Most of them were shouting Atiku Kawai in 2019. No surprise there.

Nigerian elections are not fought and won on Twitter, although social media is certainly a factor, especially for young people. But overall, elections are won by effective structural presence and mobilization at the micro levels st polling units, mainly in rural areas. Kingsley Moghalu

Is Atiku relevant? He's just a Dubai-based Sowore at the moment.

Everyone knows BAT and Obi are the front-runners currently on social media at least.

I'm not even sure Atiku's mum loves him without paper unlike BAT/Obi

This shouldn't surprise you, given that things were better with PDP/Atiku at the centre. Even OasisX has said he wishes things could go back to 2009 less than 2 years after The PDP government with Obasanjo/Atiku left power.

If you know Igbo people you will know that loyalty to an individual is almost forbidden. Igbo eweghi eze. They won't even vote for Peter Obi if they don't see credibility.

I have personally been on the streets in the SE regions. The major challenge facing Obi is actual turnout. There's a lot of voter apathy here. But if they do turn out, it's one way traffic. And the fact is right now, the only hope they have for a better and inclusive Nigeria is Peter Obi. There is genuine trust. If you enter bus and say one thing against PO you will see the backlash.

You may see the crowds as they can be easily mobilised. Igbo man nor send anybody, even including PO- Igbo eweghi eze. When the time comes they know who to follow. They base their judgement on credibility.

If you read the earlier part of his post, he talks about the problem of voter apathy which is the number one problem of Igbo people.

His post is suggesting is that igbos are less malleable than other groups to be told what to do by "certain leaders". Their own bad leadership is caused by the fact that they don't care about politics unlike northerners for example who do care but vote based on direction.

For instance, a northern house of rep member is in the news for telling his constituents that if they don't vote for him, he will deal will them and after the outcry, he still came out boldly to defend it that that's how they play their politics. For a southerner, that would be death knell on the persons political career. Think ohakim of imo state or Chris uba or Anambra.

Have you seen the quality of governors since 1999. Ohakim TA Orji, Ikpeazu, Ugwuanyi, Chime, Mbadinuju Obi, Obiano etc are all judgment based on credibility?

Anambra has voted APGA for the past 20yrs straight, Enugu Abia Ebonyi have all voted PDP whether na devil dey ballot for the past 24yrs

Probably once you are in APGA in Anambra you become credible and once you are in PDP in Abia Enugu Ebonyi, you become credible

It seems like a crazy question, but exactly how good a businessman is Elon Musk. I am not talking innovation or genius.

Doc, for me, it may be untrue and seemingly unfair to not refer to Musk as a good businessman. I guess the sticking point is “good”, how good and to what extent? I mean, we are talking about a man who has successfully floated numerous small chip companies and sold them off for way more than his original investment.

This is a man who has been successful at selling his Tesla innovations including Space X at a time not too many people were willing to take the risk and has made billions from marketing his product to a targeted market. Not forgetting x.com and PayPal.

Problem is, as he has evolved over the years with the successes, he started overstating his business acumen/ abilities and is now making ego driven business decisions that are now costing him. When you look closely at the popular billionaires they are publicly apolitical. It doesn’t mean they don’t have political views but they understand it has to remain private for the most part because it will impact their businesses and products.

He seems to now believe he is now more of a businessman than he is an innovator and engineer. Also, I don’t think he is doing a great job at listening to his advisers.

Elon simply went against the left, The media does not have a problem with other billionaires when they align towards the left, Its only when they turn to the other side that we start all these analysis of their political leanings

All what Elon was doing at Twitter, that seemed to favor the right, Twitter was doing it for years to favor the left and no one had a problem with it

Facebook and Twitter even admitted they suppressed news that they felt was unfavorable to the left

Today is the day to remember that every PDP government from 1999 promised to build and complete the 2nd Niger bridge. It was in every campaign and every successive government claimed they had released billions to finalize it. It was never done.

GEJ even had a whole ceremony to commission an architectural prototype (more like building design plan) and people still refer to it till date as if it meant eff all. If shamelessness had an icon smh.

Never forget that the CBN was using billions of dollars per month to subsidize the FX rate to keep it looking normal, even though artificially, but you did not benefit from it no matter how you try to pretend on here. It was NIA DGs, SSS DGs, former NSAs, former NNPC GMDs like Andrew Yakubu etc that had the luxury of stashing $51M (NIA) and $8M (Andrew) in condominiums in Ikoyi and dilapidated mud houses in Kaduna, respectively, that benefitted from it. Houses both men never lived in.

Never forget in the great economy where everything was fine and dandy; Nigeria borrowed monies to pay salaries. Salaries. During a so-called GREATEST economy in Africa.

The people who love NOI now (And by the way, she cannot hold a candle to Soludo but I digress) will forget that she tried to resign because she knew the evil they had done to the economy. She knew there was no difference between Jonathan's pocket, PDPs pocket and Nigeria's pocket as all 3 were the same. She knew the coup they did on SLS when he exposed the goings-on behind the scenes... herself and Deziani got that man fired because he would not keep shut. But today is not the day.

Revisionist nonsense would have you forget that Jonathan swore he only wanted 1 term after Yar Adua and then bribed his way to run again hence all the Dasuki money he pumped into useless traditional leaders and some so-called Men of Self God; the frequency of plane crashes Nigeria had between 2010-2015 was unprecedented because every government parastatal did what they liked. Decrepit planes were allowed to hover our airspace, NCAA and the likes got kickbacks to subvert due process, malfunctioning engines were approved as up-to-date. I served in Lagos in 2012 and ran into other IJGB people with fake "init init" who drove S-class Mercedes Benzes courtesy of parents that worked in the ministry of Agriculture. Are you kidding me?

Who disobeyed rule of law more than PDP? More than Jonathan the gentleman? Who? When Tambuwal was jumping fences as the Speaker of the House it was under which govt -pray, tell me? Which government had directors of FG parastatals donating monies from their parastatals for presidential elections PUBLICLY? I mean we know even this govt does it, but at least they tried to hide to do it but not PDP and Goatluck Jonadunce! He institutionalized, propagandized, and even revolutionized corruption.

Nigerians are not ready.

Let me use your state as an example

Orji Uzor Kalu ruled for 8 years, and changed party to PPA

After then, he put his stooge T A Orji who ruled for 8 years and went to Senate.

What happened next? Orji put another stooge in the person of Ikpeazu that has been a disgrace to Igboland till this day.

So, it's either the bolded statement is a lie or you are indirectly calling the Igbos "fools", since this is your definition of credible leaders

If you want that of Enugu, Imo, or Ebonyi, please let me know.

When we address this, we can move to voter apathy

I'm sure I didn't mention credible leaders in my post.
Clearly you did not understand my post or his post which you responded to.

Let me use numbers, there are 100 People in a class, the vast majority of them are not malleable to directives politically but then they don't even care about who leads them.

Out of that 100 People, only 10 people do vote which makes it easier for all types of leaders to spring up because the small electorate can be more easily manipulated.

Now in the other class, 60 out of the 100 do vote but they vote based on instructions from their leaders whether the leaders are good or bad.

Now get the baseline of this argument. BOTH do have bad leaders but the reasons for that are different. That's the point for the most part.
