Not everyone solve a problem with violence neither with speed.

Where is the violence in my suggestion?

Are you cooking up excuses to dodge the apology? You must apologize for capping trash here.

What do you guys think? I should confront him or let it be?

Seems you are living in a free house or you stole the money you used to pay rent if not you will have enough right to open your door and ask him EXCUSE ME WHAT DO YOU WANT? when you ask him 2 or 3 times then he will get the message. If he no correct himself then na full time confrontation and warning.

You don't hesitate when handling such matters if not it will become tradition.

Buy a dog

Buy a machete and make sure he sees it the day you bring it in. Practice cutting down a random tree branch so that he can see how well you use it.

Bleep your gf or olosho very loudly

Play porn at high volumes so amebos can see his face whenever they investigate

Arrange a calabash with red cloth or idols on your verandah

When next he comes, go upstairs and sit by his own door or verandah without saying a word

The man maybe suspecting you with his wife, maybe he always hurriedly rushes down to your varanda each time his wife goes down stairs to get stuff to see if she entered your room, u self loose guard, how can u be playing ludo with a married woman

On a second thought, he may he harmless as your varanda gives him that perfect spot to reason well.

But op all the same, stop all communication with the wife and make it very obvious, u will see him stop suspecting you, plus allow your girlfriend visit more often, with that he will know u don't have time for his wife.

You made some points. I have definitely stopped the ludo stuff. He knows and sees my woman whenever she's around. So I don't think it's that. Thanks all the same

Hi guys..

There's something I would like to have y'all's opinion about.

My neighbour, male, married with children, always leaves his house to come to my veranda and stand. Especially when I'm indoors or he suspects that I'm out of the house.

Overtime I have tried to check his motive and I can't seem to find any ulterior motive. He will just leave his flat upstairs, come to my flat's Veranda in the ground floor and stand there, moping at empty space. If I come out from my parlour, we will greet and he will hurriedly leave

I'm beginning to find it not so funny. Should I confront him? From my investigations, he doesn't do anything, doesn't peep, but just stay there and be moping, sometimes with a bottle of water in hand.

Why always the front of my crib? If he needs a thinking session, he can as well use another place. What do you guys think? I should confront him or let it be?

Edited....

He has a young wife who used to come down stairs when she's bored to play ludo OUTSIDE with me and my friends if they come around.

This man's behaviour made me to stop the ludo thing. I no get strength abeg.

My door is always locked by the way but I just want to have different opinions about why he's always in my veranda when he has a house and family to go to

Put a small door at the entrance to your verandah.

Why exactly cant you put a door in another mans property.

I think that is your best solution if you do not feel like confronting him.

Just fix something that wont cost you so much.

If you feel uncomfortable, tell him to stop, he surely will.

Maybe your veranda is the coolest part of the compound, that's why everybody likes coming there. if you don't like him standing there, you can build an enclosure with mosquitoes nets and woods. Like in the picture attached. My Neighbor and his brothers are Yoruba nudists, they have to build this, so that no one can have easy access to their front door. No need to fight a good neighbor

Exactly!

I don't know what else he wants. He doesn't want to confront him. He doesn't want to build a barrier.

Yet he wants him to stop coming. He should continue to wait for a miracle

You can tell him softly that you're not comfortable having someone in your balcony. Tell him that you often feel uncomfortable in your apartment and you wouldn't mind if he can stop making your balcony busy with his presence.
You can tell his wife if you're not comfortable approaching him in person. Its your paid space even if he is the landlord.

Nailed it.
Just call the darn caretaker or landlord.
I used to have kids from virtually every other flat in my compound come to my verandah and play and mess up the space without cleaning up after themselves. I warned them to stay off. They didn't listen. Warned their irresponsible parents and that still didn't change anything.
Omo, I had to get the landlord involved, and that put paid to the nonsense. Although neigbourly relationships have strained since then, I believe it's for the best. Besides, these are times when children have been found to make false accusations against unsuspecting adults who've ended up in jail just for being nice.
Op needs to get the landlord involved, if the trespasser doesn't listen. Don't take chances.

He's the care taker. Ceremonial tho cos we no really get caretaker. He's acting as one since he's the longest staying tenant here.

And of course, each flat has its verandah. He started this when we started greeting well
