Goodevening all, i created a new profile as the old one has expired. However, i logged into my old profile and created a new one from there. The NOC i used in that old profile isnt same with the new one as the previous company has packed up(it was an online company and getting reference letter was going to be very easy) Unfortinately if you click on the old one, it cant be edited as the profile has expired. I'm worried this doesnt cause a problem or seen as misinterpretation. New profile has an entirely different Noc

..once your birthday is not soon...i think you will be fine...However,can't you increase your score further?

Birthday is in April. I started losing points since last year on this age issue, I guess I have some more time. Lost 10points so far.

Theres no other way except:

1. Claiming 15 points for my step sibling who has a PR (we can't find marriage certificate that binds his mother and my father).

2. Taking French exams for TEF (not an option for me, as may brain cannot carry that right now).

3. Rewiting to max IELTS to get extra 3points for my speaking to raise to 470

I doubt there's anything else apart from these.

...Congratulations.. Were you born in France? Wondering how you came about the citizenship.

Congratulations....Your generations unborn will thank you for this...You placed them on a higher pedestal through your dedication ,determination and discipline .

Hope to meet you some day.

Thanks. I was not born in France. I fulfilled the 5-year continuous stay as an employed resident. My wife (applied with me) and kids acquired citizenship at the same time.

If you do a 2-year masters in France all you need to do is to live and work a further 2 years and you become eligible to apply for citizenship.

..How far with this enquiry? gotten answers?

So we are looking at staying at Hamilton and we also plan to spend some time in Montreal since my family is French as well. We plan to use a hotel or airbnb to save cost.

Has any got any experience with renting cars through Turo?

Hello guys,

I see what you all are doing. I feel excited to be here and I know I will have my testimony from this thread also.
I have read page 1 and I quite understand much details about the EE now but I have several areas where I am confused.

I noticed some people are saying something about having 600 scores and even above 500 points. How was that possible, please?

I did my estimate, the highest obtainable CRS for me should be 471; Age - 110, Two or more degrees/diplomas - 128, English - 133, Language proficiency - 50, and foreign work experience - 50. I need your help, how can I boost this?

please note my details below and advise on what I can do to be eligible to enter the pool with high CRS;
My age: 26
Degree: Accounting
Certification: Chartered Accountant (ICAN)
Work Experience: over two years as an accountant
IELTS: Speaking - 7.5, Listening - 8, Reading - 8, and Writing 7.5.

Please, I need your advice and your opinion if I need to get a BCS certificate despite being a chartered accountant. I want to japa when I am still young abeg grin

Thank you

I am new here, and I am working on my brother to go to Canada, he scored 366 but he has a friend relation who gave him 50 scores in Manitoba province, and that made it to 406, now this scores is very low to the monthly draw so our chances is very small.

With HND in Engineering, 5 years working experience, in his early 30s, and these scores, what is the best way to go to Canada without Education, just go and work

We heard about provincial jobs unskilled labors that one can apply and get boost in scores, but need to understand how this goes.

Any Experience, any idea, what can we do, He just want to go to Canada

I don’t think your parents’ marriage certificate is necessary. What you need is your birth certificates showing u both have same father. Pictures as kids together could also help support this. Also, please confirm if he’s your step-brother or half-brother, cos they’re 2 different things and we tend to use them interchangeably

Read up on this. @graciouswords please you coul chime in if you have more info on this. Thanks

If your application was rejected and you're invited to create a new one, will the VO check and compare your previous application with the new one?

A sibling directly from my mother's side or father's side would make that sibling my half-sibling.

In this case, we are actually step siblings. My father married his mother, we don't have common parents.
So we would need a document that showed the union between both parents and then submitting birth certificates of the two of us showing the names of the respective parents.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by ciwi: 11:03pm On Jul 03, 2022
ok I understand better now.

However, u could still give it a shot. See attached. It mentions something about proving that the relationship between the parents is not broken down. I’m just thinking we can brainstorm cos 15 points seems like a lot to leave on the table. Maybe an affidavit saying the certificate is lost, or an LOE saying that they’re married according to native law and custom, then attach photos of the wedding/marriage ceremony, then maybe anniversary celebration photos to prove that they’re still married

I have over 2 years experience. I will be entering the pool later this year and my experience length will be 3 years by that time.

If this is about ECA for Bachelors of Law rejection.......... There are 2 judicial cases where 2 different judges lambasted VOs for not awarding the points for professional degree and instead rejected the applications by reducing CRS when they awarded points for Bachelors. If this is the case no issues at all IMO. Add LOE and print these judgements for the new application.

