Oga, rest abeg.
The SW has always been the highest International passport holder. All the stats and info provided so far on this thread have pointed to that fact.

Rest, don't sweat over this reality and fact accept this and know peace. SW is ahead.

Common sense ought to tell you why Lagos topped the list with over 1.2million.

I cant remember me or any member of my family applying for international passport in any Southeast State. After the end of the civil war in 1970, more Igbos live outside Southeast more than those living inside Southeast just like it is with Israelis. Some of the reasons are due to federal government marginalization of Southeast states which are part of the reasons Igbos have been agitating for their own independent nation yet when they do, you Yorubas that curse them and hate them will be the first to start crying that Igbos love Biafra this and that yet you cant just accept the truth that you cant survive without Igbos.

Whenever Yorubas start Yoruba nation agitation Igbos always support them, but when Igbos ask to leave Nigeria, Yorubas, Hausa-Fulanis start preparing to fight Igbos, doesn't that alone tell you who can't survive without the other?

I did mine in Lagos, same with my wife and kids. Same with all my siblings with some in Abuja. All my friends I know did theirs in Lagos, Abuja or Ibadan.

You guys just love acting ignorant to obvious truths you know.

But besides being a national identification and travel data, this indicates travel source states or regular departure points of most Nigerians. A breakdown of passports issued between 2014 and 2018 showed that the South-West has the highest number, at 650,958 new passports issued.

Lagos has the highest number (1,264,528), followed by Oyo (233,004), Ogun (166,920), Osun (109,016), Ondo (91,161) and Ekiti (50,857). The South-South came second, with Edo topping at 172,435 new passports.

The statistics was accurate with population of Africans of Nigerian decent living in The US.

It then goes further to give an estimated
population of African households that speak some identifiable Nigerian dialects. This stat does not represent the population of each Nigerian tribe living in the US, they even stated it there if you read the introductory statement.

It is a known fact in Nigeria that After Hausas, the next tribe in Nigeria that love speaking their dialect are the Yorubas.

Many Igbos living in the cities don't even give their kids Igbo names, neither do they speak Igbo dialect in their homes, but you can hardly find a Yoruba kid without a Yoruba ethnic name, and this I always envy about the Yorubas on how they uphold their culture wherever they go.

All my relatives that live in the US, none of their kids speak Igbo and this has been a factor modern Igbo families including mine are trying to change.

My kids don't understand Igbo despite my little effort to ensure they do.

So please that statistics is not a representation of population of each Nigerian tribes living in the US.

You guys should learn to interpret facts and stop confusing yourselves.

See the data below:

Of the various African languages spoken in U.S Households, only a handful were statistically significant enough to obtain discrete codes and statistical representation.codification. Out of the West African languages represented, some such as Yoruba, Igbo and Wolof are stand alone languages, while others such as Edoid, Gbe and Manding languages are linguistic groupings of similar languages. The following are the 10 largest West African languages spoken in America. The big 3 are:

Yoruba - 149,358

Akan Languages
(Incl. Twi) - 141,583

Igbo - 94,788

The other 7 represented languages are:

Manding Languages - 30,381
Wolof - 26,255
Fulah - 18,563
Kabuverdianu - 18,451
Gbe Languages - 17,212
Edoid Languages - 16,699
Ga - 10,542

Who said it does? The point is that you or people like you claimed for years that Ibos are more in the US and we know from census data that more people identify as Yoruba speakers than Ibos

You can spin that fact however you like but it cannot substantiate the notion that Ibos are more

In fact, SS is the second holder after SW.

I was anxiously waiting for someone to come up with this and you gracefully did.... I laughed.... grin cheesy grin wink

So when you buy goods with FX made from abroad and ship them into Nigeria, that doesn't count as remittance abi?

And under what header/name tag will they call that sort of international transaction?
Remittance is Money, goods and services are not remittance rather import/export. You cant remit trucks and cars, abeg make we wise small.

You are very wrong.

After Igbos, Edo people are the next Nigerian tribe or people that cherish traveling abroad (mostly Europe), followed by the Yorubas.

So its not about prostitution, Edos have a lot of their men living and working legitimately abroad, I know a handful of them. Mind you, I am not from Edo, I am Igbo but truth must be told as it is always
You Igbos and empty ego are 5 & 6.

U are assuming, ask your brother how he transfers money, I have a 1st bank and a GTB and UBA accounts, my 1st bank is even a Diaspora account, I dare not use it reasons. you get official rate of Naira aka CBN rate remittance in Nigeria and charged more for transfer fees, My agents today charged me £50 to transfer £2000 to my 1st bank account rate N930/£.
How's it going erico2k2?

I'm not assuming. Lol.

First off, I'm not saying you are wrong about the use of agents to transfer funds. Right off the bat, I agreed with your original post.

All I wanted to do in my post was to emphasize that my younger brother (who lives with his family in
England) uses his GTWorld mobile banking app to transfer funds from England and money is instantly credited in the Naira bank account in Nigeria.

I'm scheduled to speak to him on phone later tommorow from my base, and ask him for the specifics of how he does his transfers to then appear in the Naira currency.

All the best.

I've been to countries you probably never have heard before and I've seen a lot of Omoluabis there. I've been privileged to travel to a lot of countries around the world. From the rich and exotic ones to the poor ones, I'm so surprised to see a lot of my people there..... Also I want you to understand Yorubas are more than any ethnic group in the Western world and that's where our remittance comes from majorly.... All those importer dollars nonsense only lives in your fantasies. Omo you people are delusional... You think a lot of Yorubas are also not angry with the APC government?? Lol

I understand you lol what your brother is doing is what I'm doing, But how the money gets to his GT account in Nigeria is unknown to you, So what I described there is how it gets there and he can transfer to anyone in Nigeria with his token from here, I do same.

There is no need going tribalistic here, and if indeed you guys want to go to that road, The Yoruba brothers and sisters plus the igbo brothers and sisters have been Embarrassing Nigerians with their wave of crime since 1980gbongol, so none of you guys have the moral ground to chat about crime. Enough of this Irrelevant tribal cashing.
