Saka was their best player and he did the "Southgate thing" by removing his best attacking threat....I was happy when Southgate removed him because Saka left the game unscathed which is everything I was praying for.

Also, no one will blame him for the loss and when that DIRT missed the PK, you should have seen me!!! Outside of the fact that it was against my team, knowing it was the DIRT that missed it, I was overwhelmed with joy!!!

The chemistry and mood in our locker room is great, the players feel supported, safe and comfortable around each other, so I am happy they are all back together.

Rashford has to return to a disunited, uncertain and troubled Manchester United locker room which makes transitioning back to the league after a tough ending to the WC even harder; thank goodness we don't have that problem.

Absolutely! Our players understand this and that is why there is real excitement and motivation to return immediately after the WC. I mean, Arteta may have set the expectation before they left for the WC, especially when you consider our goal for the season. However, you can see the players love each other and look forward to returning to that space where they feel safe, protected, comfortable and can be genuinely happy, not because the camera is rolling.

Some players from other competing teams that played in the WC are returning to unstable and toxic locker rooms, this makes it even more difficult for them to transition out of the disappointment.
