I initially applied for a tourist visa on February 19th because of the short processing time as of then. When there was no response, I had to apply for SOWP on July 7th and PPR on August 10th few days after my birthday.

From personal experience, Abuja returned stamped passport within 1 week, while Lagos took 3 weeks.

Congratulations. I have a similar case , husband PPR dropped july 4 th and son medicals dropped same day. We tried to wait but it wasn’t coming so we had to send my husband passport. Now the issue is the passport has not been stamped since July 22 nd ,@doree how many weeks did your husband passport use when it went for stamping?Secondly what email did you direct your complaint to ? Thank you

My kids passport was returned today in 9days sent from lagos. These guys do not have any particular pattern.

I did , they replied that it is under processing with the embassy that I should send a mail to the embassy.

SOWP, VV and Study permit are all temporary visas (same intent) so if you apply for all 3 or 2 of them at the same time, one might be withdrawn for the other. Hence its not advisable.
Express entry is for PR application (a different intent).
You can have a PR application and a temporary visa application being processed at the same time (dual intent) but not two or more temporary visa applications.

Hello MumTee,

IRCC will not send any notification. The most recent application in processing will be finalized. On a side note, either a work permit or study permit can be approved along with a visitor's visa.

please if for example a husband and wife apply for study permit and both of them were granted the study visa, but what their plan is, is for one person to school, they both applied incase one person is granted and the other one is not. is it possible to change one to SOWP.

I would suggest you both should arrive Canada first then use an immigration lawyer to argue out why you want to drop and rather apply for SOWP inland, you can as well do the application yourself if you are sure you can logically argue your case.

However, it was the third one that got back with a reply, and attached the PPR. The reply came at almost the same time with the famous DO NOT REPLY email though.

I suggest you send a webform and an email to IRCC informing them that you had undergone a medical examination already. Attach your e-medical sheet to the webform and the email.

You could also go to the hospital that conducted the examination to confirm that your results have indeed been sent to IRCC.
