1400 cedis is around 42,000 Naira using the same google exchange rate

Without subsidy, filling a 60 litre car at 800/litre will cost #48000......... I've been trying to google price of petrol in Nigeria now as I no even know lol

It's between 185-200 here in PHC so its still impossible to spend 48k weekly on fuel if you don't drive interstate.

Bolt drivers who are on the road from morning till night only spend 4-5k daily on fuel.

That's what I'm saying. Our fuel is cheap.

Nobody will remove fuel subsidy until we have enough refineries to locally produce the fuel we need for local consumption.

I hope there will be check in place when the refinery is completed so the marketers won't smuggle to Ghana and co, creating scarcity and an increased price for us

I agree, it's insanely cheap in Nigeria....

It is correct. Since Ghana redominated their currency in 2007 or so, they removed three zeros from their money.

That 1400 in the real sense is 140k.

The naira is a stronger currency to the cedis
I think it was 4 zero, so that 1400cedis would be 1.4mcedis.

They might have hoarded it b4 now but..i still see refilling in some stations that are out of fuel just to sell 4 270 ....
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 3:16pm On Nov 09, 2022
Ghana redominated it's currency in 2007 so the true value would read

1,400,000 cedis=72k

When Nigeria removes subsidy based the estimated price of what it will be per litre currently (N420) you probably pay 21-23k for a full tank of petrol that's a lot but still well below 72k.

Segedinho:

wow.

1400 cedis=72k....

We are doomed in this country

Most of these prices are just man's wickedness to man.

The landing cost of fuel is 170-172. Add transport and other miscellaneous. It should push it to almost 180.

200 is ideal for any station that fears God and loves mankind

All these 270 - 300 na just our fellow man trying to rip off his struggling brothers

The same thing I said about the price of rice that was skyrocketing.

Nigerians just love fast avenue for profit.

We really need that consumer price board.

worked in the downstream sector before japa.... There is also cost of storage which runs into millions, cost of bribing at Apapa where one tanker pays thousands of Naira

There's also cost of licensing, bribing DPR officials which is another millions..... then we get down to other operating expenses

Let's not forget going concern as they need enough profit so when shiit hits the fans, they still remain in business

Without subsidy, I reckon it shout be between 250 to 300 Naira........ They still thieves though as they pay their workers peanuts and pocket the said profits for personal enjoyment

Lagos is selling at 180 to 200.

Outside Lagos, it goes for almost 250 to 300.

So does it mean that Lagos marketers don't pay all these dues you listed?

Bros, its greed. Especially those one-man fueling stations.

Oga go just call, put price as e like, and people go dey buy.

When fuel was 170, why was it the same all over the country?

Surely they are thieves, plus they easily sell in Lagos

But let’s also factor in the extra cost… I just took a screenshot of petrol prices in my area…

While people lament they are buying at $2plus… I buy $1.69 closer to my place…

The Government of Nigeria is subsidising PMS. So the RRP should be even

It was even and slightly higher when we were at 170. There was no fueling station selling 200 or 250 then

How come we have a difference of almost 100 naira in some states?

Wicked, heartless greed, my brother

Speaker Nancy Pelosi won her re-election, she’s 82 year old and has represented California's 11th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives since 1987. Her opponent? John Dennis, a 59 year old man.

Transport cost of the fuel from Lagos to Benin will make it more expensive. I feel some places in the North dem fit dey pay 400 per liter
