This government is a comedy aswear.
Meanwhile, why has Tinubu failed to resolve this ASUU issue? I remember the fanfare from urchins that accompanied Tinubu promise to resolve this ASUU strike.
grin grin grin grin cheesy cheesy
Tinubu is not your president yet nor is he the minister in any of the government body, let the generous talented old man become president he will check into educational systems in the whole Nigeria and make them better just like he settled all the educational systems in Lagos when he was the governor 1999-2007, that's another medium for our campaigns grin grin
Jagaban the best governor in the whole history of Nigeria.

Oga I refuse to agree with you on this. Even if these lecturers are given millions, some of them still have nothing to offer. The students still do most of the research work just to scale through school
who do you expect to do the research work before? Are you expecting a lecturer to do the research work of his/her student? From the way you've talked Soo far, I can conclude that you're probably still a student in a private university that doesn't know what responsibility is all about or you have parent's that still pay your bills or maybe work in an organization that pay crazy money so you don't know the brunt other people are facing......even if some don't have anything to offer, does that mean they should die in penury because they're university lecturers abi. All the leaders elected into office collecting millions of naira every month, how many of them has any reasonable thing to offer? If they do, why has Nigeria retard for the past 7 years plus? Did you for once say they should stop their salaries or reduce it since they've not done anything to improve the lives of Nigerians? In all you do, just know we're all humans at the end of the day.

Most of us attended/are attending public universities.
Even when they are not on strike and are getting paid. They don't give their best, they take it as part time work because it's government work so it's all the same.
is it getting paid that's the problem or the value of your pay? You want them to kill themselves on salaries that is close to nothing as pay? If you want them to serve you, it's money you pay for services. The difference between a 10 million a night hotel and 5 thousand a night hotel is my services you get to enjoy.

he can go and do bricklayer since he doesn’t like the terms of lecturing
I don't you're working now? You're probably still schooling or maybe a corp member so you don't know anything yet. You'll soon start working that is if you don't struggle to get one and you'll see if you can repeat this statement then.

That's why we should advise them to seek for better jobs, that will pay them handsomely.
Absconding from your place of work for 8 months and going to lament on social media about empty stomach is not the solution and it's just pure comedy.

Maybe he's trying to present the fact that lecturers always force students to carry out research in areas of the lecturer's specialization without considering the students interest.
They will tell you vividly that they want you to work on areas that will benefit them.

Before the strike, a lot of our first-class graduates were declining the offer of graduate assistant position. The number will increase in geometric proportion in the coming years...

Before now, brilliant students were leaving the country to study in the West, most on full Scholarship. Majority don't return and will not return after their M.Sc/PhD. The number will increase now that the UK, US, Canada, Australia and others are giving work permit like crazy to students and increasing work hours. If the tuition fee is increased, we will promoting brain drain as we know it.

why do you keep talking as if you're not in Nigeria? How many jobs are even available in this country talk more of better jobs? If you don't know, many people are suffering and smiling in a so called supposed job and when some decided to protest poor conditions and pay in their jobs, folks like you have decided not to be empathic.

Protesting by going on strike for 8 months without considering the effects of such strike on students

it's not a new thing for lecturers to make you work in their field of interest. Same applies abroad. Infact, if you're looking for scholarship abroad, you must go and check on what your supposed supervisor/sponsor is working on and fit into his/her design if not, you're on your own. That's how academia work, you have to fit into something reasonable and viable and not some cooked up stories you present as research project.

we all have experienced ASUU strike one way or the other but it's not fair that the people training the citizens of the Nation have nothing to call their own and are the worst state of living. Why can't government do the needful. But if it's to share monies amongst themselves as government officials, they will gladly do it.
