IEBC is trying to hold a ground for nego before an unpredictable nightmarish announcement takes place! They have 7days to verify and announce the results; that is something which can be done with due diligence and meticulously within a day.

The more you delay the more you give room for the losing party to change figures and create confusion.

In Ghana, our 2 main Political parties have their own collation centers at Districts, Regional and National level so 24-48 hours after election they would have gotten the results from all the voting centers across country. They know the final results even before our Electoral commission will come out to announce to the public.
