you sure ? cos it was clearly stated the date my overstay will expired ,Its then and after then I think I can reapply,I just want to be sure before I do anything or take a step .
I’m 100% sure boss. Anyone with a ban has to first apply for an upliftment before reapplying. Coz your name is already in the system. Someone has to remove it from the system. Don’t rush to reapply or you’ll be wasting your money and time. You can call or email VFS to verify. They’ll give you the contact of who to write at DHA for your upliftment. Cheers.

Quick one please, when someone have a study visa to study in University of Pretoria, does it mean that learner can’t travel to any other location in SA other than Pretoria. like CapeTown Stellenbosch Durban, Johannesburg. The learner must be at Pretoria at all time

No. A study visa is a type of long term temporary residency visa that allows the international student to legally stay in South Africa for the period and school indicated on the visa vignette. Therefore, you are not restricted to Pretoria; you can move in and around South Africa. However, the restriction is that you cannot use a study visa to enjoy any benefits outside the scope of the benefits offered by your study visa e.g. you are not allowed to work with a study visa. You’ll need a work visa to do this.

Also, you cannot study in another institution with that same visa as the visa vignette carries the details of UP only. You will need to apply for another study visa to study in another institution.

Please, any latest updates with regards to SA Visa.

I applied for a one year Study Visa for a PhD research bench work since on 5th July, 2022, and until now, I haven't heard anything from the Embassy or VFS

Though, I am aware of issues like backlog, adjudication at DHA and other stories... But please, is there anyone that applied within that time and have gotten response from them?

Thank you.

Yes, I have been checking it... The update: Your application is received and under assessment at "The South Africa High Commission, Abuja"

That's why, I wished to know if anyone that submitted around that time has gotten response.

Good day good people. I applied for South African visa since May but finally got response yesterday concerning my application but since I try to login to the website https://ehome.dha.gov.za/epermit/dashboard/dashboard I can’t login and it’s giving the error I attach in the first picture.
The second picture is the email I received which am not sure if they issue me the visa.

Please anyone who gave same issue and later rectify it should please guide me so I can login.

Thanks so much

Hello house.
I’m planning to apply for a visa for my Postdoc
fellowship in RSA. Please, I need your kind guidance in selecting the right category of visa on the VFS website. My colleagues from other countries, especially India, do select the Research visa which is a sub category under Visitors visa. However, that option is not available from Nigeria.
Thanks in advance as I hope to be properly guided.

Is your visa out Dr?

P.S: The Postdoctoral fellowship is for a period of 2 years.

I submitted my application as postdoc fellow by applying for the visitor's visa. That's what you are to apply for as well. I'm still awaiting my passport from the South African embassy in Lagos since 12th of January.

I heard Lagos embassy isn’t treating visa applications for now, even new applications are forwarded to Abuja for processing. I guess that’s why yours is stucked.
