Ogboni go and sit down.Stop reasoning like Olodo you are.Ordinary Niger Republic has more structure than South East &South South combined together,&you are here praising Ordinary Bridge as if he was elected to do that!! After all, the money used in executing that project is stil our own oil money generated from South East and South South Oil wealth.

Caseless:
if they don't deserve to be commended for what they have done, why do we criticize them for failing to do them?

Why do we vote them back on their scorecard?

You went to school to graduate with a first class and you did graduate with a first class, why should you be awarded scholarships or celebrated?

You think by being elected to do it, it's that simple - you need to find a way to do it even when it appears impossible or there is no funding to. That's where leadership comes in. That's what they're being praised for. Leaders are the causes of every problem in your life, but they should not be praised when they get something right. Hypocrite!

You people truncate your own line of thought.
1. If you employ someone to do a job he would be paid for, if the person does the job well, wouldn't it be salary that would be exchanged for the services he/renders......do you throw a public party to celebrate the work he/she has done for you? We employ these leaders, if they can't do the job, they should exit. It's that simple, and that's why you see abroad that a leader resigns of he/she can't deliver but over here they want you to praise them for their failures and their job.

2. you and I know very well that in Nigeria, a corrupt leader can decide to stay for as long as he/she wishes. They will rig, adjust the constitution to favour themselves. You can't even feign ignorance with this.

3. Well, if that's your mentality to graduated with first class and get free scholarship, then you're just delusional because lots of people have that first class that don't even have jobs. Gone are the days you will see just one graduate from a whole state. It's no bad idea to celebrate yourself having achieved that feat but better hustle and get the job done if not you'll wallow in poverty.

4. If it's not simple, how comes they make all those promises before election of making the country a paradise then when elected start giving excuses. You say there is no fund, but accountant general are stealing and stashing our common wealth, going free without prosecution abi? It's clear you don't even know your right as a citizen. You should go back and update yourself on your basic duties and benefits you stand to enjoy when you abide by those rules. Bigger hypocrite!

Thank you for raising this point. Because I don't know how people will just come on public forum like this to deceive multitude of Nigerians like this because of hatred, and some time l almost believe nothing was going on this bridge.

Take your importation business and shove it where the sun don't shine.

Same you would be talking about the Naira exchange when all you think about is how to impose your fake, low quality and non essential goods across the length and breadth of the country.

Shove it.

Much Ado about a bridge...

A bridge that would be repaid several folds by Ndigbo.

Why didn't they just come together and build it as a ppp project? Even huge mansions in the east have unbarred roads.

This is not limited to igbos. Nigerians have a greater sense of self than they do community. Community is only an avenue to show off job well they are doing

That is how hate works. Makes you see things that don't exist and deny things that do, depending on the swing of your emotions.

I don't understand this post. Goodluck was President for 6 years. He was the first person to take this project serious. He awarded the project and gave down payment for the project and the project kicked off only for him to be kicked out with the help of America and other superpowers. Buhari came in and started playing politics with it and delayed the project for 8 years even though the project was projected for a few years to complete under the previous contract. How much did Buhari pay for this project? Nigerians will be the one to pay for the project eventually. Buhari has zero credit on this project if you ask me

On Point!

A question many has refused to answer.

Mention a legacy project of GEJ to the South East through out his reign as president.

GEJ only enriched his South East cronies against the public intrest.

No matter how you will put it GEJ Administration on infrastructural development was a disaster.

Their was no single growth in that area

1. Goodluck Jonathan upgraded Enugu airport to international airport

2. Goodluck Jonathan built a federal university in Ebonyi State - a new state that never had one.

3. Goodluck Jonathan built Enugu - Abakaliki Expressway

4. Goodluck Jonathan reconstructed many railway lines in the South East. In fact, in 2015, I personally travelled from Enugu to Port Harcourt in one GEJ train. Media reports say that this route was the most lucrative in the country at the time.

5. Goodluck Jonathan rehabilitated several sections of Enugu - Port Harcourt expressway

6. He finished up sections of Onitsha-Owerri Expressway

7. He completed and rehabilitated Owerri-Aba Road in Imo and Abia States

In fact, this is a list of projects Goodluck Jonathan completed in the country.

https://www.nairaland.com/2982407/new-list-204-projects-commissioned

So, I just mentioned the ones I have firsthand experience of. I know that Nigerians have short memories, so it's advisable to do some Google search before making claims you cannot substantiate.
