Well, CBD will not allow u park on that kerb u just pointed out, I know it for a fact. CBD in junction with LASTMA patrol the whole Broad street , Marina and other part of central business district in Lagos Island and tow vehicles parked either on the kerb or anywhere not within ur premises .

Anywhere u see people parking outside on CBD in lagos , it’s because some agberos are collecting money there trust me .

If you go to places in Ikeja,
you'll see some companies using those places to park cars, and you'll see the Laspark sign there too.

It means those companies are paying for it. I have seen it before

When you served back the guy that was attacking you lightly, Should you be condemned for it?
that's the hypocrisy.

They use their own bias to justify nonsense.

Personally, I don't have any problem with anyone attacking anybody as long as you can take what you dish out.

But these people want to attack and the person they are attacking to just say thank you sir.

Then if you serve them their own medicine, you are the hateful bad guy.

Well, I’m not conversant with Ikeja axis like Lagos island sha .

I know for a fact that if u park for that Western house front, ur vehicle go don reach Lion Building before u even enter and settle
down for the place u dey go sef grin

On Lagos island most of those parking spaces are owned and administered by touts . If u don’t give them money , by the time
U come out of whatever office u are going u will look for ur vehicle and won’t find it…… u go check inside gutter sef u won’t find it.

unless your org has the money for a big plot of land, you will hear it

everybody jus dey run their own parking hustle.

i guess the govt is now muscling in on it

but 300k? in this fking buhari economy? and that parking has no guarantee. you car is still parked at your own risk

This even shouldn't be an argument at all, but we must sha blame the government one way or the other.

We are paying 3dhrs per hour (about 500 naira) for parking on the Road. At Apartment, we are still paying per Month, despite paying house rent on monthly basis too.

Development ain't gonna fall from heaven. Government need fund to build and maintain Infrastructures.

Use Google Maps.

Ask around before you enter any street or road

Look at how cars are parked. If they are facing one direction, it probably means its a one way.

Look out for road signs.

But the best option is Park your car at home and use public transport grin

That’s the life they live on Lagos island , it’s a 4cking racket. The least u will pay is 30k once those tout is uniform strikes .

The funny thing is u may even see vehicles parked in that same street not towed cos whoever is controlling that space rogers them
Steady .

For people who are government apologist and those who lap at every official jargon the government throws out to explain these things , they will think it’s normal for u to have ur vehicle towed since the place is not an authorized garage/park, but they don’t know it’s the hypocrisy of having some vehicles towed and others left as they are that is annoying . It will surprise u that some of those fines do not really get to the government’s coffers sef, but end up in pockets of touts and the so called enforcement agents

Most times, Google is correct.

It's just that these LG guys change it often. Today, here is one way. Tomorrow the other entrance is one way.

He can also ask bystanders. Lagosians are good at helping in issues like these

It's really difficult checking out for cars that are parked facing one way.

By then those local government boys go just clamp you

so in 2014 , i went for lagos state driving training.

the guy doing the training was a traffic consultant

he said that all over the world, traffic fines are low

and that was what he advised LASG to do - but they decided instead to turn traffic fines into a revenue drive

the moment you make trafic fines exorbitant, you are setting up a racket. that is also why they like to strike on friday - because even if you a stubborn person who says he will pay the fine, you can be delayed till monday. also, they will start to ask for different lagos documents, esp tax clearance.

all this means that traffic offenses are, as you said a racket for numerous lagos task force to chop money

best you can do is transfer, after which you can maybe trap them

i had an issue with frsc - my car was supposed to have a speed limiter [ it actually did, i just did not know]. fine was 5k
with fines like that, what racket can you run?

this is my issue

Wike should have done all this in 2019

this is atiku's last chance to be president. there is no way he would not have pulled every dirty trick in the book to secure the nomination, gentleman's agreement be damned

instead he unlooked as atiku and saraki, who bleeped over pdp in 2015, calmly walked back in like nothing happened

pdp has already been confirmed to be money for hand back for ground . 2019 was the time to cock block atiku. maybe atiku would have been in LP today cheesy

Wike’s pain is undeteatndable tho.

Atiku has not been a man for the party that one would’ve expected him to be considering he was one of the founding fathers of PDP way back. Since the emergence of Buhari as the president in 2015 Atiku just took the backstage and didn’t really step up like most of the party faithfuls would expect him to as an eler; rather he just runs off to Dubai, come back during the 2019 elections , threw couple of millions her and there and banked on “northerner tax “ to get the ticket .

After losing 2019 elections he ghosted the party and only comes back again to contest under the same party he has not really done much to ensure it’s growth nor continued survival after they lost the biggest elective seat in the country .

Normally Atiku deserves the maximum shege he’s getting now , it’s just that Wike could have actually dealt with him without these open tantrums he’s been throwing here and there . I mean Wike could’ve worked against him without showing his cards like he’s doing now . If Wike is not careful , he might end up losing on all ends . Even if he works against Atiku and Tinubu wins, Tinubu’s camp won’t trust him to really give him whatever he will think he deserves for a job Weldone…. They may even sideline him. And then there’s still no assurance that whoever he imposes as his stooge in Rivers state after him will remain loyal to him for long .

i will always say wike is just a local govt chairman level person elevated by patience johnatan

he has been wielding ph money over the rest of pdp like a sword - but he has no people skills

he is going to align with whoever he thinks will win the election. that is the only way he can retain some relevance once he leaves office

otherwise, he will just vanish. the people in pdp only tolerate him imho because of PH money. take that away and he is just a loud mouthed, misyarning arsehole

as for PDP the biggest albatross on the party was its 16 years at the center. so they never learned to fight. all they know how to do is share money.

they need a leader or personality with teh discipline and tenacity of the Tinubu you love to hate. without that, they will continue to flounder and open leg for political asahawos like atiku

If that’s Wike’s end game, then he needs not throw this much tantrums then. Tinubu or Atiku emerging as president won’t be much headache for him. None of those corrupt two will carry EFCC for head and start touch-lighting other corrupt public office holders like Wike na . Even if they do, Wike has enough coverings to come out unscathed from whatever corruption charges that will be leveled against him. Wike’s wife is a judge that obviously knows the law and knows people in other courts of higher jusrisdiction, their are enough SAN’s that will defend him successfully at a reduced rate sef ……..

I don’t think Wike is bothered about any possible investigations into his reign in Rivers’ state , I think he’s more concerned about his relevance in national politics post 2023 general elections .
