RepoMan007:I wonder how immigrants are faring after the invasion. There are 2 Nigerian guys here that were vocal and posts on nairaland about Russia. One even has a YouTube account. They have both gone silent and haven't posted on either Nairaland or Youtube since the invasion started. I find that very strange. I hope they are safe wherever they are after all the news of conscription. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Why Western Countries Are Interested in Maintaining Energy Poverty in Africa. "The West’s exploitation of Africa’s wealth is driven by two factors," explained Dr. Mamdouh G. Salameh, an international oil economist and a global energy expert. "The first is the old racist view that African people are backward and inferior to Western people and therefore can’t defend themselves or protect their natural resources. In a nutshell, it is doable. The second factor is greed and profit, which are the core of the Western capitalist system of taking advantage of poor and helpless people and exploiting their resources without letting them benefit the slightest from their stolen resources. That is how Western empires were built in Africa and around the world in the 19th and 20th centuries." "Western countries have consistently ignored Africa’s energy resources for years declining to offer investments as long as they didn’t need these resources at the time," he said. "But in the aftermath of the Ukraine conflict and having introduced sweeping sanctions against Russia, the European Union is trying to curry favor with African hydrocarbon producers to reduce its dependence on Russia’s gas and oil supplies." |

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said there is no need for more massive strikes on Ukraine, days after the heaviest bombardment of the country since the war began. I'm guessing that means that they've basically run out of missiles that they're prepared to use up for now. meanwhile belgorod Russia is receiving it hot this evening from Ukraine. 1 Like |

gambojimeta: This is the reason. Russia is running out of precision missiles because they are very expensive to manufacture. They have just about 600 of those left except they are able to get from China or Iran. With no access to chipboards and ICs, their military industry complex is really suffering. Infact, Belarus is now being used as a mechanic yard for Russian tank repairs now. 2 Likes

29pm No more need for massive strikes on Ukraine – Putin Most of the sites targeted by Russia have been hit, the president explained There is currently no need for additional large-scale missile strikes on Ukrainian targets, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday. the Russian military is now pursuing other objectives, as only seven of some 29 targets designated by Russia’s Defense Ministry were not hit in a bombardment earlier this week. “But these objects are being finished off gradually. There is no need for massive strikes, at least for now,” Putin said. I personally disagree with President Putin on this. More missile strikes will bring those Banderites to their senses quicker. But he knows best. 1 Like 1 Share |

Putin's nuclear-capable bombers are normally stationed at Olenya airbase, but have been moved much closer to Norway. There are 11 there now and their nuclear weapons can reach America and all of Europe.
