaries, we will give support to the winner and vice versa. That’s exactly how things should be. So Mr. Chairman is very right on this. 644 Likes 12 Shares |

I don't believe this politicians, they say one thing and do exactly the opposite, 29th is just 3days ahead let's watch and see what happens ... But Whether consensus or not, president Buhari has a candidate and his candidate will emerge as apc presidential flagbearer no matter the mode of primary election adopted 28 Likes 1 Share |

LegendHero: SW dominating the Apc presidential candidates is a tactics for the candidates to garner support all over the country and then back out at the last minute to support the preferred candidate. No loudness on that 14 Likes 1 Share |

Nebulax: If you know a thing about politics, you won’t be advocating for APC to impose someone as consensus instead of conducting a credible primary election. Consensus will ruin the party at this point. The only way to keep APC intact is for the party to conduct a free, fair and credible primary election. 614 Likes 8 Shares |

it is sad some people don't have a candidate to market but will rather look for fake news to promote if they think it will hurt the chances of Asiwaju. it is hard to understand the level of hate. they will even rather prefer Buhari to continue running Nigeria aground rather than see Asiwaju campaign work and win. its mind boggling. 44 Likes 4 Shares |

Buhari's candidate will still win regardless of the mode adopted. Signaling his direction is all it entails for most of the governors to fall in line. Not even Gandollar will dare swim against the tide. 4 Likes |

Do a free and fair primary and everybody will be fine with the outcome, lose or win. It was the same method that galvanized PMB/APC to dislodge PDP in 2015. BAT wins this! 578 Likes 4 Shares |

SledgeHammerer:lol, First of all the screening is postponed indefinitely, it's the publicity secretary that would come out as usual to issue press release on the new date and the screening committee Adamu didn't say who is screening who, more like we have the names and are screening it to ourselves which is a hoax All screening lists and process is always public As for the type of primary he just played you again 1 Like 1 Share |

Anybody that emerge as apc presidential candidate will win this election easily, kwankwaso left with his supporters, obi is also gone, south east turnout will be very low compared to past elections, lastly, apc is gaining more ground in SS 22 Likes 4 Shares |