If this is not the case, then it depends on the information that caused the previous rejection. They typically compare all the information they have on an applicant (to see if there has been any misrepresentation, I guess). I would say include an LOE to explain any differences.

I agree with Ciwi, 15 points is a lot to leave on the table. If they were legally married, consider going to the registry where they married, to see if a copy of the certificate can be found.

Your parents do not have to be married though, a common law relationship suffices. Check if there are any documents that shows a common law relationship, if they were not legally married but are in a common-law relationship. These are the things that IRCC asks common law applicants to provide, you could replicate for your parents:

*The applicant must submit a Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union form [IMM 5409 (PDF, 636.51KB)] and evidence of cohabitation for a period of at least 12 continuous months.
*Evidence of cohabitation includes but is not limited to
-copies of joint bank account statements;
-copies of leases;
-utility bills.

But you need to pick one, they are either legally married or in a common law relationship not both (I think)

Also consider retaking IELTS for the extra 3 points. These 2 things can take you to 485.

OINP have a tech stream/HCP where people have got nominations, search OINP Tech/HCP Draw here on NL and also on Canada.visa

https://www.ontario.ca/page/oinp-tech-draws
https://www.ontario.ca/page/oinp-express-entry-notifications-interest

The draws are special Human Capital Priority (HCP) draws for the following NOCs:

Software engineers and designers (NOC 2173)
Computer programmers and interactive media developers (NOC 2174)
Computer engineers (NOC 2147)
Web designers and developers (NOC 2175)
Database analysts and data administrators (NOC 2172)

Max possible score for someone below 30 with 2 degrees, 3 years work experience, without a sibling in Canada is 474. With a Masters that increases to 481. With TEF (French) you'd be above 500.

Please carefully study page 1 for more details. Looks like ICAN is not being accepted as a second degree (search ICAN ACCA ECA on NL for more info, I think ACCA will fly if you have that). You are still young!

No issues if the NOC on your old/expired profile is different from the NOC on your new profile. It could be for the reason you just explained, it could even be that the person discovered there is another NOC that better reflects their JD.

You can even change your NOC post ITA if you find that you have previously chosen an incorrect one, see FAQ 26 and 27 on page 1 (so long as you are not PNP whose nomination was directly linked to the previous NOC)

Hello All,

My story. Apologies I do not know all the acronyms.

We decided to apply for Canada Express entry as a back up as we were not too sure about our French citizenship application because of time spent outside France. I am just over 40 and my wife is just under 40. So if you are under 30, you have got no excuses.

TEF - 10/2019 (Paris) - C2, C2,C1,B2
IELTS - 12/2019 (Paris) - 8.5, 7, 7. 8.5
IELTS wife - 02/2020 (Paris) - 7,5,6.5,7.5

We forgot about the Canada thing until I got a message inviting us for ITA after an increase in points thanks to French language.

ITA - 12/2020
PR Application - 02/2021
Medical passed in 2021, extended by one year to 02/2022
Biometric (Paris) - 06/2021
Background check complete - 04/2022
Application approved - 06/2022
Expecting COPR + passports by DHL next week

--------------------------------------------------

Application for French nationality - 07/2021
French citizenship Interview - 01/2022
Confirmation of French citizenship for myself, wife and 3 kids - 06/2022

Canada PR + French citizenship confirmed in 06/2022

FrenchHome:

Thanks. I was not born in France. I fulfilled the 5-year continuous stay as an employed resident.

If you do a 2-year masters in France all you need to do is to live and work a further 2 years and you become eligible to apply for citizenship.

Congratulations!

Studying in France for Citizenship in 5 years is another alternative to Japa, never heard of this! Was your Masters taught in French or English?

Thank you for your kind response @GraciousWords. She is less than 30, with a single degree planning to write IELTS.

I’m considering BCS exams. It’s cheaper than ACCA and CIMA and I learnt that WES doesn’t evaluate the results when you take exemptions from some of the papers.

Thanks for your response. I actually got rejected on this basis. People here told me to do IQAS (which I eventually did after I got rejected) but I did strong head and went ahead with my WES report. I remember I messaged IRCC on Facebook to ask if it was okay and they said yes. I attached the message they sent me and took screen shots of the page talking about a Law degree being a First Professinal degree and wrote an LOE explaining why I picked FPD even though my WES report stated otherwise. The wicked VO still rejected my application.
COVID now happened and time has now gone.
I wish I had applied for judicial review *shakes head*
